** Entry Fees mu be deposited in the Egyptian Arabian Horses Pyramid Foundations
account no. 374/1/16624 with Banque Misr branch , Al Gezira branch located in Zamalek,
at 6 Hassan Sabry Street.
**** Only wood shavings will be allowed as bedding for re safety considerations.
Judging System
1. For the Qualifying Classes: Each of the following ve physical attributes for each
horse will be judged separately again the Straight Egyptian Horse breed andards and
given a score out of 20 half points allowed
- Type
- Head & Neck
- Body & Topline
- Legs
- Movement ***
The Judges will place the Top Five in each qualifying class.
In case there is a tie the horse that received the highe score in the Type category will be the
winner If there is a tie in type the horses will be ood up facing one another .The judges will be
allowed to confer and pick the winner.
If there are more than 15 horses entered the class may be split. Should the number of entries
in a qualifying class be less then ve horses, it will be combined with the next age group.
*** Following two laps around the arena by all participating horses at the beginning
of each qualifying class, all horses will be asked to leave the arena. Each horse will
then be called back and required to trot individually around the arena. The move-
ment at a trot for each horse will be evaluated and recorded by the judges. No more
then two laps will be allowed.
The horses will then be brought back in the same order entering at a walk and ood up for evalua-
tion. Movement at a walk will be judged and the combined score of the horses movement at a trot
and a walk is recorded in the movement category
2. For the Championships: There will be no score cards as horses will be judged comparatively
according to the following:
a) In each of the four Championship classes, r placed horses in each of the qualifying class will
line up in order of age, younge being on the far right. Second placed horses will line up behind
them in the same order.
b) Gold Champions will be picked from the class winners (the r row). The Silver Champion will
be chosen from the remaining class winners plus the 2nd placed horse behind the Gold Champion.
The Bronze Champion will be chosen in the same order.
c) All qualifying horses will enter the show arena at a walk and will be ood up for evaluation.
No trotting of the horses will be required.
d) Gold Champions will receive 4 points, Silver 2 and Bronze 1 on each of the judges scoring
cards.
e) In case of a tie the horses will be ood up in facing each other. The judges will be allowed to
confer among themselves to pick a winner.
3. For Most Classic Head: Selection will be made from the horses that qualify for the
Championships ONLY.
Rules of Conduct
1. Exhibitors are warned that any act of discourtesy or disobedience to the ocials on the
part of the owner, groom, trainer, or member of the family of the person participating in the
show, will disqualify the horse from adjudication. The management reserves to itself the right
to remove a groom, horse, trainer or owner from the show without being liable for compensa-
tion or damages. Any acts made during the show that are considered oensive or made with
intent to inuence or cast aspersions on the judging the exhibitor may be banned from the
show
2. Any horses doctored in any way articially, improperly or unfairly prepared or tampered
with before entering the show ring will be disqualied. If it is ascertained that any exhibitor
has made or caused to be made, any false statement in regard to any animal or article exhib-
ited, or if any exhibitor shall attempt to interfere with judges in the performance of their
duties, he or she shall be disqualied.
3. Horses appearing with a PANDA eye or a black shaven muzzle WILL BE DISQUALIFIED
and may not be allowed entry into the show ground.
4. No alteration to alter the basic color of the skin, coat or hooves is permitted. Hoof paints,
colorless varnishes, (slight sanding or polishing of the hooves is permitted) coat dyes are
prohibited. Use of ginger or any other substance that alters the horses natural tail carriage
is forbidden. Whip marks or any other form of abuse will be regarded as full and adequate
grounds for disqualication.
5. In all classes horses may be fully or partly body-clipped with no more then a 10 blade.
Whiskers and eyelashes are not to be touched and the hair outside the ear may be clipped
but the hair deep inside the ears stays untouched. Horses not fullling these criteria will not
be allowed to participate.
6. Horses shall not be punished unnecessarily or severely anywhere on the show grounds.
Whips, excessive imulation by noise or intimidation, excessive jerking or excessive circling
of the horse, or iniction of pain by any means is forbidden in all parts of the show ground,
or able areas at all times. The above oenses are punishable by disqualication at the
discretion of the judges.
8. Handlers and grooms will be neatly dressed and will not wear clothes carrying any form
of advertising which discloses the owners of the horse being exhibited. Only one groom for
every two participating horses will be allowed on the grounds.
9. Stallions and colts aged three years and over mu be shown wearing bits that are both
secure and comfortable for the horse.
10. Any horse that is unruly will be removed from the show ring and disqualied if the judges
or the ring-master determine that the horse may cause harm.
11. Exhibits that appear to be lame may be assessed and placed by the judges. Judges
may decide exclude any horse so lame that assessment will inict pain.
Prize Li
1. Winner trophy and Top Five ribbons will be awarded in each of the qualifying classes.
Monetary award will also be given to the top ve placed horses as shown below:
1st LE 25000 2nd LE 20000 3rd LE 15000 4th LE 10000 5th LE 5000
3. Most Classic Head Winners will be presented with a Trophy and a monetary award of
LE 10000 each
SPECIAL AWARDS
4. Breeding Excellence Awards. This award honors the breeder of the overall highest
scoring Top Five qualifying horses.
5. Egyptian Event Handler of Excellence Award This award will be determined by the
Judges and will be presented to the handler who presents his/her horse with the utmost
respect and compassion while showing them to their best . The award will be announced
and presented prior to the announcement of the Senior Championship Award on the
closing night.
6. Egyptian Event Highest Honors Breeder Awards given to honor and recognize the
Breeders of the Gold
Champions.
