Amendment of Article 172 of the Constitution.

In the Constitution, in Article 172,-
(i) in clause (2), for the word "within" occurring for the second time the word "beyond" shall be
substituted; and
(ii) after clause (2) amended as aforesaid, the following new clause shall be inserted, namely:-
(3) Subject to the existing commitments and obligations, mineral oil and natural gas within
the Province or the territorial waters adjacent thereto shall vest jointly and equally in that
Province and the Federal Government.
