Description of lesson

Warm up:

Teacher starts by introducing a game called Hangman. Teacher


shows different words and phrases for students to complete. Teacher
creates a stick figure of a hanged man by drawing one line for each
incorrect guess. (13 m)

Reading:

Read and complete the activity below:

Ellie, the elephant-bat


Ellie is a big elephant but she thinks she is a bat. She lives upside-
down in an old tree in the jungle. Ellie gets up at half past six in the
evening. She washes her face and she has her breakfast, she eats
fruit.

At eight oclock in the evening, after her breakfast, Ellie goes to see
her friends. They fly between the trees of the jungle. They chase
insects and play games. At one oclock in the morning Ellie is hungry
again, its lunchtime for her you see. Ellie goes to bed at six oclock in
the morning.

Read the text and complete the sentences with only one word.
