the general and particular needs of the students who choose us as their location to learn and enhance their English
language skills. Our courses can be grouped under four titles:

General English choices suitable for those who wish to broadly develop their English language skills. These courses
can be combined and supplemented with a choice of elective options

Examination Preparation courses for those who seek the challenge of successfully completing certification in
English language competency

General Business English (GE1B)


General Business English is designed specifically for students who are interested in developing their general English
language skills and enhancing these for work in a business setting. This course combines group Intensive English
morning classes (GE1 above) with a business elective, in group classes, focusing on a syllabus of business topics,
such as buying, selling, ordering and marketing, on three afternoons per week.

EXAMINATION PREPARATION COURSES

Students who wish to pursue the challenge of undertaking the Cambridge Examinations in English will benefit from
our Cambridge Examination Preparation courses. These courses are offered for both the First Certificate in English
(FCE) and the Certificate in Advanced English (CAE). Cambridge Preparation courses are based on closed group
tuition classes, each one beginning either 6, 10 or 13 weeks before the scheduled examination sessions taking
place in Galway in March, June and December.

Cambridge Examination Preparation – FCE/CAE Standard


Cambridge Examination Preparation courses are specifically focused on preparing candidates to successfully
complete the examinations which take place three times each year. The standard courses, which take place in the
morning, commence either 10 weeks (for the March session) or 13 weeks (for the June and December sessions)
before the scheduled examination dates.

Atlantic Language Galway can design and prepare tailor-made courses for groups of adult students on request.
Incorporating tuition, accommodation, airport transfers and elective excursions packages, the range of topics that
can be covered in closed groups include, but are not limited to, business management, marketing, economics and
tourism. Groups who wish to participate in the school’s general English programmes are also welcome: classes can

The West of Ireland has so much to discover and enjoy; exploring this wonderful region is great fun with a closed

Over the past number of years our Junior Winter Short-Stay Programme has developed into a unique language
holiday programme suitable for second level students from across the globe. These groups have the option of a 7 or
14 day stay with English language lessons in the mornings and a range of afternoon and evening activities.

One centre is based in Galway and the other in Sligo.

HOW TO GET TO GALWAY


Galway is located on the west coast of Ireland. Many students who visit Ireland choose to arrive through Dublin
or Shannon Airports. From Dublin it is possible to continue to Galway by air, daytime hourly coach or train. From
Shannon there is a daytime hourly coach service. When students arrive to Galway city centre they can transfer to
their accommodation by taxi without any difficulty.
