7th Grade Spanish Syllabus

Materials needed: 1 subject notebook, 1 pocket folder, pen, eraser, color pencils or color markers, glue stick
and scissors.
Course Description: This course is intended for the beginning Spanish language student. The students will
develop the four language skills, speaking, listening, reading, and writing throughout the year. There are several
degrees of language proficiency and my objective is to help my students grow. Also, they will learn the rich
culture of the Hispanic World through projects, music, presentations, etc., as there is not really a true
immersion in the language without culture, and this will be woven into the lesson plans.
Students will study the Spanish language by themes.
Content to be covered the first quarter:
These themes will be covered more in depth in this class than in my 6th grade classes, and accompanied by
Spanish Grammar and Culture in preparation for 8th grade Spanish.

Latin America Countries

CAUTION, cheating is not allowed on any type of assessments (tests, quizzes), projects or homework. You will
receive no credit for the work that was compromised. Avoid a zero.
Extra help:
1. I am available after school. Please schedule to stay after school with me if you feel you need extra help.
It is better to ask for extra help as soon as there is confusion.
