Infinitive Phrase.

Alba: Hi Dennis!

Dennis: Hi Alba! How are you?

Alba: Im really exciting about the party.

Dennis: Oh thats amazing. You know what? To dance is thrilling for me. (infinitive phrase acting as subject)

Alba: Really? What are you going to do tomorrow?

Dennis: Im going to go to the library. To read is incredible for me. (infinitive acting as subject)

Alba: Thats cool and what about your girlfriend?

Dennis: shes driving me crazy! I dont understand my life my girl wants to sing. (infinitive phrase acting as direct object)

and my dog needs to take a walk. (infinitive phrase acting as direct object)

Alba: Im so sorry, your life is complicated

Dennis: Im confused, my girlfriends goal in life, to become a dancer. Im really upset. (infinitive phrase acting as appositive)

Alba: But I know that. Her great aspiration was to be a dancer. (infinitive phrase acting as predicate nominative)

Dennis: what do you think? Thats right?

Alba: Thats okay.

Dennis: Im really confused Alba because I dont love her!

Alba: What? Are you crazy? Do you love another girl?

Alba: I cant understand your life.

Alba: Im so sorry! I should go home because my husband is waiting for me.

Dennis: Can you run, pretty, quickly in those high heels? (prepositional phrase acting as adverb modifying the verb run)

Alba: Obviously Dennis!

Dennis: Wait Alba! Do you know where the park is?

Alba: The park is next to the hospital Rosales

Dennis: I should arrive before noon! (prepositional phrase acting as adverb modifying the verb)

Gerund Phrase

subject)

Alba: No, I didnt know that but for me thats interesting.

Dennis: Yeah I know! Listening to the music in the morning will give you good feelings for your day is also a good fact to
know. (gerund phrase as subject)

Alba: Wow, have you done your homework right?

Dennis: No, is because Im bored.

Alba: I think you really enjoy sharing facts to people. (gerund phrase acting as direct object)
