Operating Instructions

Thank you for purchase reducer of Helical bevel PV series.Please read Operating
Instructions carefully for the sake of proper assembly, use and maintance.
SAFETY INSTRUCTION
During running progress or after, for gearbox, motor and electrical parts and high
temperature surface ,only allow professional to do work such as transport,
warehouse, amount, installation, running and maintance. Please must pay
attention to:
a. Relevant manual and circuit diagram
b. Worm and safe sign
c. All request and special provision
d. Regular provision for safety& prevent from accident from country/local
government/special field
Launch into running
Please check if turning is right without connection (note singular frictional noise in
the progress of turning), if transmission parts hadnt be connected on trial. Please
pay attention to if keyway is fix, note insure exam and protector even if for trail
running.
IF there are notice, temperature is rising, libration and other deviant running state.
Should turn off motor, clear the reason. If it is need, please contact us
Waste disposal
GUOMAO had approved by Chinese environmental management system, its our
to remind of user as follow:
a. Housing parts, gear, shaft and rolling bearing of gearbox should be treated as
iron waste .As long as not special collect measure, this rule also apply to parts
which are made by grey cast iron
b. Please collect waste oil as instruction

Notes: The diagrammatic representation is only for you to help understand, but it maybe
some different for some detailed parts, according to the difference of specification and type
of the gearbox.

Product description:
PV series gear units adopt modular design, and they rotate so stably and
reliably; easy for installation, the inside rotates parts adopt high quality alloy
steel, and trough the carbonization, quenching, and high precision grinding
craft. So they are the newest hard gear surface gearboxes.

Product type:
PV series gearbox including two rotating types:
P series parallel shaft rotates cylinder gearbox, including single, double, three,
and four steps rotates product, and the ratio can reach 450, series
specification.
V series bevel shaft rotates conic cylinder gearbox, including double,
three, and four steps rotates product, and the ratio can reach 400,
series specification.

Using scope:
Input speed cant be higher than 1500 rpm
The working ambient temperature is -40~45, it is working at the lower
ambient temperature, if it is necessary, we have to warm-up for the
lubrication before starting (According to the using situation), or choose the
lower temperature lubrication, feel free to call us.
It can rotate in both positive and negative way (Except for the gearbox
installation with holdback)

Gear units type specification:

Product brand identifier

Every gear unit has the product brand identifier, and record the type and capability,

etc. of the product, so for the easier maintenance, please dont back out by

yourself.
The installation and connection of the gear units

 The basic installation of the gear units must be stable, reliable, and steady; but

the installation of the special situation should be thought carefully.

 The connection of the gear units, drive machine, and working machine should

be top-priority for the error to compensate the mode of connection; the input

shaft axes line and output shaft axes line of the gear units, should guarantee the

coaxiality angle, and at the same time we should check the axial warp and angle

displacement, and the error should not be more than the allowable number of

the using coupling.

 When adopting the hydraulic coupling to connect, just because high

requirements of the installation, when the hydraulic coupling is installed to the

input shaft end of the gear units, it may bring much larger annexation stress to

the input shaft of the gear units, then result in the situation of breaking the shaft,

so before the usage please check the additional endurance of the shaft according

to this product catalogue. Because the dimension of the input shaft is smaller

than the drive machines, so recommending you to install the hydraulic

coupling to the shaft end of the drive machine.

 When the gear units use belt rolling, gear, sprocket wheel, and so of the input
and output to rotate the drive, we should check the additional endurance of the

gear units according to the catalogue of the using product.

 Without special instruction, the end of the gear units is not allowed to load

exceeds the allowable radial load 50% of the axial excess load.

Notes:

 When we do the installation work for all the couplings, we should cut the power of
the motor and take measure to avoid renew switching on by suddenness.

 Such as the coupling, small gear, and so on parts, they are not allowed to use the
hammer for the way of knocking to put on the end of the shaft.

 We should notice the right tension of the strap when installing the belt rolling.
 The input and output parts (Such as the coupling and so on) should have the
touching protection cover board.

 Must clean off the antirust, pollution, or some similar dirty things when connect
the shaft end and the flange surface, can use the resolvent to clean, but cant allow
the resolvent to go into the sealed lip of the shaft end sealed parts; otherwise it will
damage the sealed material.

The lubrication and cooling of the gear units

The mode of lubrication:


 Splash lubrication The oil level is laigh and it through the splashed machine oil of the
rotate of the transmitted parts, to lubricate for the meshing parts and bearing.

 Oil bathing lubrication The oil level must be enough high, in order to make the
meshing parts and bearing can immerge the lubrication oil, and need collocate the
compensatory oil box

 Forced circulate oil lubricationCollocate the lubricative pump and pipeline, filtration

boostingcalefactioncooling, and so on of the parts (Collocate according to the


needing)

The installation use of the horizontal version gear units:

Under the circumstance of the using power meeting the catalogue power, when the
horizontal version of the gear units is used, commonly adopt the oil bathing splashing
lubrication mode. When using, the lubrication oil level of the gear units add to the middle
of the oil level indicator can be ok.

 Under the circumstance of the using power exceeding the catalogue power, when the
horizontal version of the gear units is used, can adopt the forced circle oil lubrication or oil
bathing splashing lubrication mode, and add the cooling parts.



     
 
  

 When the vertical version is used, should adopt forced circular oil lubrication mode or
compensative oil box; when the using power exceeds the catalogue power, must add and fix
the cooling parts.

  Under any fixing condition when the V series gear units are used, should add about
1L lubrication additionally on the oil adding place over the connecting flange of the input
shaft end, at the first time of starting using and before the second using after long time
power off.



Amount of lube flow


1. Fill in as oil lever indicator when using oil bath &splash lubricant means

2. Amount of circular lube flow usually wouldnt more than 0.5L/kW as forced circular
lubrication as lubricant means. Or account out as heat balance, bounding strong, PAY
ATTENTION TO oil lever would be keep on the lines of indicator of gearbox. except
equipping with lubrication station (Please note for us specially)

3. Bearing and transmission parts of gearbox would apply to use the same lubrication as
usual.

4. If gearbox which is lubricated by forced circular lubrication drives again after breaking
above 24hours, please add oil first before driving.

Viscidity of Lubrication
Please chose viscidity of lubrication as environment or lubricated means by high speed
grade gear:

1. V2.5m/second or environmental temperature is 25 -30 .Plz chose CKC320


medium-load industrial closed gear oil or CKD320 heavy -load industrial closed gear
oil.
2. V>2.5m/second or apply to forced circular lubrication. Please choose CKC220
medium-load industrial closed gear oil or CKD220 heavy -load industrial closed gear
oil.

Lubrication
Not commend to use dry grease to add oil for gearbox, if inquire, please contact us.

Forced lubricated parts of gearbox


1. Lubricated pump: it can be drived by motor, coupling shaft and a lot of means. It is
equipped as request.
2. Adding oil directions filter: Including absorbing filter, pipeline with losing oil alarm.
It is equipped as request.

3. Cooling parts: Including cooling coil and cooler, it can be composed circular system
with forced lubricated pipeline together. Pay attention to supply cooling water when
using cooling apart in the workshop. It is equipped as request.

4. Supplying oil director: To be observe lubrication situation, can be collocated


adjustment set for amount of supplying lubrication. It is equipped as request.

5. Adjusted-oil pressure indicator, Adjusted-oil amount indicator: to be adjust pressure


of lubrication, fluent, pump. It is equipped as request.

6. Compensatory oil box: to be used for special situation. It is equipped as request.

7. Temperature element: thermocouple,resistance and so on, to be used to test


temperature of important parts

8. Heating element: to be used pre-heating before driving under the low temperature,
equipped with electrothermal pipe. It is equipped as request.

9. Pipe: It is equipped as request

10. Lubricated station: As be equipped with by customer, please specially note if


lubricated means is changed.

11. Cooling fan: Gearbox can be equipped with cooling fan to improve capacity of heat
dissipation. It is equipped as request.

Run for gearbox


1. Should fill in lubrication before trial run of gearbox and confirm if rolling shaft and
coupling all be equipped with protected cover.
2. Please note if drive direction is right for gearbox with holdback.

3. First turn by hand before trial of run, if it is agile, no block, and then no-load trial
progress can be allowed. Forbid work without oil. NO-load trial time must be not less
than 2 hours, it should be no stationary,no librating voice and no oil leakage. Please
eliminate failure ASAP if have.

4. Advice to try on running-in operation in the running progress of gearbox. Divide up


2-3 stage to high up load and peripheral speed step by step to max working
situation .This progress about need persist for 10 hours.

Stop running
1. Cut electrical source of driven machine and insure it wont be putted through by
accidence
2. If gearbox is stopped use long term above 6 month, inner and external must be
applied to antirust measure: fill in full inner and use waxy antirust coating do
antirust process for shaft end and surface without painting. And use lubrication to
paint on the sealing lip to prevent antirust oil filter in.

Maintenance

Time interval Examine and maintance

Normally running To exam temperature of gearbox:


It not be above 90 when using mineral oil
It not be above 100 when using compositive oil
To exam voice of gearbox if it is exceptional
To exam voice of gearbox if it is leak out

After running 500-800 hours to exam the first change of the lubrication
To exam if it asked to fill in lubrication by oil indictor

Every running 3000 hours to exam lubrication, it cannot be above 500ppm under
The time for half year moist environment, please exam
water content of oil
Cleaning breather cap
At least one time for one year Change mineral oil
(as useful situation) To exam if connected bolt become flexible
To exam infectant and lubrication-cooling sets
Clean lubricated fliter, please change filter element if
it is need

At least one time for three month Change compositive oil
