Bhojanotsav is an initiative aimed at introducing people
to healthy cooking alternatives and in the process,
helping potters and local artisans have a sustainable
living.

Conceptualized in 2016, we now have a creative range of

earthen cookware, that can be used for daily cooking.

With an unrelenting passion for all things food,

Bhojanotsav aims to change peoples perception of how
food can be cooked, presented and consumed. Welcome

WHY EARTHENWARE COOKING?
Cooking in clay pots, always had a place in our homes and hearts, dating as far back as the
Neolithic age, if not earlier.
The simple yet heavenly recipes and the sustainable cooking techniques, that have come out of
earthenware cooking from various cultures all over the world, have become an integrated part of
our lives.
The Yum Factor:
When it comes to food, the best technological advances, may not always yield the best flavours.
Mud pots become more relevant for modern day cooking, where we are using more acids and
compounds. The non reactive nature of mud pots, ensure the retention of flavours, the way they
are meant to be.
In the long run:
The enhancement of flavours and the addition of layers, leading to a more wholesome and
delectable meal, is something that you realise the very first time you cook in a clay pot. But there
are other things too. Having high porosity, an earthen pot allows the food cooked in it, to have
the right amount of air, steam and light. This allows for gentle and even cooking ensuring much
higher nutrition retention, than in other cookware.
