EXEMPLAR-ZERO INITIATIVE OVERVIEW

The I.R.E.O (Intergovernmental Renewable Energy Organization) in association with Humanitad Foundation are proud to
present the Exemplar-Zero (E-Z) Initiative to all world nations

This intergovernmental initiative heralds the dawn of a new dynamic and cooperative approach toward manifesting a just
and sustainable world - now. It invites and challenges all nations to demonstrate their
stated obligations toward mitigating climate-change, carbon-emissions and ensuring a sustainable future

The E-Z Initiative demands a policy-perspective recognition of the urgent need for a harmonious balance
between the built and the natural environment. It also invites an active consensus between governments,
industry and grass-roots

The E-Z Initiative is cutting out the background noise and vested interests which often stand in the way of real change. It
will, at the same time, exemplify governments, businesses and institutions which demonstrate real and proactive commit-
ments to ushering in environmental sustainability

Exemplar-Zero invites participating nations to submit their own innovations for selection within the E-Z Index of technolo-
gies, solutions & best-practices - thereby defining the new standards of planetary sustainability
HOW THE INITIATIVE FUNCTIONS

u The Exemplar-Zero Initiative is initially inviting a selection of 12 pilot-nations to lead the way
u The Initiative will be launched on 10/10/2010 at the Exemplar-Zero World Summit in Kuwait
u The Initiative will seek to fast-track full-spectrum sustainability in the pilot-nations

E-Z offers a full-spectrum of breakthrough technologies, best-practices and solutions to meet the ‘climate-mitigation, carbon-
reduction and sustainable energy’ needs of all nations. An E-Z Commission consisting of leading experts in policy analysis,
economics and industrial application will be tailored to each participating nation to assist in formulating a bespoke
‘rescue-package’

This package will consist of a broad analysis of the requirements of the nation coupled with a selection of breakthrough
technologies and applications tailored to suit them - exemplifying the best and most efficient sustainable modalities
available. In this way, full-spectrum sustainability will take a quantum leap forward in those nations participating in the
Exemplar-Zero Initiative

Many of the technologies within the Exemplar-Zero ‘basket’ will be available for national and regional licensing thereby
offering substantial commercial opportunities to the participating nations
DEFINING THE E-Z APPROACH

u Zero-tolerance toward over-centralization of policy & control in energy, carbon & climate
u Zero-growth in negative environmental impact (reduction of existing footprints to zero)

THE E-Z INDEX (launching 10/10/2010)

The Exemplar-Zero Index describes a new quarterly international codex of Best-Practices, Technologies & Solutions which
will be promoted internationally as the directory of choice. The listing will be designated according to straightforward
criteria and consist of those applications most readily capable of U-turning the current planetary crisis in renewable
energy, carbon-reduction and climate-mitigation. It will contain a star-rating system akin to the Michelin star rating system
now popularly recognized around the world

THE E-Z FUND (launching 10/10/2010)

The Exemplar-Zero Fund describes a new global infrastructure fund which will accrue via the revenues generated through
many of the breakthrough technologies within the Exemplar-Zero basket. Participating nations are invited to lean their
sovereign wealth against the E-Z Fund - creating a robust community-chest. A robust SBLC method of funding is also being
made available via the Exemplar-Zero Fund

THE ANNUAL E-Z SUMMIT (launching 10/10/2010)

The E-Z World Summit is planned as the annual congress of participating nations, businesses and grassroots stakeholders
in the worldwide drive toward the new-energy economy - based on full spectrum sustainability
THE E-Z MESHWORK (launching 10/10/2010)

The E-Z Meshwork is launching as an immersive on-line portal which will act as catalyst and match-maker
for all nations, businesses and networks connected to the Exemplar-Zero platform. The Meshwork will
function as a galvanizing platform for the Millennium Development Goals international community of IGO’s
, NGO’s and grassroots organizations committed to full-spectrum sustainability

THE E-Z AWARDS (launching Summer 2011)

The Exemplar-Zero Awards is launching as an annual global focus red-carpet event which will spotlight
the best extant innovations, practices and solutions meeting the planetary carbon-reduction, climate-
mitigation and sustainable energy needs. The event will be produced by Humanitad - Executive Producer
of the annual Millennium Development Goals Awards

The IREO E-Z Expo is planned as an annual expositional event featuring and spotlighting emergent
