As a universal primer suitable for use in almost type of floor (concrete, wood, plaster, etc) and is
overcoatable with a wide range of high performance topcoat systems. For use at both new
construction and maintenance.

Surface preparation
All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from contamination. The surface should be assessed

Abrasive Blast Cleaning

AlphaFloor100 is only used on non metal surface.

Hand or Power Tool Preparation

Hand or power tool clean. Note, all scale must be removed and areas which cannot be prepared
adequately by chipping or or powertooling, the surface should be lightly sand blasted.

Tie Coat Appications

N/A

Other surfaces
The coating may be used on other substrates. Please contact your Alphapaint office for more
information.

Condition during application

The temperature of the substrate should be minimum 10C above the dew point of the air,
temperature and relative humidity measured in the vicinity of the substrate. Good ventilation is usually
required in confined areas to ensure correct drying.

Application data
Mixing : Material is supplied in two containers as a unit. Always mix a
complete unit in the proportions supplied. Once the unit has
been mixed it must be used within the working pot life specified.
(1) Agitate Base (Part A) with a power agitator.
(2) Combine entire contents of Curing Agent (Part B) with Base
(Part A) and mix thoroughly with power agitator.
Mixing ratio (volume) : 4 parts : 1 part by volume
Working Pot Life : 10C 15C 25C 40C
17 hours 12 hours 8 hours 3 hours
Thinner/Cleaner : AlphaThin100
Guiding data airless spray : Recommended - Tip range 0.38-0.53 mm (15-21 thou)
- Total output fluid pressure at spray tip not less than 141 kg/cm2
(2,500 p.s.i.)

Product Characteristics
Use as a Bridge Primer
Suitable for use as a bridge primer on non metal surface between the surface and the topcoat. The
main function is to adequately penetrate the surface to make sure excellent anchor coat.
When coating steel in high ambient temp thinning with HEP Thin may be necessary to prevent dry
spray and control film thickness.

This product will not cure adequately below 5C. For max performance ambient curing temp should be
above 10C.

Use as a Tie Coat

Note : VOC values quoted are based on max possible for the product taking into account variations
due to colour defferences and normal manufacturing tolerances.

Drying time
Drying times are generally related to air circulation, temperature, film thickness and number of coats,
and will be affected correspondingly. The figures given in the table are typical with:
* Good ventilation (Outdoor exposure or free circulation of air)
* Typical film thickness
* One coat on top of inert substrate

Substrate temperature 10C 15C 25C 40C

1 The surface should be dry and free from any contamination prior to application of the subsequent coat.
The given data must be considered as guidelines only. The actual drying time/times before recoating may be shorter or longer,
depending on film thickness, ventilation, humidity, underlying paint system, requirement for early handling and mechanical strength
etc. A complete system can be described on a system sheet, where all parameters and special conditions could be included

Storage
Shelf Life
12 months minimum at 25C (77F). Subject to re-inspection thereafter. Store in dry, shaded
conditions away from sources of heat and ignition.
