Content Standard : 1.1

Learning Standard:
1.1.1 Able to speak with correct word stress

1.1.2 Able to listen to and recite poems, tongue twisters and sing songs paying attention
to pronunciation, rhythm and intonation.

Objective:
1. (M) By the end of this lesson, pupils will be able to pronounce words and speak
confidently with the correct stress, rhythm and intonation.
2. (L) By the end of this lesson, pupils will be able to pronounce words and speak
confidently with the correct stress, rhythm and intonation with teacher guidance.
Activities:
1. Teacher plays a CD on the chant and asks the pupils to listen attentively.
2. Teacher shows of the jazz chant lyric texts through the LCD screen.
3. Teacher recites the chant again and pupils follow as a whole then followed in groups.
4. (M) Teacher asks the pupils to recite the texts at the screen.
(L) Teacher asks the LINUS pupils to recite the words bold with colour on the
screen.
5. Teacher explain the story of the Prince Fariz with using some colourful pictures.
6. Pupils answer some simple question.
(M) 1.Why the Prince Fariz look so sad?
2. Who enter into the castle?
(L) 1. What is the prince name?
2. How to pronounce the sound for alphabet F, A, R, I & Z ?

7. Teacher revises on what the pupils had learnt today.
