provisionally prom'oted as Assistant Professor as per the G.0 read as first paper above

and posted at Government Engineering College.ldukki.Later 3 professors were

reverted as Associate Professors and consequently the petitioner and three other
Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and the

petitioner is the seniormost lecturer to be promoted as Assistant Professor. Hence she.

filed this WP t o get promotion to the post of Assistant Professor.

Government have examined the matter based on Special rules and AlCTE

norms and the report of Director of Technical Education. As per the existing special

rules and AlCTE norms ,Ph.D is necessary to be promoted as Assistant Professor(now

Associate Pi-ofessor).The petitioner is not h;;\/ing Ph.D degree-Hence neither the rclle

position nor the case law permits to promote the petitioner as Assistant Professor(now

Associate Professor).

In the cik5cumstances mentioned above,the request of smt.Manju.B,Lecturer
