higher education of repute, out of which at least
eight years regular experience should be at the level
of Dy Secretary I Dy Registrar (PB-3, Rs. 15,600-
39100, GP Rs.7600) or equivalent; and
iii) Having thorough knowledge of drafting/ preparing
minutes, fund raising, interaction with GOI and
NGOs of repute.
Desirable:
i) Knowledge of universities functioning, their Act &
statutes and rules & regulations;
ii) Knowledge of working with foreign academic
institutions and their education system

General Instructions and Guidelines

1. Separate application form is to be submitted for each post.

2. AIU reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all the posts advertised.
No correspondence will be entertained from the candidates regarding
postal delays, conduct, result, reason for not being shortlisted etc.

3. Relaxation of 5% marks shall be awarded to SC / ST / PWD candidates.


Also, relaxation in age will be admissible to SC / ST / PWD / Ex-
serviceman candidates/ AIU Employees in the feeder cadre of the post as
per the rules.

4. Incomplete applications, applications not in prescribed format and those


received after due date or application form not accompanied by the
requisite documents/ processing fee (if applicable), shall not be
entertained, in any case.

5. All applicants who are presently employed in Government/ Semi Govt. /


Public Sector Undertaking/ University/ Recognized Educational Institute
etc are required to submit application through proper channel or submit
a No Objection Certificate from present employer.

6. Fulfillment of conditions of minimum qualification shall not necessarily


entitle any applicant to be called for interview.

7. Employment of the AIU shall be governed by the rules and regulations,


service conditions, as may be notified by AIU from time to time.

8. In addition to basic pay, employee shall be entitled to other allowances


as per rules and regulations of AIU.

9. Application Forms must be accompanied by attested copies of


Caste/PWD / Ex-serviceman certificate (if claiming any relaxation), Age,
Educational and professional qualifications, Experience certificates or
any other specific achievement which the applicant wishes to place for
consideration.

10. Candidature of applicant shall be subjected to verification of testimonials


at a subsequent stage.

11. No TA/DA shall be payable to applicant for any journey performed for
attending the interview.

12. Canvassing in any form shall attract disqualification.


13. No enquiry personal or in writing for recruitment shall be entertained.

14. Legal disputes shall be subject to jurisdiction of Delhi Courts.

15. In case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD Category the applicant should be in


possession of appropriate certificate issued by competent authority.

16. The application, on the prescribed form, duly filled in, completed in all
aspects and accompanied by all relevant documents in support of age,
category, educational qualifications and experience must be submitted in
the AIU or sent by post so as to reach The Secretary General,
Association of Indian Universities, AIU HOUSE, 16, Comrade Indrajit
Gupta Marg, New Delhi 110002 latest by 11th April, 2014 at 5 p.m.
AIU will not be responsible for any postal delays/loss.
