TRAINING THE
PEOPLES ARMY
Training in direct activism and community organisation. Techniques
for media stunts, guerilla campaigning and peaceful rebellion.
Examples: Residents suffering mould? Organise a bake sale, invite
local press and councillors, unveil mouldy cakes! Or organise
people to pay bills and rates in pennies, causing disruption until the
problem is fixed, etc.

RESOURCES FOR
BRANCHES
For Everyone: Free website hosting and online leaflet template and
checking system.

For well-performing branches: Leaflets given in direct proportion

to number of new signups. Canvassing software Apps. Online
and video support, social media advertising, and visits by the
leadership for the 2018 Road Trip. Competition for which council
candidates get most pledges and most media. Leadership and team
team showcase that prospective councillor as example to others
nationwide.

LOCALISM

Taking inspiration from Flatpack Democracy concept in Frome.

Maintaining non-whipped system for councillors and candidates.
Establishing a system of collating data from canvassing and case-
work to develop policy. A promise to always uphold the majority
view of local residents and review it regularly using the new system.
Campaigning on issues based on that data collected in 2018
campaign.

LEADERSHIP ROAD
TRIP
Unlike this year, the leadership will not ignore our hardworking
councillors and candidates. We will have a road-trip, with UKIP Media
(our in-house media team), raising the profile nationally of the
hardest working teams.
