and General Information
Prosserman JCC
The Prosserman JCC is home to social, educational, cultural, health and
wellness programs rooted in Jewish values and innovative collaborations.
We are an inclusive community that supports the growth of all persons in
spirit, mind and body. We are dedicated to enriching the quality of life for
individuals, for families, for our neighbourhoods and for our city.
Hours of Operation
It has now been one year since the Prosserman Jewish Community Centre commenced operations. During that relatively
brief period, we have seen a number of wonderful achievements of which we can all take great pride in. These include:
°° Moving into and occupying facilities in the beautiful Donald Gales Family Pavilion located on the Sherman Campus,
just behind the site of the former Bathurst Jewish Community Centre. These new facilities offer a glimpse into the
future developments of the JCC.
°° Opening of the Goldie Fitness Centre, home to a state-of-the-art-equipment, friendly and professional staff and
over 50 weekly group exercise programs.
°° A bright and cheerful new space in the David and Esther Freiman Childhood Education Centre, home to a growing
family program, where our preschool and daycare children flourish.
°° The launch of JCC Chai Sports where Jewish athletes of all levels are building community, one game at a time
°° Our new Kosher culinary studio, the first such studio in Canada, where old world cooking and new world chefs
combine their talents for fantastic gourmet experiences.
We look forward to building on the successes of our first year. Of paramount importance is the raising of the public
profile and creating greater community awareness of the Prosserman Jewish Community Centre. A review of existing
programming and subsequent modifications is already underway, and it is our intent to add new and exciting additional
programs.
Your Board is dedicated to fulfilling the Prosserman Family dream of making this JCC a place where
Jewish life and culture is enhanced.
