Title: Getting to know

Rationale:

Getting to know with others, starts with interaction. We interact, we learn, and we know.
George W. Bush once said The best diplomacy starts with getting to know each other. At first,
there is shyness but once interaction starts, getting to know becomes a process. Through this, we
should be able to communicate, to interact and know each other.

Objectives:

To help them be aware with their surroundings.


To give them the understanding of knowing each other.
To know the importance of ones self.
To further understand interaction.

Rules:

1. Nobody is allowed to go out during the activity.


2. Nobody is allowed to do unnecessary things.

Expectations:

1. The facilitators expect the participants to cooperate on the activity.


2. The facilitators expect the participants to get and understand the information given.
Icebreaker: Dance exercise (Frog Dance)

Duration: 5 minutes

Mechanics:

1. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the dance exercise. This required only to follow
the steps flashed in the television.

Focus Activity:

Title: Bring me

1. The participants will be divided into 3 groups.Facilitator will assign a certain member for
their role (president, vice presidents, secretary, etc.)
2. Facilitator will ask the participants to bring a particular position to the facilitator
3. The first group to bring the assigned person will have points.
4. The person asked by the facilitator, h /she will introduce herself/himself ( suach as
names, age, favorite food, color and ambition in life).

Title: Basketball Shoot, Baseball bat, Soccer kick

Procedures:

1. The participants will be divided into 3 groups. Each group will be assigned a certain
Chant and action.
2. To start the activity the first group will sing the chant and actions 3 times and pass the
turns to the opponent by chanting and acting their opponents chant.
3. The participants must respond immediately or else they will be out.
4. The last group remains will be the winner.

Rationale:

In a team or group, cooperation is very needed in order to execute the task well and
achieve the goal. Without cooperation, a team would not be united and that there is possibility
for failure. Cooperation is a higher moral principle than competition:. Bryan Mcgill stated.

Title: Practicing Motivation

Rationale:

People have desires and inspirations, even if they dont know they have. Professor Steven
Reiss says nearly all human behavior has intrinsic motivation, the tendency to find challenges, to
push to find out for more, explore, and learn as much as possible. It is about reaching the most
possible potential as a human being. According to Albert Einstein, Life is like riding a bicycle,
to keep your balance you must keep moving.

Objectives:

1. To help the participants to become motivated in everyday living.


2. To help the participants learn the importance of motivation.

Name of the Icebreaker: Pass the Price

Duration: 10 minutes

Mechanics:

1. The group will be divided into three groups.


2. The participants will fall in line by group.
3. The participants will be instructed to remember the ff:
Eyebrows- 100
Eyes- 50
Nose- 20
Cheek-10
Lips- 5
Ears-1
4. The participants will be given a certain amount and should relay to his group mate using
only his facial expression.

5. The first group who got the correct price will gain the points.

6. The group with the largest points will be the winner.

Focus Activity:

No. 1: Spoonerism

Duration: 15 minutes

Materials: Rumbled words

Mechanics:

1. The participants will be divided into three groups.

No. 2: Bring the ball with Yarn

Duration: 15 minutes

Materials: Paper balls, Yarn, Basket

Mechanics:

1. The participants will be divided into three groups.

2. Each group will be instructed to bring the ball in the basket using the given yarn.
3. The first group who will be able to make it successfully will be the winner.

No. 3: Get the Goal

Duration: 15 minutes

Materials:
1. Balloons
2. Basket
3. Back pack

Mechanics:

1. The participants will be divided into three groups.


2. Each group will be given a balloon and a basket.
3. The group should form a line 5 meters away from the basket
4. Each participant should shoot the balloon into the basket without using their shoulders,
arms, and hands.
5. Do not drop the balloon, if so, the participants should go back to the starting line and start
again.
6. Each participant will be given 3 minutes to shoot the balloon as many as he/she can.
7. After consuming the 3 minutes, the person next will follow.

Note: You can use any strategy you want but dont forget the instructions given.

3. How does it feel when you won the game? How about those who did not win?
4. Do you find the activity difficult to accomplish? If yes, how did you overcome? Is it
easy? What strategies you used?
