A. Notice that gustar is used with INDIRECT OBJECT PRONOUNS, and NEVER subject
pronouns. (It is never correct to say Yo me gusta or Yo gusta.) This is a little weird
for us as English speakers, but youll get over it.
*Also notice that a noun subject ALWAYS has an article (el, la, los, las) unless it is a person
(unusual). Again, this is very different than English, but get over it.
Me gustan las flores. = I like flowers
Me encantan los sbados= I love Saturdays
Traduce:

B. Notice that the verb is conjugated to match the thing or things that please the
person, and NOT the person himself/herself. (It is never correct to say Me gusto las
flores.)

C. Notice that if the indirect object (the person to whom something is pleasing or
enchanting) is named (eg, Luisa, Manuel, the teacher, my friend, etc.) you MUST put an
a in front of the persons name. (It is never correct to say Clara le gusta nadar.)
