Main Achievements in the field of sports and games in the year 2016-17

1. Our college team won the 3 rd place in the Kerala University interzone cricket tournament (120
colleges participated in the tournament)
2. Our college team won the 3 rd place in the Kerala University intercollegiate North zone cricket
tournament (120 colleges participated in the tournament)
3. Our college football team won the 3 rd place in the Kerala University intercollegiate North zone
Football tournament. (86 colleges participated in the tournament)
4. Thomas Mathew of I DC (Psy) secured the 1st place in the 400mts Hurdles in the state Junior
athletic meet and won the 1st place in the junior National Athletic meet held at Coimbatore
during 2016-17
5. Our Handball team won the 3rd place in the interzone Handball tournament.
6. Vysakh S.V of I PG Eco won the 1st place in the Kerala University intercollegiate Judo
championship.
7. Abhilash of II DC Botany won the 3 rd place in the Kerala University intercollegiate boxing
championship.
8. Following are the results of our students who participated in the Kerala University
intercollegiate athletic meet 2016-17 :
a) Jinu P of II MCom won the first place in the 800mts and 3 rd place in 400mts,
b) Edwin A Sabu of II BA Eng won the first place in 4x100mts Relay and the 3 rd place in100mts
c) Rahul Raj of III BA Eng won the 1 st place in the 4x100mts Relay and the 2 nd place in 400mts,
d) Rijin jose of II BA (Eng) won the 1st place in the 4x100 mts Relay,
e) Hashim H of I BA (Eco) won the 2nd place in High Jump,
f) Immanuel Christy of I BSc (Psy) won the 1st place in 400mts hurdles ,
g) Thomas Mathew of I BA (Eng) won the 1 st place in 400m time trials conducted for the relay
team
Rahul Raj , Jinu P , Edwin A Sabu, Thomas Mathew, and Emmanuel Christy were selected to
represent Kerala University in the all India interuniversity athletic meet 2016-17
9. Thomas Mathew and Rahul Raj won the Bronze medal in the All-India Inter-university athletic
meet 2016-17
10. Prem Raj, Deepu D.P ,Anandhu A.R, and Muhammed Razi, were selected to Represent
Kerala University in the south zone interuniversity Handball championship.
11. Sreeraj J R, Amal G, and Mahesh Sankar were selected to represent Kerala University in the
all India interuniversity cricket tournament.
12. Adersh Harrish of 1 st Dc English won the 1 st place in Kollam district and the second place in
the state Best Physique championship 2016-17
13. Our college team participated in the intercollege tournaments, in Football, Basketball,
Baseball, Athletics, Cricket, Boxing ,Powerlifting, Best Physique, Kabaddi, Judo and wrestling.
