ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

As of August, 2017

Sogbohan Agri-Training Institute (SATI), Inc. isa private institution owned by the TIU family
which is particularly situated at Sogbohan Islet, Bagumbayan, Dinagat, DinagatIslands.The said institute
has been operating since year 2015.

It served as venues of different agriculture related trainings and activities. Just recently, it
catered two (2) batches of trainings on Cashew Production and Processing. The said trainings were
participated by the cashew growers, women and members of the Bagumbayan Farmers Association.

The institute wishes to extend its services not only to its nearby barangays but also to its
neighbouring municipalities. Thus, the Board of Directors had initiated to source out funds to expand its
priority programs and projects.

It was an answered prayer and indeed of a great help when a grant was received by Mr.
Wilfredo C. Tiu, MASHAV Alumni fromIsraels Agency for International Foreign Affairs on February 17,
2017with the amount of Php 497,850.00.

From the day when the said grant was received the following developments/activities are
apparently evident:

MONTH ACTIVITIES

January 2017 -Searching for trusted suppliers of Green House materials

packaged with the installation of the structure at the specified site.
-Preparation and clearing of the area selected for the Green House
February 2017 -Received the development grant from MASHAV Israels Agency for
International Foreign Affairs on February 17, 2017 with the amount
of Php 497,850.00.

With drip irrigation system which includes 1 pc empty plastic drum
(200L capacity) fabricated with 1.5m high stand made of 1.5 X

Micro Sprinkler System which includes HP electric driven water
pump, fittings and accessories.

Preparation and processing of Vermi composts. (6 blocks)
Top soil pulverizing and mixing of chicken dung and rice hulls.
Lay-outing and fixing of three (3) plots inside the Green House
-1st Plot is composed of twenty-six (26) sacks of pulverized top soil;
thirteen (13) sacks of rice hulls; and thirteen (13) sacks of chicken
dung.
-2nd Plot is composed of twenty-four (24) sacks of chicken dung;
twelve (12) sacks of rice hulls and twelve (12) sacks of pulverized
top soil.
-3rd Plot is composed of twenty-six (26) sacks of chicken dung;
thirteen (13) sacks of rice hulls; and thirteen (13) sacks of
pulverized top soil.
May 2017 Seedling of five (5) varieties of cashew nuts, namely: Fernandez,
Mitra, Recto, Gonzalez and Kaliway which were came from
Palawan
SATI, Inc. was visited by a group of thirty (30) On-the-Job Trainees
from ASSCAT accompanied by Dir. Roberto Poculan, Jr., ATI -
Regional Director; Mrs.Rubelyn Parreas, Dinagat Municipal
Agriculturist.
Visit of the Harbest Agribusiness Corporation Technician, Mr.
Nicholas Grezola. He also conducted an orientation on the general
maintenance of the Green House structure and accessories. He
also discussed on the proper procedure on the processing of
Effective Microorganism (EM1) and on how to apply it.
Seedling of two (2) varities of Pechay, namely: Monteverde and
Pavito.

Apply EMAS to the three (3) plots inside the Green House
For the second time SATI, Inc. hosted the Training on Cashew
Processing in partnership with DTI-PDI and PHILMECH.

-Cashew wine and vinegar (apple)

Visit of personnel from Regional Agri-Tourism accompanied by a
staff from the Provl Tourism Office and a staff from the Dinagat
Municipal Tourism Office.
Transplanting of the three (3) varieties of Pechay.

Partial Harvest of the matured Pechay plants from Plots 1 and 2.

Seedling of Hot Peppers

-Total harvest of the organic pechay (87kg) and distribution to few

of the barangayanons of Bagumbayan, Dinagat, Dinagat Islands.
-Installation of three (3) units of pig pens.
August 2017 -Shredding of bio-degradable wastes.
-Construction of one (1) unit of poultry house
-Acquisition of one (1) carabao and three(3) rabbits.
