1. DEMO SCRIPT OVERVIEW
DEMO DESCRIPTION
The Demo Script, S/4 HANA Plan to Product: Repetitive Manufacturing focuses on
Sales Order Independent production using Make to Stock (MTS) process order manufacturing
MRP Planning with Independent requirements
Making entry in Planning Table
Back Flush for Dependent Materials

1.1.1 Planned Independent Requirements Creation

This script starts with creation of Planned Independent Requirements (PIR) manually. The result is
the Independent Requirements for Finished Material, which would be base for MRP Run for
components.

1.1.2 Operative Material Requirements Planning

Material Requirements Planning (MRP) run will generates replenishment elements for all the BOM
Components of the finished material. System automatically generates the Planned Order as MRP
element, through which Purchase Requisition generated for Externally Procured materials and
Process Orders for the materials produced in-house. Production Planner will convert theses planned
orders in to process order. As a result, the system reserves all the required components.

1.1.3 Planning Table

Planner will make entries in the planning table for specific production line in Repetitive
Manufacturing. In scheduling, the system calculates the production start and finish dates of the
orders. The finish date determines the period to which the production quantities are assigned in the
planning table. The system also calculates the dates of the planning operation (that is, the operation
with the work center used for scheduling - usually the production line), which are then displayed
separately. If capacity planning is activated, the system carries out the scheduling automatically
when you invoke the planning table.

1.1.4 Repetitive Manufacturing Back Flush

In this step, components consumption would be done automatically from the system, there by
manual transaction is avoided.

KEY MESSAGES AND VALUE PROPOSITION

This is an End-to-End mapping of business scenario for MTS Production by Repetitive Manufacturing
for process industries. The apps
Allows MRP Controllers to have visibility of all the supply and Demand elements, identify
the issues more quickly, and find better solutions to material shortage issues.
Allows Production Supervisor to monitor the progress of different process orders
Allows Production Operator and Warehouse Clerk to execute the orders for which they are
responsible
Allows Planner to modify the planned quantities for individual production lines

STORYFLOW SUMMARY

Repetitive Manufacturing is commonly used when a production process meets the following criteria:
The same or similar products are produced over a lengthy period of time. The products produced
are not manufactured in individually defined lots. Instead, total quantity is produced over a certain
period at a certain rate per part-period. The products produced always follow the same sequence
through the machines and work centers in production. Routings tend to be simple and do not vary
much.

step, report, or item is covered in its own section, providing the system interactions (test steps) in a
table view. Steps that are not in scope of the process but are needed for testing are marked
accordingly. Project-specific steps must be added.
