1. Introduction: Statement of Teaching Philosophy
In my schooling days, it was a tendency of opposing a question of what do you want to be
when you grow up. By educators early in January. But as I wasnt aware of where my
passion lies, in profession careers. I would say different profession careers every year, and
the reason behind this is that my desire was not demonstrated to grow as a Teacher. Until
my life science teacher saw a potential in me, she delegated the responsibility of being a
student-teacher during her absent times. And that nourished my desire to grow as a
teacher, and an excellent one on that note.
Until that time I was able to establish my goal as a teacher. A goal that would be achievable,
specific and time bound. My goal was to produce an educated generation, that will make
our country better-better in economically status. As a student-teacher at Tshwane
University of Technology currently, during teaching practice, I was supposed to observe, but
fortunately I was given a chance to teach. And I would say my student played a vital role in
the classroom, the most roles I was impressed of was listening. When i mention listening I
am not only saying they were passively involved in the lesson.
Hence I say an understanding of them was the core of the role they played and they were
able to participant in most of the lesson. I came across the situation where other student-
teachers, having second thoughts about being the pillar of the nation (Teacher). As they
came to deal with difficult pupil in the classroom. And I realised that their approach to
teaching have changed-changed by the minor things that they will have to deal with it most
of the days, as teachers. And a question that I asked myself, was has my approach to
teaching has changed? The passion, goals and aims of me being a teacher have changed? In
addition, I realised that I still hold up to my desires as a teacher. The lives all people begins at
their last grade.

(The teacher-learner relationship)

Reason behind aiming to develop classroom dynamic, is looking at learners background and
realising that South Africa is a diverse country. Therefore, it would an assisting in making the
coming teachers to understand and acknowledge their learners. Focusing on the above
mentioned factors that contribute to developing the class room dynamic.Oulining my
teaching responsibilities and roles, was an easy thing to do firstly, focus on the
ethics, norms, attitude and value/morals that I have to uphold would classify my
values/moral as being reliable, trustworthy and friendly, that falls under values. Coming to
moral is about empathy and building a relationship that have trust inside. However, on the
note of roles, the teachers dual role is to teach and manage all the activities associated with
teaching. The below picture state one of the role a teacher should play. Is not a matter of
imparting knowledge but constructing the knowledge, as knowledge is not duplicated but
constructed?
Regardless of so many profession careers, I still say, with pride and love I am the hope of
the coming generation. The education has been emphasised as an essential thing in our
country or in our lives. However, I say I am an essential assert in my country and I quote
from my motto that say, The seed that I plant is the seed, that produce good fruits.

Questioning method is the questions that focus on learners interest and on the main
aspect of the learners result in a clearer understanding of the lesson. We use the
low-order questions. Examples of lower-order questions are:
Remembering
Understanding
Applying
Analysing
Evaluating
Creating
Scaffolding method means two break up the learning content in smaller sections and
hen provide support. The are two types of scaffolding which are:-
Visual scaffolding it contribute to visual thinking, where learners see pictures.
Instructional scaffolding is used to assist learners to master the content and
language of the lesson. One of its disadvantages is time-consuming and its
advantages is assist the learners to be more independent.
The teaching material I consider mostly is textbook. Even though I must consider other
materials and acknowledge the learning styles of other learners, the textbook material is the
best as it was used in Bantu Education. However, not only of it was used in 1980s, but also
it accommodates those who have kinaesthetic, visual and linguistic learning styles learners.
During teaching practice, I used unusual method, which is group work. Group work is when
you give a specific task to the learners that have to be completed by groups of learners in
class. In addition, it allows the teacher time to support learners in the group who are in
need of attention.

(An educational quote by Robert John Meehan)
They are so many technology media that are used to improve the understanding of the
learners and to make them interested in the lesson. Nonetheless, it depends on the teacher
or the learner, how they use the technology in teaching-learning situation. Even though
technology has more positive side than negative side, it is the duty and role of the teacher
to use all resource that are available to accommodate all the learners.
From the quote of the late former president, a man of integrity and a man who believed
strongly in education. A man who will always be an icon and a legend in South Africa.

(The late former president quote of education)
It would give people in my society a hope of believing in eduation. The past wasnt as clear
as the crystal, as I wasnt aware of the profession I wanted to be neither it didnt give me a
clear direction or path that I had to follow. However, my present determine my future, as I
am a living proof that hard work really does pays off.
