Christ University, formerly Christ College
(Autonomous) affiliated to Bangalore
University, Established in July 1969. The Uni-
versity emphasises in creating a world class

College (No. F.13-1/2004) on October 7,2004.

Under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956,

Ministry of Human Resources Development
of the Union Government of India, vide
Notification No. F. 9-34/2007-U.3(A), had
declared Christ College as a Deemed to be
University on July 22,2008.

MCA/M.Sc(Computer Science)
Christ University offers MCA and M.Sc(Computer Science) programmes.
The University provides an excellent group of
experienced dedicated staff and experts within the
reach of enthusiastic youngsters. A combination of

development elevates the students to be inducted
into an industry with very little training.

GATEWAYS
It is a two day intercollegiate postgraduate Computer Science festival organized by
the department of Computer Science held in
September. With a view of imparting a sense of
competition and team spirit, Gateways has
occupied a special place in the calendar of
events at Christ University. It provided students
a platform to showcase their talent, enhance
their soft skills, develop team spirit , effective
organizational and management skills, thus
paving the path for their overall development.

REVELATIONS
An inter-class fest for both MCA and M.Sc(Computer
Science) students is conducted in February which provided
the means for effective peer to peer interaction, enhancement
of organizational skills and induction of team spirit.

INFOBAHN
The bi-annual magazine is released during Gateways
and Revelations. The magazine helps the students to have hands
on experience in areas of editorial and publications. It is
composed, compiled and edited by the students. It focuses on the
latest trends in IT industry, memoirs by alumni, literacy
contribution from the student community and faculty. At present,
Infobahn is circulated to more than 600 software establishments
and educational institutions all over South India.

EMERGING TRENDS IN INFORMATION
TECHNOLOGY(EIT)-2010
To promote a research culture in students
and faculty members a national level conference
was organized (EIT-10) during March 2010.The aim
of the conference was to encourage the students
to learn on the various developments that are
happening in the IT field. More than 20 research
papers were presented and deliberated during
the conference. Selected research papers were
published as conference proceedings.

INDIA GATEWAY PROGRAM

Christ University in collaboration with
Wurzburg University conducted the India
Gateway Program. It was a 3 months long
collaborative distributed project
development which involved inter-cultural
interaction. A team of 2 Christites and 2-3
German students were combined to create a
'warrior' using Red Code. The event
culminated on 26th February 2010 with the
arrival of German delegacy.
