RESUMEN
ABSTRAC
Due to its low hardness, copper oxide ores tend during the milling
process to form limes (particles smaller than 20 microns) which are difficult to
recover through conventional flotation processes, in this paper has been used
selective flocculation followed by flotation to recover copper oxide ores of
small sizes.
The results show that the variables have more impact on the
flocculation process are pH, addition of dispersant, the flocculation time and
the dose of reagent used for flocculation. For the minerals studies have
shown that it is feasible to concentrate the micro particles of copper oxide
ores through clustering, obtaining concentrates with a grade of 36 percent
copper and recoveries of the order of 70 to 80 percent copper. The floc-
flotation process shows that can be used to remove copper oxide ores such
as malachite (Cu2 ( OH )2CO3) and the brochantite (Cu4( OH )6 SO4), which by
its composition are readily soluble during the stage of milling.

CONCLUSIONES
Se ha logrado recuperar partculas de malaquita de tamaos menores
a 20 micras mediante la floculacin selectiva y flotacin mediante espumas
usando como agente aglomerante al Hidroxamato Octlico de Potasio.
