    Optimization of Lead Time in New Product Development

    CANDIDATE:

    3D Printing of Auto parts in New Product Development.

    DESCRIPTION:

    In Korea, new product parts are designed by R&D and prototype is prepared. Actual car parts are
    manufactured using moulding by Vendors and an Assembly check is done.

    In India, assembly of parts in line is confirmed and start of production is being initiated..

    WHY:

    New product takes longer time in the development process 2 years


    Technology used in the current process is not very effective.
    Preparation of auto parts for trial stage assembly is time consuming.
