English for Hotel Staff
Introduction
This program is designed to equip learners with the knowledge and the ability to
interact
with guests in the English language confidently.

Course Duration, Frequency & Class Duration


This course runs for 60 hours. The recommended frequency is twice a week. The
recommended class duration is two hours.

Course Structure
The course is divided into five segments:
Situational Conversations - 36 hours
Vocabulary Building - 4 hours
Grammar Component - 10 hours
Listening Skills - 6 hours
Pronunciation Skills - 4 hours

Course Fee and Payment


The course fee is RM 15,000.00. Payment should me made in favour of CHARIS
SEMINARS.

HRDF Claim
Investment in this course can be claimed from the HRDF under the SBL scheme.

Certificates
Participants who have completed the course will be given Certificates of
Completion.
Certificates can be jointly awarded by Charis Seminars and the client.

Stage 1 - Pre-Course Assessment

Trainers Profile
Background
Joseph has been an English language tutor since 1995. He holds an Advanced Diploma
in Journalism (Communications), Diploma in TESOL and a Cambridge International
Diploma in Teaching & Training. He hails from Kuala Lumpur and currently resides in
Butterworth.

Teaching & Training


Joseph began his career as an English language tutor with Matrix Communications
and ran his first training program for Korean expatriates. From then on, he has
conducted language programs for numerous companies and individuals, specializing
in Communicative English and Business English.

For a short period, Joseph served as a lecturer in CES Education Group, where he was
also assigned to train new teachers and conduct teaching observations. He was also
a member of the CES Academic Association, a unit formed to equip teachers with
English language teaching skills. He was also appointed to the CES Regional
Examinations Board.

Joseph specializes in Communication Skills, English for Working Adults, English for
Hotels, English for Patient Care Personnel, Business English and Business Writing.
