Sikagard -700 WT
Siloxane impregnation for concrete and masonry substrates

Description Sikagard -700 WT is a 1-pack solvent free aqueous emulsion of a
modified polymethyl siloxane. It is developed for the water-repellent
impregnation of facades. This product is effective on both alkaline and
neutral substrate.

Uses Fields of application according to ZTV-SIB 90-OS-A and OS-B. Impregna

tion for mineral substrates such as concrete and plaster surfaces, natural
stone, aerated concrete, brickwork and blockwork, asbestos cement,
mineral paint coats etc, egianst driving rain and dampness .

Please note : Where the masonry substrates are containing salts

(efflorescene) the Aquastop cannot penetrate enough into the pores of the
substrate, thus leading to further efflorescence even after hydrophobing.

Sikagard -700 WT is mainly used to protect facades and exposed
concrete or cementitious mortar surfaces of roads, bridges, pavements etc.
against water ingress and the risk of damage caused by water born polutants.

Sikagard -700 WT is also used as a hydrophobing primer underneath
protective coatings. For more information please contact our technical service

Condition of substrate Free of dust, soot and dirt, lime efflorescence, salt and paint remnants
etc.must be removed, if necessary with suitable detergents or by light
sand blasting or steam cleaning.
