    Pursuant to Executive Order No. 137 and DepEd Memo No. 221 s. 2006 known
    as National Disaster Consciousness Month, Bienvenido R. Fojas Memorial Elementary
    School in Sahud-Ulan, Tanza, Cavite conducted the Earthquake Drill on September 28,
    2016 at 9:00 in the morning.

    The main objective of the Earthquake Drill is for the pupils and school personnel
    to be aware on what to do during and after earthquake.

    Before the siren, the teachers oriented the pupils on what to do during
    a disastrous earthquake occurs. Teachers demonstrated the Duck, Cover and Hold
    technique so that the pupils know what to do as they hear the siren.

    As the clock strikes at 9:00 a.m., ringing sound was heard in the whole campus as
    a signal for the start of the earthquake drill.

    Simultaneously, all the pupils with their teachers perform the Duck, Cover and
    Hold technique inside their respective classrooms, and then they moved to the safer
    place/evacuation area and vacated their classrooms in less than one minute.

    As they reached the designated evacuation area, the teachers conducted the
    headcount to check if there were no pupils left inside the classroom.

    The teachers/firemen gave pointers on what to do before, during and after the
    occurrence of such calamity.

    The earthquake drill conducted was successful.
