2.1 Introduction
The ZXD3000 rectifier is used in a communications system. It converts AC input power
to DC output power. The rated output voltage and rated output power of the ZXD3000
rectifier is 53.5 V and 3000 W, respectively.
In most cases, the ZXD3000 rectifier is used together with a power supply system. As
the core power unit, it determines the input and output indexes of the entire power supply
system. The ZXD3000 rectifier can be widely used in the power supply systems of
communications devices including switch devices and base stations.
Figure 2-1 shows the external view of the ZXD3000 rectifier.

one-click query.
l Support for automatic current sharing.
l Electromagnetic compatibility compliant with EN55022 Class B.
2-2
l Overload protection
When the output power of the ZXD3000 rectifier exceeds the overload protection
threshold, the ZXD3000 rectifier automatically shuts down and is blocked. It restores
after the AC power supply is disconnected and re-powers on. Visible alarm signals
are generated during protection.
l Intelligent fan speed adjustment
2-3
The fan speed of the ZXD3000 rectifier can be automatically adjusted according to
the environmental temperature and real-time operating status.
l Monitoring and communications
Address setting
The address of the ZXD3000 rectifier can be set automatically or manually. For
automatic setting, the address of each ZXD3000 rectifier whose communication
has been established is set based on specified rules. All ZXD3000 rectifiers
connected in parallel are coded sequentially. By default, the address is set
automatically. The address of the ZXD3000 rectifier can also be set manually
through the monitoring unit. The factory default address of each ZXD3000
rectifier is 1.
Input voltage/current detection, output voltage/current detection, and inner
temperature detection
The detection circuit inside the ZXD3000 rectifier detects the input
voltage/current, output voltage/current and inner temperature.
Teleindication, tele-measuring and tele-controlling
The ZXD3000 rectifier supports the teleindication, tele-measuring and
tele-controlling functions.
Rectifier ID monitoring
When a ZXD3000 rectifier is used in the power supply system, its ID can be
monitored and identified.
Output voltage/current adjustment
The output voltage of the ZXD3000 rectifier can be continuously adjusted through
external monitoring, range: 42 V59.5 V, step: 0.1 V.
The current limitation threshold of the ZXD3000 rectifier can be continuously
adjusted through external monitoring, range: 5 A58 A, step: 0.5 A. The current
limitation precision is no greater than 2% of the maximum current.

Overvoltage Protection
When the AC input voltage is higher than the configured overvoltage protection threshold,
overvoltage protection is enabled. The ZXD3000 rectifier is shut down, there is no output
current, and the alarm indicator is lit. When the voltage decreases to the overvoltage
restoration threshold, the ZXD3000 rectifier automatically resumes operating properly.
The overvoltage protection threshold of the ZXD3000 rectifier is 300 V5 V, the hysteresis
voltage is 5 V to 10 V, and the overvoltage restoration threshold equals the overvoltage
protection threshold minus the hysteresis voltage.

Figure 4-1 shows the relationship between the AC input voltage and the output power of
the ZXD3000 rectifier. For a description of the relationship, refer to Table 4-1.

Figure 4-2 shows the output features of the ZXD3000 rectifier in the following conditions:
l Point A corresponds to output voltage 58 V, and the typical output current capacity is
52.5 A.
l Point B corresponds to output voltage 48 V, and the typical output current capacity is
63.5 A.
l Area C corresponds to output voltage lower than 41 V. In this area, the ZXD3000
rectifier must operate stably and reliably, basic requirements for connecting power
units in parallel must be met, and there is no mandatory requirement for the output
features.
l When the output voltage is between 41 V and 48 V, the output current is constant.
l When the output voltage is lower than 36 V, the ZXD3000 rectifier restarts for
protection.
If the ambient temperature is higher than 55 C, the ZXD3000 enters the power decrease
with high temperature mode. If the input voltage is lower than 176 V, the ZXD3000 enters
the input power limit mode. If both the input voltage and ambient temperature are high, the
maximum current limit threshold is further reduced. In that case, the maximum power and
maximum output current are simultaneously affected by the input voltage, output voltage,
and ambient temperature.

the ambient temperature reaches 75 C, the output power is no lower

l Do not touch the output interface of the ZXD3000 rectifier during operation to avoid
risks.
Steps
1. Prepare an AC input cable and a DC output cable with proper connectors.
Caution!
Do not use an A-class socket to connect the AC input cable because devices are not
allowed to be connected to the electrical grid directly through an A-class socket.
Context
To independently use multiple ZXD3000 rectifiers connected in parallel, you must connect
the positive and negative DC output terminals of all ZXD3000 rectifiers in parallel, and
connect the CAN bus bar. Figure 6-1 shows how to connect the positive and negative DC
output terminals of all ZXD3000 rectifiers, and how to connect the CAN bus bar.

7.2 Troubleshooting
7.2.1 Alarm Indicator or Fault Indicator Lit
You can determine the operating status of the ZXD3000 rectifier according to the alarm
indicator or the fault indicator.
Context
If the alarm indicator or the fault indicator is lit, the ZXD3000 rectifier operates
improperly. For a description of the relationship between these two indicators and the
system operating status, refer to Table 7-3.

Status
Fault indicator On The ZXD3000 rectifier is probably in The fault indicator indicates
(red) one of the following status: output whether the ZXD3000 rectifier
overvoltage, output undercurrent, is faulty.
fan faults, or output fuse broken.
Steps
1. Check whether the fan operates properly and whether it is blocked by foreign objects.
If the fan is blocked by foreign objects, clear them. If the fan does not operate properly,
the ZXD3000 rectifier is faulty.
2. Check whether the AC power supply operates properly. If the AC input voltage
does not meet the requirements, the electrical grid is faulty. You must check and
troubleshoot the electrical grid. If the AC input voltage is normal, the ZXD3000
rectifier is faulty.
7-2
3. Contact a maintenance engineer to replace the faulty ZXD3000 rectifier with a backup
one. Do not remove the ZXD3000 rectifier by yourself.
End of Steps
Context
The operation indicator is flashing, which indicates that the ZXD3000 rectifier is in
current-limited status.
Steps
1. Check whether the power supply system is recharging. It is normal that the ZXD3000
rectifier is in current-limited status when the power supply system is recharging. No
action is required.
2. Check whether the input current is excessively large due to the loads. If the load
on a circuit is abnormal, turn off the output air circuit breaker or fuse of this circuit
immediately, locate the fault, and troubleshoot the ZXD3000 rectifier.
3. Check whether the environmental temperature is higher than 55 C.
If yes, the ZXD3000 rectifier must be derated. In this case, when the output voltage
reaches 48 V or lower, if the load exceeds the threshold, current limitation is triggered.
End of Steps
