Houska Castle located 47 kilometres north of Prague, in the Czech Countryside,

Constructed between 1253 and 1278 during the reign of Ottokar II of Bohemia, this 762-year-old
gothic castle that was built to seal shut what locals believe is the real-life entrance to the
underworld. The castle was extensively renovated in the 16th century, mixing Renaissance style with its
imposing Gothic structure.

Numerous stories surrounding this castle about the pit and the monsters that would claw their way of
