o This included assisting students with class projects, explaining class and
assignment guidelines, and boosting student morale by explaining how to
succeed in the class

they had via text/email

2015- Assistant Fencing Coach for the Somerset Hills Fencing Club
- Assisted my High School coach (head coach of the club) train beginner epee fencers
ages 10-14
o This included teaching the fencers the basic rules of fencing and
developing drills for the fencers
o Demonstrating certain actions and instructing the fencers in group drills
as well as one-on-one drills
o Providing positive and constructive feedback for each fencer
o Going to all the meets and coaching the fencers throughout each meet

- Visited a low income community in Weirwood, Virginia
o I helped lead a summer camp there for children ages 3-14. This included creating
activities for the kids, planning lessons for classes, assisting with arts and crafts,
watching kids who could not participate in activities and made sure the kids with
health issues were taken care of.
2015-2016- Volunteered at the Campus School at Boston College
- Assisted the teachers and occupational therapist in interacting with severely disabled
students, as well as calming them when they became overwhelmed.
o This involved using certain tools, such as manipulatives and vibrators, in order to
help students feel comfortable and maintain their focus in the class.
