1. Your book discusses 3 types of research methods: Descriptive, Correlational, and Experimental. Define the
goal of each type of method.

a. Goal: The goal of description is to observe what others are doing and to record and describe
our observations, and to draw conclusions of why they do what they do.

a. Goal: The goal of Correlation is to find how two traits correlate with each other, to see
whether they are close to each other or not.
3.
a. Goal: To Manipulate factors to experiment and get more conclusive results.

2. What 3 things are required for study to be an Experimental design (label and briefly define)?
1. Independent and dependent variables to change and keep factor the same
2. Experimental groups to receive the independent variable
3. Control groups to be a baseline for the experiment.

The Memory Pill Study
