states by the FDA. Experience working in a cross functional team.
Comply with established practices, policies and documented procedures

Research Graduate Summer Intern June2015-July2015

University of Texas at Arlington Research Institute
Supported product development of Bubble actuator for seat cushion, Biomedical Engineering project.
This project is used for various assistive and preventive Biomedical applications.
Interfaced pressure sensors with Arduino micro-controller with the aim of controlling the internal
pressure of individual bubble.
Summit Healthcare December 2010- January 2012
Biomedical Engineering Analyst Trainee
Supported the maintenance, repair, and calibration of defibrillator and pulse oximeters.
Resolved complaints and performed service checks on the defibrillators as required by the company.
Managed Spirometers, PFT machines, bedside multipara monitors, and medical disposable products as
well as advised doctors regarding purchase of better products depending on specifications and budget.
Conducted product assessments and analyzed data sets using Excel to support product optimization
solutions.

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Trainee

Conducted product assessments and analyzed large data sets using Minitab and Excel to support
product optimization and performance solutions.
Participated in inspection trials; analyzing product dimensions, reliability, material costs, trends,
variances, and improvement opportunities through Minitab.
Review Minitab pass/fail charts and graphs to develop technical reports and test summaries to
support product development and improvement initiatives.
The goal was to save money by reducing material consumption of the by-product used in production
of CAM and Gear of an Ice maker module ensuring max efficiency. This was a case study of an
industrial project.
Changing the dimensions and ratio of the impurity in CAM and Gear of the ice maker, we came to an
optimized solution keeping in mind the breakage torque saving $432871.00.
Gained knowledge about six sigma methodology (DMAIC), PDP/TDP, ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 13053: 2011
standards. Also performed Root Cause Analysis of the problem (using FMEA, SIPOC, flowchart, and
fishbone method).

University of Texas, Biomedical Engineering

Fatigue analysis using EMG based on gender (Lab Principles, UTA)
Acquired real time biological EMG signal from 20 subjects (Team of 2)
Performed statistical data analysis as well as power analysis for testing the Hypothesis.
Utilized Excel complex formulations to evaluate raw data and control groups to support hypothesis
testing and laboratory experimentations. Also performed Design of experiments (DOE).
Used Excel complex formulations, MATLAB, and G-Power to evaluate patients raw data and biological
control groups to support hypothesis testing and laboratory experimentations.
Collected and analyzed the data, produced report based on the project.
Performed technical writing; delivering weekly technical reports including technical methodologies,
formulations, statistics, testing results, and summaries.

Optical Computed Tomography (Biomedical Optics, UTA)

Constructed a Phantom using PDMS. (Team of 4)
Worked as a part of a team to set up the optical system for shadowgram acquisition using DAQ assistant.
3D reconstruction was performed from obtained shadowgram of the phantom using MATLAB.
Utilized Excel complex formulations to evaluate raw data and control groups to support hypothesis
testing and laboratory experimentations.
