CCIM (GENERAL) REGULATIONS, In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (m) to clause (o) of Section 36 of the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970
1976 (48 of 1970), the Central Council of Indian Medicine, with the previous sanction of the Central Government, hereby makes the

(a) In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires, 'Act' means the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970 (48

COLLEGES AND ATTACHED (c) 'Central Register of Indian Medicine' means the register maintained by the Central Council under section 25 of the Act ;

MINIMUM STANDARD (d) 'President' means the President of the Central Council elected under sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Act;

3. Maintenance and pablication of Central Register of Indian Medicine
MINIMUM STANDARD

COLLEGES AND ATTACHED (1) The Registrar shall maintain Central Register of Indian Medicine arranged in three parts, namely Ayurveda, Siddha and
HOSPITALS) REGULATIONS, Unani Systems in an alphabetical order statewise and it shall bear the seal of the Central Council.

REGULATION FOR EXISTING (2) The Central Register of Indian Medicine shall also bear a preface which shall contain a covering page with the seal of the
COLLEGES Central Council, names of the State Boards with whose registers the Central Register of Indian Medicine has been compiled,
abbreviations of qualifications shown in the Register up-to-date list of recognised qualifications as specified in the
Schedules to the Act, important sections pertaining to registration of practitioners of Indian Medicine and also names of the
President, the Vice-President and the Members (Constituency wise) and the Registrar of the Central Council.

4. Supply of information by State Boards

(1) All the State Boards shall intimate to the Central Council the lists of registered medical practitioners as entered in their
State Registers of Indian Medicine, who possess any the recognised medical qualifications specified in the Second, Third or
Fourth Schedules to the Act, in the first instance and thereafter all the new enteries made during every Calendar year. The
State Boards shall also intimate to the Central Council immediately any change in name or registration of additional
qualifications or change in address or removal of any name (as required by clause (1) of section 27 of the Act) of a
practitioner of Indian Medicine registered with the respective State Board as and when received.

(2) After the publication of the first Central Register of Indian Medicine, supplements to the Central Register of Indian
Medicine shall be published in the Gazette of India every year and the Central Register of Indian Medicine shall as far as
possible be .revised and published every five years.

5. Application for direct registration with the Central Council

(1) Every application for direct registration, with the Central Council under Section 25 of the Act shall be made in Form 'A' in
duplicate, annexed to these regulations.

(2) A fee of Rs. 50 shall be charged as registration fee for every such application.
(3) The following documents duly attested shall be sent alongwith the application, namely :-

(a) Degree or diploma or certificate from the Head of the Institution in original with one attested copy.
(b) Certificate of post examination practical training, if any.
(c) Attested copy of matriculation or any other certificate as proof of age.
(4) A certificate in Form 'B' annexed to these regulations shall be issued by the Registrar under his seal to all persons who
are.directly registered with the Central Council.
(5) Application for registration of additional qualification in the Central Register of Indian Medicine shall be made direct to
the Central Council in the Form 'C' annexed to these regulations.

6. *Appeal for restoration of name in State Register

Any person whose name has been removed from a State Register on any ground other than that he is not possessed of the
requisite medical qualification or where any application by the said persons for restoration of his name to the State Register
of Indian Medicine has been rejected, may file an appeal to the Central Government under sub-section (2) of section 27 of the
Act, in Form 'D' and every such appeal so filed shall be accompained by a fee of rupees twenty five by a Bank Draft in favour of
Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi.
