Procedures & Protocols

-Each student will be provided daily access to the Edgenuity online platform to complete the required
coursework.
-Daily, weekly, & 9 week goals will be clearly defined and documented.
-Each students progress will be monitored by the Alternative School Director.
-Progress reports will be issued to the students, parents, and school administration
Progress Grading scale:
*Ahead of schedule
*On Track
*Behind Schedule
-Cell phones will be collected by the Alternative School Director at the beginning of the school day,
placed in a safe location, and returned to the student at the end the day.
-Failure to surrender a cell phone will result in the student being removed by Administration.

Attendance
Alternative School will follow the Attendance policy set by Jasper County High School

Classroom Behavior
-Each student will treat others with respect
-No disruptions to the learning environment student will be removed if disruptions continue
-Students must be on task at all times
-NO TALKING
-NO CELL PHONES
-NO FOOD/DRINK

Daily Procedures
-Each student enrolled in Alternative School will meet in the library by 7:50am
-Students will be escorted to breakfast and lunch at the appropriate times by the Alternative School
Director
-Students will be given supervised restroom breaks strategically based throughout the day
-Students WILL NOT be permitted to leave the classroom unsupervised unless there is an emergency or
called out of class by another teacher/administrator.
