CONNECTIONS
No maintenance should be needed for these connectors. If
connectors should be damaged it is recommended to
replace the gasket when removing the external connector.
STORAGE
Locate area where the counters can be accessed for routine
maintenance.
Schedule battery recharging at least once every two to
three months.
Be sure the unit is turned off before storing. If the counter
is to be stored for an extended length of time, be sure to
remove the battery.
The lithium battery which preserves the time in the unit,
should be changed every 3 to 5 years depending upon use.
BOARD REMOVAL
The TRS unit has been specifically designed for simple board removal.
Remove the four screws fro the faceplate. Full the faceplate upward
and the CPU board will be removed simultaneously. The TRS Unit has
a single CPU with all road tube and auxiliary inputs built onto the main
board for ease of maintenance.
BOARD IDENTIFICATION
Each TRS CPU board is clearly marked on the silk screen with board
specific information. This information may be needed during hardware
level support.

TROUBLE SHOOTING OF TRS-Big MACHINE
PROBLEMS
1. Unit will not turn On.
Be sure the unit is switched ON.
Check battery to make sure it is above 5.5 volts
Verify battery harness is connect properly.
Attach unit to the computer via the dump cable to see if the
unit communicates with the PC.
2. Unit Will Not Count
1. Always dry the unit out completely after removing from the field.
3. Keeping the battery fully charged will prolong its service life. Recharge battery
every six weeks when not in use.
4. Disconnect the serial interface plug if serial communication is not required. This
will substantially prolong battery life.
7. When clearing the LCD display, it is best to attempt blowing off as much as
dust as possible before wiping the surface with a soft damp cloth. This
method limit the chances of scratches being caused by the abrasive found in
the dust.
