INTRODUCTION

To make a general recognition of the course, to form bases and to acquire

knowledge related to the course of valuation and negotiation of technology, using

the virtual tools and consulting the proposed cybergraphy.

In this way participate with significant contributions in the forum and contribute to

our collaborative group, valuable concepts that give us feedback in this way is

made an appropriate identification of the structure, as the subject to study during

this academic semester..

OBJECTIVES

General objective
Consolidate and deliver the recognition work of unit 1: phase 1 on technology
valuation and negotiation.

Specific objectives

Identify and appropriate the theoretical concepts delivered in unit 1 of the

course.
Develop practical activities identifying the composition of processes, their
characteristics and also recognize the importance and impact derived from
continuous improvement based on the application of strategies in valuation
and negotiation of technology.
1. What are the risks a Company faces when develops a new technology?

Cules son los riesgos que enfrenta una empresa cuando desarrolla una
nueva tecnologa?

1. Internal IT management. Having the entire IT structure in-house, without

subcontracting, can give rise to problems that are difficult to manage for a single
organization.

2. Associations with counterparts. When working on a joint project with an

external organization, whether a competitor or partner, there may be risks of direct
interconnection between the two parties and information sharing.

3. Subcontracting of services. Care must be taken when having external

service providers such as Human Resources, Legal or IT; It should be checked
that no more data is shared between the two parties.

4. Cybernetic risks to supply chains. Traditional supply and logistics chains can
be severely interrupted by cyber attacks.

5. Disruptive technologies. New technologies, such as smart grids, bring new,

unnoticed effects that are not yet in the eyes of computer professionals.

6. Upward Infrastructure. At present there are societies and economies that

are supported by computer infrastructures, whether their electricity or
telecommunications systems, that if they suffer alterations, such as a potential
regulation of the Internet, would create risks for any organization.

7. External crises. Risks that are outside the system, in which the organization
has no control, such as a malware pandemic, can have a cascade effect.
2. How important is to protect new technologies rights?

The importance of giving protection to intellectual property by virtue of the

fragility in which such rights are in the digital sphere, also becomes a more than
moral interest, often economic. Even this protection initiative is usually driven by
the companies that manage the patrimonial rights or by the producers or publishers
that trade the work, rather than by the authors interested in its creation is spread. It
is clear that the author must recognize his work in a remunerated way, because not
only it is necessary to encourage it to continue generating artistic, literary or
scientific works, but also deserves such recognition, for a personal work that could
not be replaced by any other citizen (Hence copyright protects the originality of
creation). Considering the weighting that is usually given between the copyright
and the users to freely access the material that it produces, it is important to
remember why the defense of copyright is necessary in this computerized society
that puts the works in the hands of the user , Without major difficulty. Copyright
implies exclusive use by the author of the exploitation rights of the work, without
prejudice to any assignments that may be agreed upon by the author, as a
prerogative by virtue of the property that it holds on a property that determines its
nature Personal: the authorial imprint that defines originality.

3. Is innovation a real opportunity for poverty eradication in undeveloped

countries? Why?

Es la innovacin una verdadera oportunidad para la erradicacin de la pobreza

en los pases subdesarrollados? Por qu?
4. It is important for Colombian companies, to protect its inventions?

4. Es importante para las empresas colombianas, proteger sus invenciones?

CONCLUSIONS

By providing students with the necessary knowledge to develop a systemic view

of technology valuation and negotiation as a key process in organizations, through
the use of technologies that facilitate access to reliable sources of information, so
as to strengthen their learning Autonomous and develop all their capabilities as
future industrial engineers.
