GOALS: The main goal of this class is to provide each student with the tools they need to be successful

in later
math courses. Lesson plans have been created thoughtfully based on the South Carolina College- and Career-
Ready Standards. The topics we will be covering this year include expressions and equations, the number system,
ratios and proportional relationships, geometry, and statistics.

digits: The Fort Mill School district has adopted digits as our curriculum for middle grades math. This
comprehensive program will provide students with a technology based approached to mathematics. As a part of
this curriculum students will receive a student homework workbook and online access to lessons and tutorials.

MATH 911: Every Tuesday-Friday morning in Room 410 students may arrive at 7:40 and work with a teacher
about math homework concepts.

GRADING : Grades for each of the nine week grading periods will be calculated using the following percentages:
15% Homework/Class Work 30% Quizzes
45% Tests 10% Nine Weeks Exam

HOMEWORK:

Homework is assigned most days. It is for
reinforcement of concepts taught or as a review!
