Operating Instructions
Notes: The diagrammatic representation is only for you to help understand, but it maybe
some different for some detailed parts, according to the difference of specification and type
of the gearbox.
Product description:
PV series gear units adopt modular design, and they rotate so stably and
reliably; easy for installation, the inside rotates parts adopt high quality alloy
steel, and trough the carbonization, quenching, and high precision grinding
craft. So they are the newest hard gear surface gearboxes.
Product type:
PV series gearbox including two rotating types:
P series parallel shaft rotates cylinder gearbox, including single, double, three,
and four steps rotates product, and the ratio can reach 450, series
specification.
V series bevel shaft rotates conic cylinder gearbox, including double,
three, and four steps rotates product, and the ratio can reach 400,
series specification.
Using scope:
Input speed cant be higher than 1500 rpm
The working ambient temperature is -40~45, it is working at the lower
ambient temperature, if it is necessary, we have to warm-up for the
lubrication before starting (According to the using situation), or choose the
lower temperature lubrication, feel free to call us.
It can rotate in both positive and negative way (Except for the gearbox
installation with holdback)
Every gear unit has the product brand identifier, and record the type and capability,
etc. of the product, so for the easier maintenance, please dont back out by
yourself.
The installation and connection of the gear units
The basic installation of the gear units must be stable, reliable, and steady; but
The connection of the gear units, drive machine, and working machine should
be top-priority for the error to compensate the mode of connection; the input
shaft axes line and output shaft axes line of the gear units, should guarantee the
coaxiality angle, and at the same time we should check the axial warp and angle
displacement, and the error should not be more than the allowable number of
input shaft end of the gear units, it may bring much larger annexation stress to
the input shaft of the gear units, then result in the situation of breaking the shaft,
so before the usage please check the additional endurance of the shaft according

Oil bathing lubrication The oil level must be enough high, in order to make the
meshing parts and bearing can immerge the lubrication oil, and need collocate the
compensatory oil box

Under the circumstance of the using power meeting the catalogue power, when the
horizontal version of the gear units is used, commonly adopt the oil bathing splashing
lubrication mode. When using, the lubrication oil level of the gear units add to the middle
of the oil level indicator can be ok.
Under the circumstance of the using power exceeding the catalogue power, when the
horizontal version of the gear units is used, can adopt the forced circle oil lubrication or oil
bathing splashing lubrication mode, and add the cooling parts.
When the vertical version is used, should adopt forced circular oil lubrication mode or
compensative oil box; when the using power exceeds the catalogue power, must add and fix
the cooling parts.
Under any fixing condition when the V series gear units are used, should add about
1L lubrication additionally on the oil adding place over the connecting flange of the input
shaft end, at the first time of starting using and before the second using after long time
power off.
2. Amount of circular lube flow usually wouldnt more than 0.5L/kW as forced circular
lubrication as lubricant means. Or account out as heat balance, bounding strong, PAY
ATTENTION TO oil lever would be keep on the lines of indicator of gearbox. except
equipping with lubrication station (Please note for us specially)
3. Bearing and transmission parts of gearbox would apply to use the same lubrication as
usual.
4. If gearbox which is lubricated by forced circular lubrication drives again after breaking
above 24hours, please add oil first before driving.
Viscidity of Lubrication
Please chose viscidity of lubrication as environment or lubricated means by high speed
grade gear:

Not commend to use dry grease to add oil for gearbox, if inquire, please contact us.
3. Cooling parts: Including cooling coil and cooler, it can be composed circular system
with forced lubricated pipeline together. Pay attention to supply cooling water when
using cooling apart in the workshop. It is equipped as request.
8. Heating element: to be used pre-heating before driving under the low temperature,
equipped with electrothermal pipe. It is equipped as request.
11. Cooling fan: Gearbox can be equipped with cooling fan to improve capacity of heat
dissipation. It is equipped as request.
3. First turn by hand before trial of run, if it is agile, no block, and then no-load trial
progress can be allowed. Forbid work without oil. NO-load trial time must be not less
than 2 hours, it should be no stationary,no librating voice and no oil leakage. Please
eliminate failure ASAP if have.
Stop running
1. Cut electrical source of driven machine and insure it wont be putted through by
accidence
2. If gearbox is stopped use long term above 6 month, inner and external must be
applied to antirust measure: fill in full inner and use waxy antirust coating do
antirust process for shaft end and surface without painting. And use lubrication to
paint on the sealing lip to prevent antirust oil filter in.
Maintenance
After running 500-800 hours to exam the first change of the lubrication
