Pattern Line

1. Purpose and description

Use this tool to draw the complex line in a Tekla drawing.

2. System requirements
Tekla Structures version: 18.0
.NET Framework version: 4.0
Environments: Default
Languages: English

3. Installation
To install the application:
1. Download Pattern Liner installation package from the Tekla Extranet.
This plugin is included in Weld Path Drawing Tool and Patten Line Editor installers.
2. Run the installation package.

4. Usage
To use the application:
1. Double click on the toolbar to open the Pattern Line window and make desired
modifications (if needed).

2. Click Apply to save the modifications.

3. To start the application, click once on the created toolbar.

5. Click the middle mouse button to create the pattern line.

Field Description Default

Pattern Select a defined complex line.

Line
Define the type of start element.

Start The options are:

None
Element None - Start element will not be showed in drawing
Start - Start element will be showed in drawing
Define the type of end element.

End The options are:

None
Element None - End element will not be showed in drawing
End - End element will be showed in drawing
Define the spacing options (to visualize the changes made
the first and second block element will change position).
The options are:
Default
Left - Elements will be aligned to the left;

Spacing Right - Elements will be aligned to the right;

Centered
Options

Centered - Elements will be centered;

Equi space - Elements will have the same space

between;

Best fit Tries to introduce between the start and

end elements a large number of blocks with minimal
distortion.

Size Define the size of the element. 1

Define how to scale the complex line.
The options are:

Scaling View - The line and elements are drawn scaled View
down to the view;
Paper - The line and elements are drawn scaled
down to the scale of the paper
Color Define the color of the elements. Default

6. Additional information
The complex line cannot be exploded.
The complex line doesn't update automatically if the drawing scale changes is
changed.
The complex line cannot be cloned.
