People in India and in some South American countries celebrate/ are celebrating/ have been
celebrating Friendship day for many years. The idea of a special day for friends is/ was/ has been
around since the beginning of the 20th century. The owner of a greeting cards company thought/ had
thought / thinks of the idea in 1919 and set it on the first Sunday in August. The idea was not as/ less/
least successful as the company wanted it to be. In fact, they werent able to/ shouldnt/ cant interest
people in buying cards for friends. But the idea didnt /hasnt/ doesnt disappear. In India, Friendship
day is still on the first Sunday in August. Another Friendship day began many years later. In 1958, a man
in Paraguay has/had/ was having dinner with some friends when they had the idea of creating World
Friendship day on 30th July. For/from/since then, this day has become very popular with people in
Paraguay, Uruguay and Argentina. In the future, friends in another countries should/must/may start
celebrating this holiday too. I think if/unless/when the holiday came to Europe, my friends and I will
enjoy/would enjoy/had enjoyed it. What do you think?
For many years, tourists are visiting/ visits/ have been visiting Alnwick Castle in England, but since
2001, it has become/ became/ becomes even more popular. This is because film makers uses/ were
using/ used the castle in Harry Potter film. This is just one example of film tourist. One of the newer/
new enough/ newest film tourist destination is Stockholm, Sweden, because of The girl with the Dragon
Tattoo. Every year, more than 10.000 people took/have taken/ take a tour of the film locations. And,
while a film company will be making/ was making/ made American versions of the Sweden films,
tourist officials were already planning for more tourists. Fans of James Bond films, Sherlock Holmes or
Notting Hill, are finding/ will find/ found tours of the locations in London. Sometimes, film tours take
people to places that hasnt/didnt/wasnt use to be popular with tourists. For example, after film
makers were filming/had filmed/ have filmed scenes of the Dark Knight Rises in Pittsburgh, USA, a tour
company started a special bus tour of the film locations. So, are you a film fan? Will you be/ Are you/
were you taking a film tour of you favourite film?
