PROVIDING CONTRACT LABOR AT SURFACE MINES & UNDERGROUND MINES
Comprehensive Mine Safety Program intent to create and maintain a safe as possible

work environment for the miner. The rate of and probability of accidents can be greatly reduced

by intense training programs. These articles contain 9 components with each component has its

own description. All components provide how to work in safe and face accidents.

Both articles are serving different ways of safe as possible work environment as it

addressed for surface and underground mines. As we can see, the article for underground mines

seems to be more complicated than the surface one, consider that working at underground mine

is a little bit more dangerous. There is 34 company safety policy in underground mine while

surface has only 22 policy. But at the surface mines article we can find some safety rules for

surface equipment operator. Underground mine has 11 items for protect gear and equipment

while for surface mine it doesnt really determined.

Both methods share same steps of safety training. The article for underground mines have

listed emergency preparedness training, contains 7 types of training complete with the schedules.

Surface mines have 2 steps for mine emergency plan and underground mines have 3. Both mine

methods has same ways to face accidents like investigation, analyze, and follow-up the accident.

For evaluation procedures, underground miner just need an employee review. But, surface mines

have it more complicated such as initial operation evaluation, employee review of program,

annual review and evaluation.
