ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

We cannot express enough thanks to everyone on the 100,000 Strong for

Bringing Back Mega Man Legends 3 (aka Get Me Off The Moon) page who
helped to make this tribute a reality. Wed particularly like to thank Alex Messner,
who initially thought up this project; Anthony Foggiano of Avia Studios, who
acted as a superb adviser; Tabby Ramsey (www.digitallyfanged.com), who drew
the front and back covers of the book; and Ryan King, the person responsible for
converting the digital document into a physical book for Capcom. It was a pleasure
working with you folks, and we hope that well have the honor to cooperate with
you again!

Wed like to also thank everyone on the GMOTM planning team for giving
such great input during the making of this project. Without such terrific input, the
final version of this book would have been far lower in quality and greatly lacking
in originality.

Furthermore, wed like to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who

shared their letters, stories and artwork with us for this project. Without the support
of these folks, this book never would have even come about. It was a tremendous
honor for us to cooperate with such dedicated Legends fans for the duration of this
campaign. We were thoroughly impressed by the huge amount of passion we
noticed in the letters that were sent to us, and we daresay that other readers will be
as well!

Finally, a tremendous shout-out to Capcom Entertainment for bringing us

Mega Man Legends, a series that still inspires us to this day, twenty years later.
Without this series, our lives would be noticeably emptier and less bright. So,
thanks a ton, Capcom, for all the fun times! We hope you enjoy this book!
FOREWORD

A Letter from the Founder

Im the type of person who refuses to let injustice stand, but that wasnt always the case. For most of my
life, I had taken a mostly hands-off approach to the world, hoping that problems would somehow fix
themselves, that someone else would take the necessary action to call people in power out on their bad
decisions and make everything right. That all changed late at night on July 18, 2011 (at least in Florida).
When I saw that Mega Man Legends 3 was cancelled, I was beyond disappointed. I couldnt rest without
finally taking action. I took to a platform I understoodFacebookand was surprised when I started a
movement.

The first two Mega Man Legends games left too many unanswered questions, too many unresolved plot
points about this mysterious, wondrous flooded world. What would be the fate of the Carbons? How did
this world connect to the Mega Man games before it? It set itself up perfectly for a continuation,
especially with Mega Mans unfortunate plight of being trapped on Elysium. Unfortunately, he has
remained there. It seems rather cruel.

This is not about Keiji Inafune. Its not about Capcom. Its about those of us whom the Mega Man series
has inspired. I have played Mega Man games since I was five. I have been a fan of every variant I have
played, from the classic series to Battle Network. The thrill, challenge, and discoveries in each title still
entertain me each day. Mega Man gave me the confidence to face absurdly tough challenges head-on and
never give up.

The Legends 3 DevRoom was an experiment of how much interaction fans could have in the game
development experience. The excuse for cancellation was that not enough people were involved. While I
realize that sales of Mega Man Legends 1 and 2 on the PS1 were subpar, I must say that I never even
knew about the games until many years after their release. Ive heard the same from many others. The
Legends 3 Prototype was a well-publicized demonstration of the game that was supposed to gauge
interest and get more people involved, especially since it was meant to launch with the Nintendo eShop,
yet Capcom pulled the proverbial plug on it, ensuring that a potential new generation would never find
out about the Legends series. The recent PSN releases remained on top-selling charts for a long time, and
with a bit more love, this is a series that could thrive.

Since I created GetMeOffTheMoon, I have moved on to other accomplishments, like writing two books,
becoming a college professor, and even being elected to a political position. Yet the 100,000 Strong have
made such a huge impact on me. I may have handed the reins of the page to others while I work on other
monumental causes, but saving the Blue Bomber from an eternity of obscurity on the moon remains a
constant inspiration for me to make things right. The fans are waiting.

Sincerely,

Professor Monica P. DePaul, M.A.

PREFACE
To Capcom,

Every age is marked by a legend. A legend that has helped to give an identity to the people who
occupy the Earth. Wherever you go in the world, you're always bound to discover peculiar myths that
have made a significant impact on the citizens within a particular location. In one part of the world, you
may hear of a certain weapon kept in the local museum that was once used to slay a great beast that
threatened the land. In another part, you may hear of a certain lake that is the home of an ancient sea
monster. In still another part, someone might tell you about a certain area in the neighborhood that is
inhabited by ghosts. Or you may hear some crazy tale about a seemingly immortal old man who, on every
Christmas Eve, travels around the globe on a magic sleigh driven by flying reindeer to give presents to
children all around the world. And apparently, he prefers to deliver these presents by chimney, in the
middle of the night (because, you know, post offices are so old school).

While many of these legends undoubtedly come off as far-fetched to most people, one cannot
deny that they always contain something captivating; something that pulls you in and makes you want to
believe in them. It may be hard to describe exactly what that "something" is, or why you want to believe
in a tale that sounds so evidently fake, but even so, you find yourself attracted to these strange stories like
a magnet. Why? It doesn't matter "why." It only matters that you know you like them, and that you know
you want to place faith in them. After all, if you know something for sure, what need do you have of
explaining that thing to yourself?

Mega Man Legends inspired similar feelings in many of the people who picked it up for the first
time. From the moment you were introduced to that fascinating world of endless water, you "just liked" it.
It contained an atmosphere that simply sucked you in and left you wonder-struck. It was the fairytale that
you treasured from the early years of your childhood, it was the story that made you want to become a
hero growing up, and it was the portal that allowed you to live in a better, more exciting world. It was the
legend. You knew in the depths of your heart, even as a child, that none of those characters, none of those
places, none of those strange creatures in the game were real, but they left such an incredible impact on
you that, by the end of the day, you wanted to make them real. You wanted to believe in them, even
though you knew they were just the products of a certain developer's wild imagination.

Five years have passed since the crushing cancelation of Mega Man Legends 3 on July 19th,
2011. You, Capcom, have given us no reaso n to assume that the game will be coming back any time
soon. In spite of this, however, we continue to believe in our Legend. It may be a foolish hopea hope
that will never bear any fruitbut that doesn't matter to us. We want to believe in that Blue Boy who
captured our hearts so many years ago, and in the people who brought him into existence. Yes, Capcom,
we want to believe in you. Against all odds, we'd like to seriously think that you will make our dream
come true one day and revive Legends 3. This may easily turn out to be a fruitless hope, but even so, we
feel compelled to place our faith in you. Why? Because that Blue Boy, that hero that you created so long
ago, inspired that faith in us. By fighting against ancient, deadly technology, gigantic robots, and
fearsome sky pirates that surpassed him in size, number and physical strength ten times over, he taught us
to hope beyond all hope, and try our darnest to obtain victory even against overwhelming odds. This
series means a lot to us, Capcom, and thus, we will continue pulling for a sequel even when it may seem
hopeless to do so.

Included in this book are various letters that we have collected from our fanbase. They detail the
sentiments of all our members who wish to see Mega Man Legends 3 reinstated. We hope that these
letters will inspire you, Capcom, and serve as a testament to dedication of the Mega Man Legends
community. Personally, I know that I have been thoroughly impressed (and even humbled) by the
passion, the energy and the willpower contained in these messages. These are not letters from ordinary
fans, but hardcore fans. I daresay that they have just about as much enthusiasm for this series as the very
people who created it.

Anyway, we hope that you enjoy this collection of letters. It was quite a heartfelt project, and
we're very happy with how it turned out. Hopefully you will feel the same way.

Thank you very much for your time.

Dear Capcom, please bring me back my Mega Man. He was a huge part of the light during a rough time
in my life. My childhood hero is in your hands.

Thanks guys. Take care.

Dear 100k Strong,

Ever since playing Rockman DASH PART I: Adventurous Spirit of Steel on my Nintendo 64 emulator &
watching a Rockman DASH Abridged Series, the series kinda started to grow on me. Especially when
one of my friends on DeviantART used the Bonnes to interview other people on their opinions of movies
that were recently released. Characters from the future interviewing people in the now. Must be some
kind of time travel method...

After hearing about PART III being a 3DS title, I was hyped, though I'd wait for a price drop, since I don't
have a 3DS (If only there was a 3DS Emulator, *Disclaimer: please don't demonize me for using video
game emulators.*) in hand. When I heard that PART III got cancelled, it broke me deeply, but not to the
point when I'd want PART III to come back, especially when years later you brought us a PART III
Prologue. Thanks for adding Free Mission Select by the way, since I'd rather finish my Mega Man games
from the Rockman series to the DASH series in chronological order.

Seeing that you had hosted the 2 Campaigns, NoL & OLR, I don't have any physical/digital copies. Just
an emulator copy. So, I dove right in at the last hours as of Thursday, August 18, 2016 @ around 9:37 PM
Pacific Daylight Time, to finish up another Rockman DASH artwork. I was about to also send in my
previous artwork with a Rockman DASH x Wander Over Yonder crossover, since they shared a similar
fate, but hesitated, thinking I could only send out one entry mail & not spam with another entry. So here's
two of my artworks bundled in one to show how much the Rockman DASH series would mean to me, &
would love to see a PART III on store shelves.

Fight for Everlasting Peace, because Legends Never Die!

Sincerely,

Morphius.
Mega Man. I remember first hearing that name during various YouTube countdowns whenever I had
some time to spare. I didn't know much about the series, but I had some interest in it. It wasn't until I had
a 3DS and the day Super Smash Bros. for 3DS came out that I decided to get into the series. This lead me
to buy Mega Man 2 and Mega Man 3. I got hooked instantly. I then read the Archie Comics and the rest is
history. I tried to obtain all the Mega Man games I could possibly get my hands on. In short, I grew to
love this series and many people can agree with me.

This is where the Mega Man Legends series comes into play. I couldn't play it due to only having a DS
Lite, a 3DS, a Wii given to me by a good friend, and not wanting to emulate the games due to the
difficulty. In the meantime, I watched let's plays of each game, read articles on Mega Man Knowledge
Base, and went to the Mega Man Legends Station. The series pulled me in due to its charm, characters,
and world. When I finally was able to get a PS Vita, the first thing I bought was the first Mega Man
Legends. I completed the game and it became one of my favorite Mega Man games. Actually, it became
one of my favorite games in general, even if there were flaws like tanky controls that I quickly got use to.
I later bought the other games.

I'm not sure when I first heard about Mega Man Legends 3's cancellation, but I know I wasn't a Mega
Man fan. Speaking as an outsider, I would say that it was a stupid business decision but the whole reason
for its cancellation is still very vague. The game looked very fun, had interesting concepts, and lots of
potential to be a great game. This is just from judging gameplay videos and such. Now from a fan's
perspective, my heart shattered that the plug was pulled. The cliffhanger could have been resolved, more
information about old character would have been revealed, new characters would have captured the hearts
of fans, the world was finally going to be completely unfolded, and the game controls seemed like a
dream. Each of the new characters and mechanics were interesting and could of have been great. Barrett
himself caught my eye. Barrett's overall design, color scheme, given information about him, and his
mysterious aura gives off strong Proto Man vibes. It would nice to play as another character in a Legends
game. Mega Man Legends 3 could have brought in new fans and made a lot of money, but seems that it
wasn't meant to be.

Even though the past can't change, the future seems bright. Even though you haven't made a new Mega
Man game since 2010, you allowed other companies to use the Blue Bomber in comics, a new TV series,
and other games. You released the Legacy Collection containing Mega Man to Mega Man 6. You
released Mega Man 7 and the SNES Mega Man X games on the Eshop for the New 3DS. You released
several Mega Man games to the PlayStation Network, including the Legends series. Overall, you seem to
remember the robotic hero and know he still has a following. To be truthful, Mega Man is one of your
most well known IPs and is still considered your mascot by many. I believe you can finish the Mega Man
Legends 3 Project and release it to the public. It's time that one of my favorite incarnations of the Blue
Bomber, Rock Volnutt, gets off of Elysium. This phrase has been repeated many times, but legends never
die.

Sincerely,

Rose K. "Rock Trigger"

Dear Capcom,

I've been playing Megaman 64 for years. It is my favorite game of all time, beating out Ocarina of Time
and Metal Gear Solid 3. I played this game more than any other game in my younger days. The humor,
the action, the music. I just love it all!

This game reminds me so much of the time I spent with my father before his passing in 2012. For you
see, he was the one who bought the game for me. He also bought me my first Mega Man game ever
(Mega Man 6). He would sometimes watch me play and he even tried it himself. Eventually, he got me
Megaman Legends 2 and it was so much fun.

I've since managed to get the whole series because of the PSN release of Misadventures of Tron Bonne.
When it was on the PSN Store, I lost it because I was so happy.

I know Megaman Legends inside and out, secrets and glitches. That's how much I've played this.

Fun fact: Did you know you can get into the Clozer Ruins Sub-Gate early? On easy mode with the jet
skates, as soon as you can access the jump springs, use the jet skates in the top-right corner of the room
that connects to the Main Gate and the Cardon Forest Sub-Gate. You will go through the wall and you
can land above/inside the hallway leading to the Main Gate. From there, get the blunted drill and use the
walkie-talkie to call Roll. After she makes the Drill Arm for you, go through the back way to the Clozer
Ruins Sub-Gate. Once inside, there are no enemies. Try to open the door though. Not only will the door
not open, but the enemies will spawn and despawn, depending on how long you hold the button. You can
despawn them while they are on screen, allowing you to walk through them. Pretty neat huh?

Another fun fact, doing that allows you to get the Shining Laser early too. By getting the Drill Arm early,
and doing the side quests as early as you can, you can get the Shining Laser before finishing the Lake
Jyun Sub-Gate. Turns out that you don't need EVERY museum item. Just the Giant Horn and the
Reaverbot Eye.

I distracted myself, anyway...

Capcom, this game means more to me than you could ever know, this is my childhood and a great way
that I can remember the time I spent with my father.

Included is a picture of the game that brought me the

most joy, the same specific cartridge that I still play to
this day.

Please, finish the story. Bring Megaman home.

Sincerely,

Zachary

P.S. You wouldn't be losing money on this. You've got a lot of fans who'd be more than willing to buy
this, myself included.
Why Mega Man Legends means so much to me

Capcom, you guys had something special with Mega Man Legends or as it is called in Japan,
Rockman DASH. The game has so much going for it even nowadays when it clocks in more hours on my
Playstation 3 than Fallout 3 (yes, I said that).

The story pulls you in right away with something of an Indiana Jones opening. Youre the hero,
Rockman. Youre starting out in the ruins with this heart pounding music in the background. Dun dun,
dun dun, dun dun, dun dun. Its a relatively easy set of ruins with Roll leading you through and explaining
the controls. Immediately, you have a feel for what kind of lifestyle Rockman and Roll have.

Now as you continue through the game, youre introduced to Kattelox Island. Bit by bit as the game goes
on, you learn about its history and how it relates to the ruins. In fact, one big piece of story is revealed
optionally in the library of the Kattelox Island. There you learn how the ruins youve been exploring were
the old remnants of older civilizations. Theyve always been mysteriously destroyed once they reached a
point in the population.

Now what did you learn when you reached Rockman Juno??

Its storytelling like this that convinces you to go out and do those sidequests. Youll find out more about
the island and if you dont, youre still given some satisfaction. I love helping that lady get to the hospital
to have her baby! Helping the gang of kids nets you items to upgrade and make weapons! The police
chief rewards you for assisting in solving crime. My two personal favorites are the curator at the museum
and Ira. Finding items in ruins for the curator to display in the museum gave extra motivation because it
gives you an item for the best weapon in the game. Plus, you see the increased visitors to the museum. On
a sidenote, theres foreshadowing in the museum in the painting of a blue man fighting a familiar eye.
Rockman Juno of course!

Ira was a character I had been hoping to see in MML2 to be honest. Once you complete her sidequest and
provide the funding to fix her leg, she explains how she wants to be a Digger in the epilogue. That was
such a good fuzzy feeling that I wouldnt get again until I helped the twins in MML2. I felt good helping
her and I most definitely want to see her in MML3 in full Digger gear.

The music and the graphics provide such a retro anime, almost steampunk feel. Its a hard feeling to
explain, but I always get the feeling that Im watching an old late 80s early 90s steampunk anime. This is
not something you see nowadays and I really liked the design. The music has the right touch from the
upbeat uptown theme in MML and the Calinca Island.

So in the end, come on. Make Rockman DASH 3. Make it happen. While we had lots of answers for the
series in the second installment, we havent had a satisfied conclusion. With the major decisions made at
the end of the second game, I want to see how those decisions effect the rest of the world. Will refractors
still be the major source of energy? Will Rockman bring a new energy source from the moon?

Will he even get off the moon?

MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Shannon B.
Mega Man Legends first came out when I was very young, maybe around three or four. At that point I
was too young to play it, but my sister, who is 5 years my senior, adored the games. I used to sit on a bean
bag chair in the rec room and watch her play. It was our special time together away from the troubles of
our youth.

Back in those days we were in foster care and we didn't really get along so great. But these games brought
us together. We used to spend hours kicking those white rabbits once we found out that it turns your
armor black. To be fair, we thought they were evil.

I played myself for the first time when I was 7 and I could never get past the first boss, but it was still the
most fun I had ever had, as my sister sat behind me and yelled at the TV and myself. When we finished
Legends 2 we waited patiently for the next game, the game that never came, stranding Mega Man on the
moon, the poor boy.

Aside from all of my personal reasons for wanting a new Mega Man Legends game, I think that it is
important to take a couple things into consideration: there is a lot of new technology. In an era with
augmented reality where we can play Pokmon on our phones there's no doubt that there is the possibility
of adding that extra something to the games, targeting an entirely new audience and generation. Not only
that, but Legends has the potential to grow into more than 3 games even.

There are so many possibilities, it should be impossible to pass up this opportunity. But on the other hand,
if you're not going to go all the way, why go at all? I think I can speak for all Mega Man fans when I say
that we were so excited for the third game, a game we were promised. And when that was taken away it
felt like a little piece of me was taken with it. An adventure was left unfinished, a story never got to truly
become a Legend. And a game like this deserves it. It deserves an ending. It deserves closure. It deserves
to be a legend.

Regards,

Matthew M
Nostalgia...

It's been five years since the plug was pulled on Mega Man Legends 3, and sixteen since Mega Man
Legends 2 left me hanging, longing for more. My memories of Mega Man Legends reach even farther
back, almost a full TWENTY YEARS now, to the moment I flipped through the pages of a magazine and
first laid eyes on "Rockman Neo" development screens.

I had no idea that Legends would become such an enormously important part of my life, but those
screens--a blocky police car cruising the Downtown streets, Tron with her unforgettable hairdo, and so
on--are still vivid in my mind. They left a remarkably strong impression, the first of many to come.

Mega Man Legends is something very special. I could easily fill page after page, droning on about how
amazing every aspect is and how much the series means to me (as I've often done online and in prior
messages to Capcom), but I believe this powerful nostalgia the series evokes speaks louder than I ever
could. A scent in the air, a change in the light, the shape of a cloud, a can in the street--it's unbelievable
how frequently such subtle aspects of everyday life might trigger a beloved memory of the Legends
series, pulling my thoughts to some fond recollection of the games. Tugging at my heart strings.

I am not alone in my undying love and devotion to Legends. There are SO many of us who have been
touched deeply by this wonderful series. So many of us who have waited, are waiting, and will forever
continue to wait for its continuation. This world needs Mega Man Legends 3, and until it comes, we will
be here as a constant reminder.

Sincerely,

Paul Burns (fAB)

To those it may concern,

To those at Capcom who are reading this, I would like to extend greetings and thanks in your taking the
time to read this letter. The nature of which focus on a subject that needs to be addressed, and that now is
an opportune time: I want Capcom to complete Mega Man Legends 3. As a lifelong customer and gamer,
I have seen games come and go, but few have ever touched me in such a way as the MML games- It felt
like stepping into a world full of life that goes beyond the standard conventions that most games had at
the time: It was a Friday summer afternoon in 1999 that I first rented the first Mega Man Legends game.
At first, it felt like something I had seen already as an action RPG, but I soon realized it was the start of
something wonderful- after clearing the introductory ruins and crashing on Kattleox Island, I found a
place that was full of character and life. The people on the island didn't feel like one-line random
characters. Each had their own motivations and stories to tell. I found myself wanting to know more about
them in the marketplace, and things really picked after seeing the ever-persistent Bonnes and their lovable
Servbot army. Even though they spend the game trying to blow you to kingdom come, you can't stay mad
at them. The ruins themselves had a life of their own, though far more subdued and mysterious compared
to the thriving population on the surface- dark, creepy and just waiting to be explored. I loved seeing what
was hidden in the nooks and crevices, and blowing up the Reaverbots. By the time I completed the game,
I felt like I was reading a good book, and felt a twinge of sadness: the people on that little island grew on
me, and having to say goodbye to them was a bit hard at times: that kind of investment is hard to achieve.
I was happy to own the game when I found it at a swap meet, a few years later. And this was only the
start- between The Misadventures of Tron Bonne and the sequel, Mega Man Legends 2, I found
something truly unique. For a time, I thought that was the end, but I had no idea what would come later.

When I first heard that Mega Man Legends 3 was announced, I thought it was a dream, but when I saw
how the development was being handled, I thought this was the start of a new era: fans working with
developers to craft a game like no other- as I saw fans from around the world giving input, drawing up
designs for the contests, and even talking with the development team, the time filled me with joy. The
first time I felt it, I thought it was a dream..... and yet, it seemed just that. Despite promises of the release
of a demo to gauge the release, hearing about the game getting canceled felt like someone had ripped out
part of me, dashed it on the ground and smash it, underfoot... It was crushing and cruel to see all that work
and interaction suddenly vanish into smoke. It was a wound that was compounded as people laughed at
the expense of fans who had a dream broken in front of their collective eyes, but it was not the end: From
the ashes of the cancellation, the fans came together again- they resolved to make themselves heard and
see this game completed. My feelings echoed with theirs- this was not the end. For five years, the MML
fanbase continually demonstrated dedication, loyalty and a resolve like tempered steel to make
themselves heard- to see MML3 completed. There are few fanbases capable of enduring adversity and
still soldiering on. Which comes to another reason why Mega Man Legends 3 should be made- the timing
couldn't be any better.

One of the major concerns during the time of the game's cancellation was the uncertainty of the Nintendo
3DS becoming a commercial success. At the time, I had not considered getting it, but once I heard that
MML3 was going to be on it, I bought one as soon as I had a chance. This game was the reason I bought
it. Those that came after were mere fringe benefits, for me. Five years later, the 3DS has dominated in
terms of sales and success time and time again. Even now, it is reinforced with the recent release of
Monster Hunter Generations, just a few weeks ago. People want games on the 3DS, and MML3 can
deliver if it's completed: It's different from the current market, over-saturated with gritty and dull shooters
and over-hyped titles with little work put into them. The Mega Man Legends games shine with life,
diversity, and most importantly heart. If Capcom were to complete MML3, this could be a game changer.
The market is open. People who didn't know about the games then know now, thanks to the arrival of the
MML games on PlayStation Network (PSN) last year. The time for doubt is over, the market is ready for
it- it's time to get Mega Man Volnutt off the moon.

Kindest regards,

Carlos F.
"As you grow up, nostalgia grows even greater, and I've been experiencing this since I played both
Megaman Legends and Megaman Legends 2.

Before these games came out on the PSN store, I went through a lot of trouble to get to play these games
again since I became an adult. Trouble such as sort of hacking my psp or emulating psx on my computer.
All these things that I did were just to enjoy a little but quite important piece of my childhood memories,
and that's another issue itself. Let me explain.

In my social circle, I'm one of the few people who can consider themselves a gamer per se, but in that
little group of people, I'm the only one who played MML when I was a child. So these campaigns and FB
groups who acknowledge the importance of this game makes me realize I'm not alone when I say "I want
MML back". I mean, when the games came out on the PSN Store it was a no-brainer: I got 'em right
away.

But I know I'm not here to write about my social issues or my childhood. I'm here to write about why
Megaman Legends deserves a sequel so...

Why Megaman Legends deserves a sequel?

First and foremost, we're talking about the game that has ruined for me most of the games to come after it.
Why? Simply because this game has heart. And yes, there is a lot of things that we all can judge when we
play a video game: graphics, gameplay, soundtrack, story, the usual. But there is something that only a
limited number of video games have, and that is heart. I could go on writing about the great story, the
sense of mystery, the lovable characters, the awesome soundtrack, user friendly controls, tacky voice
acting, great secondary missions, and all that stuff that makes this game great but I think nothing I can say
can beat actually playing this game for yourself.

Maybe if people who have never played this game before play it today, it would be more difficult for
them to appreciate it at its core, and that's also why we need a sequel. I would really like to see new
generations enjoying games with heart.

So it's time to make your move, Capcom.

What's it gonna be?

Best regards,

Ernesto
Im a late/newcomer to the Legends series. Ive always been looking at it from afar, since I never had the
chance to own or get to play it when I was younger, so finally being able to play it thanks to the re-
releases on PSN meant a lot to me. I was just able to experience the first title, so Ill mostly talk about it.

Its really hard to put into words how amazed I was at the immense amounts of life the world of Legends
had to offer. You could go to anyone and theyd always have something new to say about whats
happening around! All the characters were really charming and heck, its incredible that they managed to
make unnamed NPCs so memorable! Such as the ladies who sold bread, the couple near the lake or even
the girl from the hospital.

And thats just talking about the surface. The underground ruins are a whole other story! They have such
a different atmosphere and being honest, the Reaverbots did scare me more than once when getting lost in
the vast ruins, which I could explore for hours and always find new paths, items or secret exits.

On a more personal level, the charm and uniqueness of this world has inspired me immensely to create.
The setting, characters, mechas, everything is so nicely done that it is impossible to not get inspired by it!
The passion that the devs put into this game really shows.

Even though I only played the first game, Im aware of how the second game ended, and it is such a
shame that we probably wont get a conclusion to Volnutts story. As a newcomer, Im more than looking
forward to the second game, although in a bittersweet way, since I know that the story will end in a
cliffhanger. Im also aware the reasons as to why its hard to bring an end to the series, but I can say with
confidence that those who choose to get into the Legends series will feel the same way. These characters
deserve another chance to shine!

The year was 2001. My family and I moved to another state that year and my dad got a really good job so
they could afford a PS1 and a few games that Christmas. Those three games was one of your titles, Mega
Man Legends. I played Mega Man X previously and was so surprised to see a Mega Man game on the
PS1! I was so excited to plug everything in and start playing

"In a world covered by endless water"

I still remember that feeling I had when I heard those words. Excitement, Curiosity and Eagerness to learn
about this world, this universe. So after many playthroughs of the game I would go outside and have my
own. I would show my friends and they'll like it as well!

Then in 2004 we moved again to another town and one trip we went to Sam's Club that was 200 miles
away from where we lived and that's when I got Mega Man Legends 2! I didn't even know you made
another and that alone made me fall in love with this series even more! Of course I played it showed my
new friends and they've always known about how much I loved these games and characters.

I really would love for this series to get a proper sequel to flesh out the story some more! I know between
my friends and myself you'll get support! I don't want to have a big cliffhanger and to have these
characters to die out!

So please take this letter as a full on support for the next installment of the Mega Man Legends series!

Let's get Mega Man off the moon!

- Kodi Penrod
From the very first moment I heard " In a world covered by endless water" at the age of 8, I was
absolutely hooked on MegaMan Legends. My first experience with the game was renting it for 2 days
from the local video store to try it out, I was terrible at reading so my mother would sit and play it with
me to help with the words I couldn't quite get at the time not only was I hooked but she also ended up
hooked and we immediately went out to our local store to buy the game for ourselves, and when
MegaMan Legends 2 was out we did the same thing. Now as I got older I could play the game by myself
and each play through I would find new things or unlock stuff I either missed in the previous play
throughs or just didn't know about.

Everything about the MegaMan Legends series was, and still is fascinating; the characters all
have a story, be it big, small, or enigmatic, and the enemies were so unique compared to other games at
the time and honestly still hold their uniqueness to this date. It was a series that captivated adults and
children, with little to no advertising in our area, and it was a game that helped build powerful memories,
fond memories, and an 8 year olds reading level. It deserves a sequel, it deserves a chance to build
memories for a new generation and an old generation together and to help kids learn, it wasn't a mindless
shooting game; you had to think and approach things differently, and there were even actual quizzes in
game! They were fun and challenging and it made you learn and become better, its a series I will always
play and will share with my children.

For me, MegaMan Legends was a childhood, and a building block that helped me improve, it
inspired me to become better, and was a deciding factor on my enrollment at the Art Institute of
Pittsburgh for Game Art and Design, and I hope that the Legend will continue, so that children and adults
can share the Legends Love, and continue to make great memories and grow together.

Sincerely,
Robert J. Rea V.
Hi Capcom,

I'm Jess, a 23 year old Game Journalist from Virginia, and The Legends series needs to be finished. As a
little girl you never saw women in games much, or even playing them in the 90's for that matter. So when
I found Mega Man Legends I fell in love with Roll and Tron Bonne. Capcom you truly don't know how
much these characters meant to girls like me that didn't fit in at the time. Tron Bonne is an amazing
character that you created just for this series. Please don't throw her away! As for Mega Man in this game
series, he was a great character he made me want to meet a guy just like him! Please don't get rid of this
version of Mega Man. Roll is such a talented builder it'd be a shame if she couldn't use her talents more,
and let's not forget Gramps! Think of how unique the gameplay was as well, it still being a different
formula from anything today. How could you not sell us more of that? You even yourself had to be in
love with this series, once you even made a spin-off game. Yeah, it probably didn't get much traction in
the States, but it was still fantastic and now you have people like me who will promote your games for
free! What's better than letting us, the reviewers give you free publicity? Did you see the documentary
trending on Facebook the other day? We can do that for Legends 3, but make it trend many more times
than that just during the development and for much longer too! All you need to do is finish the game, we
are here to make it get sales if you do. I know the gaming market is scary, but a series making a comeback
will only make you money... So please for your fans, just finish Legends 3.

Your game inspired so much in me don't give up on it yet. Legends is good enough to finish! If I could
write clearer I would send a letter, I promise, but just know I spent a lot of time tracking down Legends 1
and 2. If I can pay high prices for them I can buy everyone I know a copy of 3. Just give me the chance. I
love this series with all my heart I even wrote a review of the first game during my first bits of journalism
when you released the PSN titles.

http://geekgirlpenpals.com/2015/11/Mega-man-Legends/

Even when I was working to improve myself I wanted to improve Legends too, because without it I
wouldn't have all the pieces that inspired me to do the thing I love most.

I've been a huge Mega Man fan for a long, long time.....starting with "Mega Man X2" at a Toys R' Us
demo display. It was so easy to pick up and play, and while I would constantly die, the game would
encourage me to keep on playing, and even would give me a password screen should I endeavor to want
to continue my journey in the future. It felt like such a perfect, simple idea: select a stage, shoot through
enemies, find special items, upgrades/etc., and then face the robot master/maverick. Defeat the boss to
gain a new weapon and then utilize the logical sense of your mind to find out which next robot
master/maverick would be weak to it. But a simple idea is nothing without such fluid, intuitive controls
and grand level design. Fitting each stage in a distinctive theme with some native enemies, and unusual
traps all made each new run-through a Mega Man game exciting.

So as I grew up with the series, I ended up spending a lot of hours on sub-series after sub-series feeling
the same kind of magic flowing through whatever had the buster-prints of the Blue Bomber. Whatever
can be said, the greatness of the controls in the Original and X series' translated extremely well to
whatever new sub-series were created to breathe some new life into the franchise's mascot. So many great
ideas, from Battle Network to the Mega Man Zero series......and that brings me to the Legends sub-series.

I remember, years ago, attempting to play the first Legends game on the PS1. I had loved Mega Man and
I thought that it would be very neat to play another spin-off title. While I liked the game, I couldn't adapt
too well to the playstyle. Of course, this was back when real 3D gaming was sort of in its infancy, and I
wasn't entirely used to playing a game like this. So I decided to give up on the series.

Thing is, though, one of the most important messages spread throughout self-help books and inspirational
movies is the idea of not giving up, of seeing things through to the end. With that in mind, I came back to
the Legends series, starting with "Mega Man 64", the Nintendo 64 version of the first game. As I played
through it, I was able to adapt to the control scheme more and more, and I ended up getting a warmth in
my heart for this game. The personalities of the main characters; the inter-connectedness of the island.
which almost made it feel like I was playing Mega Metroid; the action, raw, strong and full of energy; the
fantastic boss battles and the anticipation of a sequel with the fantastic cliff-hanger. It sort of blew me
away. What to play next? "Misadventures of Tron Bonne"? Can't wait!

And there I was, fulfilling missions, all of which had such a range of diverse play-styles wrapped up in a
fantastic spin-off of the Legends 1 motif. The RPG elements of the first game were back, and you have
slight base simulation elements also. The voice-acting was still charming as all hell, it was a treat. But
they didn't prepare me for the masterpiece of the sub-series, "Mega Man Legends 2".

I remember reading the description page of the game thinking "Well, this is probably going to be a lot
better than the first game. You have multiple islands, plenty of places to explore.....a real epic adventure,"
and what blew me away was that it did exactly what I needed it to do, and made mince-meat of the first
game! No longer were you stranded on one island. You could explore many of them, with all kinds of
little villages, dungeons, you could even explore the moon! Unlike the inter-connected bare-bones
dungeons of the original, this game had such distinctive, wonderful dungeons with one even allowing
Mega Man Volnutt to move underwater like he was in the classic and X series. It actually felt more like
another one of my favorite series, "The Legend of Zelda," which moved me as I played throughout the
game. There were also random encounters, which helped in the zenny farming, and a grand story whose
ending still needs to be resolved.
Now I don't know if whatever I've said will move any mountains. As it is I have a lot of passion on my
mind when discussing the Legends series. I don't know too much about why this world is so much better
without the existence of a third game, and why our advocacy isn't enough for a "Mega Man Legends 3"
(quotes in hopes of its future release). Considering that it's been five years, and if this book does get
made, I think that it is important to understand that there are some people out there, like me, who will not
forget about this game, should you all at Capcom decide to revive it. I would purchase it, and I will play
it! Here's hoping!

- Merrick Egber

Hello.

Honestly, I've never had the chance to play the Megaman Legends games because, unfortunately, I don't
have a console. Nevertheless, I am a huge fan of the Megaman games, so I really want to see Megaman
Legends 3 come true. Even if I have never played it personally, I can see that there's a certain charm in it
that few games have. The story is interesting, the characters are unique and they have such a fun
personality. Especially the Bonnes. :D The world looks so bright and alive. Also, the series ended on a
huge cliffhanger, and personally, I think good stories should be continued. :)

P.S: To be honest, when I first saw this project, I didn't want to write, but after seeing so many letters
posted on Facebook, I realized that even though I'd never played the game, I still wanted to show my
support for this project. Go for it!

Sincerely:

Enik Kirly
Where do I begin with Mega Man Legends 3?

I have been a Mega Man fan for what feels like all of my life. I have fond memories of playing Mega
Man 2 through 4 and 6 on the NES. Years later, revisiting them, I am really quite surprised at how well
they have held up! In fact, there are very few games out of the entire series that I consider to be sub-par,
let alone bad! To me, the name Mega Man was a guarantee that it was going to be a very good game
with a high level of polish and a few creative twists thrown in to keep it from getting stale. Mega Man
was to Capcom as Mario is to Nintendo a timeless mascot with a near perfect track record of quality
games.

Mega Man Legends is no different. Now the only thing I remember from childhood is seeing the games in
stores and on TV ads. I never got to play them until about two years ago when I got both Legends games
and the Misadventures of Tron Bonne on PSOne as a Christmas gift (thanks, Mom!) I am still kicking
myself for missing out on these all these years ago because they are just too fun! I was pleasantly
surprised at how well Mega Man worked in a 3D environment. The controls in the first game took a bit
getting used to, and the voice acting was not great, but everything else (exciting gameplay, likeable
characters, engaging story) was very well done! The second game was even better, improving on concepts
introduced in the first!

Unfortunately, Legends 2 ended with a cliffhanger. Mega Man is stuck in space, Roll and Tron are
planning a rescue, and there were still too many questions unanswered What is the Elder System? What
will it do? Will Roll ever be reunited with her parents? And most importantly, will Roll and Tron rescue
Mega Man?

No! Capcom practically shut down the rescue project and left Mega Man (and some company) to die in
the vacuum of space! Why? Because the game wont sell well enough? There are about One Hundred-
Thousand people who are willing to buy the game! They even bought 3DSs at launch, specifically for the
Mega Man Legends 3 Prototype! Heck, the name Mega Man is right in the title! Thats probably
another few million sold right there! They were on the right track with Mega Man 9 and 10! Why throw it
away? And on top of that, Mega Man was excluded from Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 despite fan polls, and the
bad box-art version was on-disc DLC for Street Fighter X Tekken! At that point, I dont think it was
about the money anymore it was spite! What did Mega Man fans do to deserve the hate? And
remember, this was four years before Konami did the same thing (but a bit worse) to not only Silent Hill
fans, but Konami fans in general!

But I digress.

For someone who has loved the Blue Bomber for as long as I remember, I couldnt let Mega Man die
prematurely! So I thought of starting a petition but I didnt need to! Instead, I found
GetMeOffTheMoon! There were already 100,000 people joined together to have their voices heard, and I
joined immediately! While I was not the most active member, one thing is true: I wanted this game! In a
world full of brown military shooters and realistic graphics at the expense of fun, memorable experiences,
it would be great to look forward to a new Mega Man again a game that stands out on the shelves and
practically sells itself! Im even working on my own fan written story concerning the rescue of Mega Man
Im that determined!
I want this game not only for me, but for all gamers and Mega Man fans to enjoy! Resident Evil and
Street Fighter are fine and all, but Mega Man is something special something that cannot be replaced
(though many have tried). Its an unforgettable experience that we can share with friends of all ages! We
can introduce new potential fans to the series, and then more people will want to buy the games, and that
number on the bottom line will grow! The re-releases on the Nintendo eShop and PlayStation Network
are not enough! Unlike other old franchises, Mega Man still has lots of untapped potential in terms of
evolution, and I want to see the best Mega Man game possible! Hey, itll be a lot better than Monster
Hunter 3 Ultimate!

Until then, were not going away because Legends Never die

Dear Capcom,

Just a few years ago I was introduced to MegaMan Legends. There are very few games that make me fall
in love with the first mission, and it was one of them. I played it like there weren't any other games left on
the planet. I beat it on Hard Mode four times, only getting the Shining Laser once. I know I must have
spent about 300 or so hours on that game. After I while I found out that there was a second one and nearly
jumped out of my skin with excitement. So I ordered a copy and tried playing it.

There was already a save file when I started it. I played through the tutorial level and tried to start a new
game. Unfortunately, I was unable to get any farther than Saul Kada because the disc was scratched, so
naturally, wanting to continue the story, I loaded the save file. It was at the very end of the game.
Hesitantly, I started it, halfheartedly cursing myself for not buying a better copy and learning the whole
story. So I played it, and (after three Game Overs) finally beat the boss and watched the final cut-scene. A
cliffhanger. Now my interest had been piqued. 'There has to be a third one,' I said to myself, approaching
my computer. I typed in the words "MegaMan Legends 3" just to discover that there was, in fact, a third
game. Well, there was going to be a third game, at least. My eye twitched nervously after reading the
word "cancelled."

The stages of grief washed over me like the waves on the beach. "No way," I said, brushing it aside as
misinformation. But after reading multiple sources, I was infuriated, to say the least. The following night I
prayed that it would be re-announced, to no avail. Then I just spent the day in my room, lying on my bed,
deflafted. There wasn't a end to the greatest story I've ever been told. To this day, I've still not reached
acceptance. I still have hope that Legends 3 will one day be released. I am also quite ashamed of freaking
out, since there were fans who had grown up with this series, and I'd only known it a few years.

All I'm asking is that MegaMan Legends 3 is one day made. Everyone wants to see the end of this story,
but no one knows what it is. That is, no one but you at Capcom, who writes it.

Sincerely,

A kid who never quite grew up.

I first came across Mega Man Legends when it was ported to the Nintendo 64 and called Mega Man 64. I
didn't play it so much as watch my little brother play. His favorite part was opening the key ruins on
Kattleox Island and fighting the Reaverbots inside while listening to the awesome soundtrack.

I discovered Legends as it was meant to be when the PS2 was released and got myself the game as it was
meant to be played. I love kicking the vending machines for free drinks and turning black about every
other time I play the game through. I revel in the satisfaction of getting the Shining Laser and literally
kicking Mega Man Juno while he's down. These sort of feelings aren't something commonly found in
other games.

When I discovered Legends 2 I eagerly ate it up. New weapons, new gameplay, new environments. I get
to fly the Flutter! And an underwater stage! That wasn't in the first game! And to learn more about
Volnutt after that bombshell in the ending of the first game; keep piling the candy on!

I flipped a wig when I learned about Legends 3 and participated as much as I felt I could. I'm no artist but
I participated in the forums and ate up new developments. I even bought a 3DS to play the demo a month
before it was slated to be released. And it broke my heart to tears when I heard of the cancellation.

Legends 2 deserves a Legends 3. Finish the story. Bring back the joy and the memories. Open the path to
create new memories with new characters and new missions and new soundtracks. Bring Volnutt home!
And maybe answer how the heck Data made it off the moon without him.

Here we go!

Mega Man Legends is a unique way for Mega Man to stretch out beyond the realm of a 2D sidescrolling
relic. Legends 3's cancellation on the Nintendo 3DS was a colossal missed opportunity to make Mega
Man relevant to modern gaming again. The original PS1 games were massive and magical titles, with
an unforgettable cast of characters, that kept me thoroughly hooked from beginning to end. I could not
be happier that these games have finally seen a re-release after all this time. But they also show their
age in that they were designed when 3D gaming was in its infancy. Control, camera, and combat were
all fun and adequate, but they come from an era before such things were standardized for 3D adventures,
and thus took some getting used to. A new adventure with a more intuitive presentation could help re-
ignite both the Legends series and the Mega Man franchise as a whole.

There is a tremendous passion for Mega Man which has by and large gone untapped for several years
(briefly glimpsed when Mega Man appeared in Super Smash Bros.). That passion will not be satisfied
with merchandise and mobile phones alone. The unique scope, style, and charm of the Legends series
are timeless points of appeal that, if utilized properly, can be the foundation to show the world that Mega
Man need not remain just a fond memory. Even if it is too late for the 3DS project that we knew five
years ago, I will give my full support to any effort to realize that vision on a current platform, such as the
upcoming Codename NX.

(attached is a screenshot that I arranged in Super Smash Bros. 4's trophy gallery; it has been my Miiverse
banner for well over a year)
To whom it may concern,

My name is Jared. I am 8 years old, and I watch the MegaMan Cartoon show every weekend. I played
MegaMan games for SNES and Playstation. MegaMan is my favorite game. I talk about it with my
friends, I buy the toys, and I read game magazines my friends bring to school during lunch. I saw that a
new game called MegaMan Legends is coming out. It wasn't like any of the other MegaMan games
before it. But me and my best friend got it for our birthdays, which were on the same day, and we played
it non-stop, trading hints and tips on where to get things and find treasure, and how to beat those nasty
Bonne pirates. Even though they were the bad guys, they were really funny, and I liked Tiesel the most. I
even had a crush on Miss Tron...(but don't tell anybody!)

I played and played and played that game for so long, piecing together hints and clues about how it
connects to MegaMan X, since I learned X takes place 100 years in the future of MegaMan! So what did
that mean for Legends..? I made friends with the people living on Kattleox Island, helping the Junk Shop
owner, and the Museum Curator, and saving the Mayor from the pirates, and helping the gang finish their
club house! Those were great adventures I will never ever forget. MegaMan is my hero. When I grow up,
I want to be like him.

My name is Jared. I am 11 years old. I got something for my birthday again. MegaMan Legends 2! I'm so
excited. A new MegaMan game! I don't care if it's X or Classic, or whatever. I'm just happy to have a new
MegaMan game. All my friends have come back! Roll, Barrel, the Bonnes, and even some new people. I
started my adventure all over again. I'm finally going to find the Mother Lode! All the mysteries of
MegaMan were going to be found out! I can barely contain my excitement! I got the Jet Skates again! I
like the new graphics, and the lock on feature is much better this time around. I really love the music, and
those Reaverbots are just as scary as they ever were. Who's this girl? Yuna? Sera? The Master? The
System? I have so many questions. But I'm sure it'll all be answered in the next game!

My name is Jared. I am 21 years old. I got something for my birthday again. A new jacket. It's warm and
comfortable, but it's been awhile since a new MegaMan game has come out. MegaMan 9 was awesome! I
was so excited when I heard it got released. MegaMan 10 also, which I recently bought. I'm really hoping
with these two games, it means MegaMan will be making a comeback! I've been waiting for a new
MegaMan X game to come out. The last one was in 2004 and I've already beaten all the ones I own. In
fact, I own almost every MegaMan game for every console now! I'm only missing a few, but my
collection is almost complete! I bought an NES to play the classics on, and I went online to get the rare
ones I missed out on when I was younger. But eating away at me at the back of my head. I keep looking
at each of the series, Battle Network, X, Star Force, Zero, ZX, and they all seem to be getting a lot of
attention. But MegaMan Legends hasn't been touched in a long time. I guess we'll never know how the
MegaMan story ends......

My name is Jared. I am 21 years old. I can't believe it! I was losing all hope but MegaMan Legends 3 was
announced! I can barely contain my excitement! I have butterflies in my stomach! My heart is pounding!
My head is aching! My fingers are shaking! It's happening! It's finally happening! My hero has come
back! We will all finally know the ending of the MegaMan story! We will all know how my hero, no, our
hero gets off of Elysium and saves the world! What? A panel? At New York Comic Con?! I can go to
that!! I'll fly my best friend in, who I met on the internet out to New York! He's coming all the way from
Arizona to meet me for the first time, and we get to see Legends 3 in person! And I get to contribute?! I
can enter my designs and art and hopefully it will be put in the game! I always wanted to be like those
lucky kids who got their Robot Masters put in the old games, but they came out before my time! But
now's my chance! Now is my chance!!

My name is Jared. I am 21 years old. I'm listening to the Flutter's theme, remastered for MegaMan
Legends 3, which I have just learned is being cancelled, along with MegaMan Universe. I'm sad. I'm
confused. My heart is broken. I'm crying and I can't stop. I try to hide it so no one thinks I'm childish for
crying over a video game, but MegaMan means more to me than a video game. MegaMan is my hero. My
hero who shaped me into the person I am today. Who's video games got me through my rough childhood,
and helped me stay strong when life got hard. My hero was almost back in my hands. I was prepared to
buy Nintendo's new handheld system just to play this new game. But now I'm just staring at the
homepage, listening to that nostalgic music. It's so upbeat and happy, and full of love and commitment. It
doesn't know that it's been cancelled. The Flutter is singing, and it doesn't know that it will never fly
again. I keep waiting for news that you've changed your mind, but it never comes. As I walk outside at
night, I stare up at the moon, knowing my hero is up there. He needs our help, and we want to help him.
We'll give him money if that's what he needs. We'll give him support if that's what he needs. We'll do
anything to get our hero back.

An online community is born overnight, of people who are also crying. People who are listening to that
music, and carrying it's happiness in their hearts. They are just as confused, but just as hopeful, that
maybe they can change your mind. They tried as hard as they could to tell you that you were mistaken.
And that this is really what we wanted. But we couldn't change your mind. We all cried together on tha t
day, and I know some of you did too. I met them. I spoke to them. They felt the same as us. That game
was more than a game. It was memories. It was lessons. It was hope and love and kindness. Whether you
intended to or not, you made more than a videogame to be sold on a disc. You made an entire generation
of people into Dreamers, and shaped their lives. This game carries with it so much meaning.

My name is Jared. I am 27 years old. I've completed my MegaMan collection. I own every single game
now for every console, even the collection editions, and I have too many toys and figures to count. I am
starting my own video game company, a dream I have had since I was 8 years old after beating MegaMan
X for the first time and wanting to make my own MegaMan games, with the goal of working for you
some day. With the help of my fianc, who I met because of our shared love of MegaMan and the games
you've made, she is helping me to create my own video games. With the hope that my games and her art
will reach out and touch people the same way your games have. I just played and beat MegaMan Legends
1, Misadventures of Tron Bonne, and MegaMan Legends 2 on Playstation Network for my PS3. After all
these years, I still have the ruins and maps memorized. I still know where all the secrets are, and seeing
those pixelated faces again makes me smile, and brings me back to a happier time in my life.

It's been 5 years since all of us felt our hearts break. But we are still here. And there are more of us than
when we started. I was devoted to MegaMan growing up, when other people didn't understand or see the
point. I was fixated on the game series that made me into a dreamer, that made me into a good person.
The games that truly made me happy. And I can see now that I was never alone. We were here all along
and will always be here, together, our voices as one, shouting to the moon "We're coming for you!" to
bring back our hero.

MegaMan is more than a video game. He is an icon, a symbol, an example of goodness that is universally
understood, and loved by children and adults alike. He represents all that is good and courageous deep
down inside of us, and gives us the bravery needed to bring that goodness to the surface and let it shine.
We love you, and the work you've done to bring us what we love. We want to support you. We hold you
in such high regard. We want to cheer for you! We want to see you succeed! We want to make you our
hero again! When we can all shout loudly "I love Capcom!"

So I ask you one more time; Please, from the bottom of all our hearts, help return our hero to us. Please,
let us know, what we can do, to make it happen. Tell us what it will take to make our dream come true,
and I know we will come together, and make it possible.

Be our hero. We miss you.

In a world covered by endless water

With those words, I was hooked. Mega Man Legends drew me in, and it never let me go. This
was a new, mysterious world. One filled with adventure and intrigue, pirates and hidden treasures,
unforgettable characters and dangerous missions.

When I was a child, I loved exploring Kattleox Island. The people were unique, the city and
forests were colorful, and I was thrilled when I discovered that I could kick a soda can behind a counter to
earn extra zenny. But the underground ruins were a different story. I was scared of them. They were dark,
desolate, and terrifyingand yet I kept going back. Something drew me into those Reaverbot-ridden
dungeons, always calling out to me. It was the call to adventure. The desire to check around just one more
corner, to challenge the unknown and to prove my worth.

But there was something else lurking in those dungeons, beyond the Reaverbots and even
adventure. It was the past, beckoning me to press forward. The hidden tunnels were the remnants of an
era lost to the fabric of time, yet still lurking beneath the worlds surface. Every treasure chest, every hole
in the wall, every hidden tunnel was a new opportunity to connect with the past. And was this past just a
superficial video game coating, or was there more to it than that? For me, it was a constant hunt to
uncover everything I could about this world, always with the thought that maybe, just maybe, I would
find bits and pieces of the other Mega Man titles hidden in the darkness.

If you speak with a certain man in the library near the end of the first game, he will say to you:
Sometimes, you see references in history books to something called a 'Mega Man'...I wonder what that's
supposed to mean? Hey, come to think of it, your name is Mega Man, isn't it? Well, there's probably
no connection--pretty funny coincidence, though! But its not a coincidence. We discover later that
Mega Man Volnutt is truly Mega Man Trigger, one of many Mega Men from a bygone era.

But when did the line of Mega Men begin? That answer lies in the short-lived ZX series, in which
ordinary people become Mega Men by merging with biometals. These biometals operate on the Meta-
Encapsulated Granule Awareness (M.E.G.A.) System. Those who Megamerged with the biometals were
thus known as Mega Men. The M.E.G.A. System was in fact named by Ciel, the leader of the Resistance
hundreds of years earlier, in the Zero series. She couldnt have chosen the title of Mega Man by
coincidence. This was Ciel, the brilliant scientist who developed Copy X himself. She undoubtedly knew
the true Xs full name, Mega Man X, and must have named the M.E.G.A. System in his honor. But even
Mega Man X himself was named for another. His predecessor, the first robot who chose to fight for
everlasting peace: Mega Man.

Legends is not just another Mega Man game, nor an unrelated spinoff. It is the culmination of a
long saga of heroes. Mega Man. Proto Man. Bass. Duo. X. Axl. Zero. The Four Guardians. Vent and Aile.
Gray and Ashe. Roll Caskett. Data. Mega Man Volnutt, and all the Mega Men who lived between the
gaps. All roads lead to Legends. That man in the library asks what a Mega Man is supposed to mean.
Capcom, it is up to you to give the world an answer. Its time to prove that Legends Never Die.

For Everlasting Peace.

Hello, my name is Jeremiah Ellison and I'm a humble gamer with a story about Mega Man Legends. To
start this story first we must first turn back the hands of time to when I was very young. I believe back
when the PlayStation2 was one of the big consoles out there. One time I was playing Mega Man on my
PlayStation2. If I remember correctly and the game I was playing was a very unusual Mega Man game. I
had fun playing it but I never got far in it because I had no clue what I was doing. I don't remember much
about that specific game especially its name. I just remember that it was an unusual Mega Man game.

Fast forward a few years to somewhere around a year ago. I'm not sure how long ago it was but I was just
browsing the PlayStation Store looking at deals and stuff for games on my Vita when I stumbled across
Mega Man Legends. It wasn't too expensive and it looked interesting so I decided to do a little
investigative work. During my research, I encountered a let's play of Mega Man Legends. I figured it was
an ideal opportunity to find out what the game was like so I watched it. While watching it, I felt a little bit
of deja vu. Then, I thought about that one Mega Man game I used to play. I have tried in the past to find it
and replay it but I couldn't remember the name and the only idea I had of finding it was to check the
Mega Man Anniversary Collection I had because I was sure it was on there but I had no success. At first I
didn't think that was right because I remembered it having a 2D overhead view with complete 3D
movement. But the more I watched the game the more convinced I was that was the very game I've been
looking for to replay. Shortly after that realization but not too far in the let's play I decided to get the
game for myself. Luckily during my research I stumbled upon the existence of its prequel: The
Misadventures of Tron Bonne. So I got both games on the PSN for my PSVita.

I started with Tron first because I'm a continuity nut and I always feel the need to play the games in
chronological order. First thing I did in game was view the secret cutscene. Afterwards, I started the game
using the original control style because I planned to play MegaMan Legends afterwards. I really liked the
intro stage but I quickly found out that the standard controls for MegaMan Legends games on Vita was
awkward. This was especially apparent on the first stage of Mission 1. So I went back to Mission 1
afterwards and spent a good amount of time messing around with the controls until I finally put in a
control scheme that worked just fine. My custom controls included disabling touch controls, making it
possible to use the left analog stick as movement in Digital Mode, moving the L1 and R1 buttons to the
right analog stick in their respective direction, and making the actual shoulder buttons L2 and R2
respectively. While it wasn't a perfect control scheme, it worked and it didn't feel awkward. And that's the
controls I used for the MegaMan Legends games but I didn't need it as much once I got to MegaMan
Legends 2 but that doesn't come until later. It took me a little bit to realize that the missions had multiple
stages, except four; but once I realized I made sure to complete every single mission there was in the
game. My favorite kind of missions in the game were the action stages and I found the concept of the
game quite intriguing and I saw it as very interesting to choose any of three gameplay styles to earn
zenny. I usually had the first 8 Servbots with me due to the fact you could only train those at first (I later
saw that I gained the ability to train them but at that point I figured it didn't matter). It was fun just
hanging out with them and seeing all the funny things they had to say. I never chose a favorite Servbot
but I wanted them all to be treated equally. I still tortured them if they got lazy. The poor guys. Anyway
once I got to the final mission it defaulted to #1 as the favorite because I never chose one. That was an
awesome boss fight Glyde had even if he was really hard to dodge. I was especially glad to help Tiesel
and Bon escape and when I got to the final boss and saw his health bar I was like "Holy moly, that health
bar doesn't even fit on the screen." It was an awesome boss fight but I believe Glyde's was a little more
epic.
I was impressed with Tron's Misadventures and after I beat it I went straight to MegaMan Legends 1.
The first thing I noticed about it was that Mega Man Volnutt was far less clanky than the Gustaff which I
was happy about. I didn't use the lock-on much in MegaMan 1 and Tron's Misadventures because of how
you couldn't move while locked-on with the exceptions of jump-shots. Anyway I found the story of the
game to be quite good; the characters charming and hilarious, especially the Bonnes; and the gameplay
was still very good. Kattlelox Island was a very nice place to be and I like how all the ruins were
connected by underground tunnels. The final boss, MegaMan Juno, was just plain epic. He was very both
very challenging and very fun to face against. I feel phase 2 of his boss fight was easier than phase 1
though. Although I watched the entire MegaMan Legends Lets Play first, when I first saw Data was the
real hero in the game I was stunned. It was something I never expected at all. Even though I knew it was
coming the thought was still a bit mind-blowing.

I got MegaMan Legends 2 as soon as it came out on PSN. I tried getting it earlier but it was too expensive
on ebay. However, while MegaMan Legends 2 had better controls after customization I still had a very
tough time with it. That might be because shortly after the intro I got an A class license. It was definitely
harder than Legends 1 and I got stuck on it many times. I was trapped in the Saul Kada ruins for 6 months
before I realized that I was close enough to the entrance to go up and get a refill in my energy canteen so I
may actually survive it.

But I digress. The story was definitely well-thought out and well-constructed. Once I got the last key that
when everything hit the fan and the story went in full swing. The final dungeon was excellent and the
final boss was epic, even though it took me three days to beat her. I had the Arm Shield with me and it
worked well against her energy attacks. It was definitely a good thing I found out her black holes were
harmless by themselves. I already knew that MegaMan Legends 2 had a cliffhanger ending thanks to
Facebook but that's all I knew. It took me a little bit to figure out why they couldn't get off of Elysium but
I'm pretty sure I got it now. (Now that I think about it did Data steal their ship during the boss fight?
Actually, that seems to be making perfect sense but I could be wrong.)

So, in conclusion, while I'm not sure it was the Mega Man I was trying to find from my childhood, I still
find the Legends game really fun, unique, well-written, and extraordinary. Many people including myself
want to see Legends 2's cliffhanger resolved. That's why we need Legends 3; to get Mega Man Volnutt
off the moon and relieve the fans, Roll, and Tron of his safety!

- Jeremiah Ellison
Megaman Legends has always been a game close to my heart, and since the tragic cancellation of
Megaman Legends 3, I have been waiting patiently for the project to be restarted and the game green lit.

When I first picked up the original Megaman Legends I really had no preconceived notion what a 3D
Megaman would be like. But once I crashed onto that island and began exploring, my gaming experience
quickly became much deeper than with any of the previous Megaman games I had ever played. There was
simply too much to do, and too much to see. I couldn't clear it in one attempt like I could the Classic or X
games. I wanted to spend whole afternoons exploring the sub gates for hidden weapons, items, and
refractors, soaking in the simultaneous creepy and enthralling ambiance. Above all, the characters were
what left the greatest impression with me. Teisels wacky bluster and charisma, the Servbots endearing
awkwardness, and of course my personal favorite character, Miss Tron and her sadly as of yet unreturned
crush on Megaman, which more often than not resulted in her trying to crush him literally. Even minor
characters, like the museum curator, the sick girl, or the mayor, were all engaging, and completing their
tasks felt rewarding.

The second game gave me everything I wanted from the first and more. More great dungeons, more
interesting characters, like Klaymoor and Bola, and of course the return of the Bonnes. The spread out
environments allowed for a sense of greater adventure, like I was truly exploring distant dungeons that
had never been touched in centuries. The story cliffhangs about as hard as any story ever did, and after
defeating Mother Unit Sera, the mystery of Megaman Triggers origin, the Master System, and the
explanation of how the world became as it is, was left for when Megaman got off the moon. Of course, I
would be left waiting for that for quite some time.

Megaman Legends deserves a new entry, more than any other Capcom series. I have such a deep felt
affection for the characters and story of the flooded world of Megaman Legends, that despite the
cancellation, I have never once stopped hoping and waiting.

- David Mason
Megaman Legends matters to me for making my childhood just that much better. Regardless if the bills
got too expensive, if my juvenile rheumatoid arthritis was flaring up, the floorboards were rising under
water pressure and my old home in Posen Illinois was literally falling apart due to poor construction, my
grandma was going nuts and starting arguments or calling me fat for having a slightly round belly,
Legends was one of many escapes I had from any drama and one of many hobbies I had at my disposal
that made much of my childhood a joy. I loved the cheesy voice acting, the soothing Apple Market theme,
the direction of the cut scenes, the sheer variety the gameplay offered, everything about it was a welcome
departure from the norm. And like many, the first I got to experience from beginning to end as opposed to
getting stuck in the middle for years due to difficulty spikes. My sister and I would play until midnight
with her Backstreet Boys albums blaring for most of the ride except for the charming cut scenes. To this
day Megaman Legends 1 is my number 1 top favorite PS1 game of all time, only by proxy that I have not
bought or played the second game or Misadventures of Tron Bonne yet. One day you will be mine rest of
the series!
Megaman Legends 3 needs to come back because there's hardly a reason not to. Times have changed
since 1997. A niche series like Legends would do much better now especially with optional Monster
Hunter controls, than it ever did back in the day with tank controls, and because of the sheer publicity the
cancellation and controversy have received the past 5 years as of this message. It would be a great PR
decision, it would likely rake in even more money than the original PS1 classics, and as long as it's as
amazing as the old trailers look, it doesn't stray too far away from the originals in terms of gameplay and
retains our old ideas we flooded the Devroom with and the old characters and story originally planned
before the cancellation, people will be happy with it. A majority of those boycotting Capcom will cease
their boycott. Not that I'm one of them. The buzz would be tremendous.
So please Capcom, reinstate the Megaman Legends 3 project, release the Prototype edition, get to work
on the full version and bring us the game we've wanted for over 18 years and counting.

--Sincerely, Orion Ake. AKA Handlebar-Orion X.

Hello guys! My name is Victor Galvo and

I'm from Brazil. I'm here to show some
international love towards the series and to
shout out: LEGENDS NEVER DIE!

Well, I've always loved Mega Man in

general as long as I can remember. But then,
suddenly, I heard about a 3D Mega Man
game in a total 3D environment. I played
and did not understand a single thing, but
that Blue Boy without a helmet and with a
fire extinguisher in his arm kinda made me
fall in love with that snowy land and not
knowing what to do at all. But the controls
kinda bugged me, I couldn't figure out how
to walk properly! I did not have the chance to play again, but the memory never faded away.
But when I was older I had the opportunity to play the first one for the first time and I learned how to
walk and shoot and oh boy, did that game blow my mind. I instantly fell in love with Kattelox, every
single character, even extras and I didn't know how to stop playing that game, helping people out,
exploring creepy dungeons and seeing that amazing story unfold.

I played, I played again, I upgraded all the weapons (oh, that sweet weapon system), and I felt that
Legends was all I needed at the time. But I gave the other games a chance (sequel and prequel) and every
single one of them was mind-blowing again and again.
How could I not love all the characters? How could I not feel attached by Tron trying to save her family,
not feel responsible for finding Roll's parents, not feel the urge to explore all kind of places uncovering
secrets of a mysterious ancient civilization and the plot twists of Mother Yuna!
How could I not have FUN with these games?
I don't know to this day. And I play every year at least the first one. The memories, now more than ever,
never fade away. Heck, I even
game master a Rockman
DASH fan tabletop RPG! I
made the system changes to
suit the Legends universe
myself! The campaign is still
going and I've never had so
much fun in any other RPG
that I GM'd or played.
All of the Mega Man series'
are very important to me, but
Legends take the biggest
piece of the cake. The
universe is so unique, the
story so grand and the
characters so... close.
And to have access to all of this I just had to learn how to walk.

Capcom, please, we are not waiting for a sequel just to play it. We want to know what happened to these
characters. Every friend wants to know if his friends are doing fine. My friend Trigger is stuck on the
moon. I need to know if he's doing fine, if his sister Roll is alright and even if his friend Tron is planning
something to help him. I don't want to keep this pain of not knowing if they are alright.
Give me good news, Capcom.
Give us all hope.

- Victor Galvao

PS: Attached to this message is a drawing that I made quickly just for this, a drawing of our characters in
my fan tabletop RPG and a picture of my LEGO Volnutt. He makes my days more legendary.
Hello,

My name is Seth and I've been playing Megaman games for most of my life. I've enjoyed every entry of
this beloved character but in my opinion the best is the Legends Series. I remember when my parents
came home with the original Megaman Legends and was awe-struck by the openness of this great game.
It was one of the first games I'd ever got where I just wanted to explore every crack and building in any
given area. Megaman Legends 2 is one of my favorite games of all time. Just the idea of going on another
adventure to find the Mother Lode got my friends and I excited. I also bought and enjoyed the
Misadventures of Tron Bonne as well.

I was looking forward to the 3rd numbered installment and almost bought the Nintendo 3DS just for this
title when it was cancelled. This left a hole in my heart and stomach. The adventure is not complete.

When all 3 installments of the Legends series came back on PSN I purchased all of them. I was proud that
I had them digitally in my library for all my friends to see. I even got a few of my friends to buy them as
well.

Please reconsider your cancellation of Megaman Legends 3 or perhaps revitalize the series and start a
reboot. There are so many people that never got the chance to play this gem of a series and I think if you
give the right team the job the sky is the limit. Or in this case the Moon. Please bring the Megaman
Legends series back.

Thank you for your time,

Seth Zentner

Please make Megaman Legends 3 come true! Megaman Legends is not only a game to me but it is also
part of my childhood! I remember playing this with my big bro and we had tons of fun. So now that we
are older, bringing back Megaman Legends would certainly make us scream like fan girls. I'm pretty sure
a lot of Megaman Legends fans will be delighted to see one of the best games in history resurface once
again. So please #BringBackMML3

Hi, my name is Ashley and I am 20 years old. When I was a kid my mom took me to the store to pick out
any game I wanted and for some strange reason I picked out Megaman Legends for my Playstation
having no idea what it was. Well after spending months playing it I ended up beating it and as soon as the
second one came out my mom bought

it for me as a surprise and as a kid I was so excited that I ended up sleeping with it beside me in my bed
that night and playing it as soon as I woke up. Me and my mom ended up playing these games for years
and years. When we heard that they cancelled the production of the 3rd one we were devastated because it
ended on a cliffhanger and deserves an ending. Those games were practically my childhood and I had
everyone from my mom, to my sister and even my cousin playing them. When I was 17 and got with my
boyfriend that I am still currently with I asked him if he knew about them and he pretty much told me he's
heard of them but never played them so we sat down and played them together. We now have a daughter
who is 2 and when she gets older I would love to show her these games because they mean that much to
me. So, to sum this up Megaman Legends deserves a final ending because the fans would do anything for
it and our fan base is bigger than I myself even thought. So please, just finish it for the sake of us, because
I can guarantee that you would make a hefty profit from it. And to the creators of "100,000 Strong for
Bringing Back Mega Man Legends 3" on Facebook, thank you so much for all the effort you put into that
page for this game. I grew up with this game and it means so much to me. So even if Capcom decides that
they don't want to continue the series they can't say we didn't try. You guys are awesome and keep up the
good work, you have my support!!

- Ashley Gunter

Mega Man Legends is one of the greatest series of all

time! As a child in 2001 I was given a copy of Mega Man
Legends 2, and to this day there has never been another
game with such an amazing gift for storytelling,
unbeatable graphics, on-point voice acting, an incredible
cast of characters that will forever be the greatest cast in a
video game series, and do we even need to talk about how
fantastic the power up system is! It is the worst crime in
gaming that this awesome story has never been
concluded. There are a great many of us who have been
waiting for over 15 years now to re-join Mega Man, Roll,
Tron, Data, and the rest of the Mega Man Legends gang
for another epic adventure. We're still waiting Capcom!
And we're not going anywhere anytime soon!

GMOTM, I've sent pics of some of my collection, and a

hand drawn piece of fan art! Thank you guys for all
you've done to get this series revived!

- Mason Jandreau
I think MegaMan Legends deserves a sequel because the story is not done. There are too many questions
left unanswered, too many characters who haven't reached the end of their journey. MegaMan Legends
was among the first MegaMan games I ever played. I loved everything about it. The story, making your
armor and weapons, delving deep into ancient ruins, and discovering the who's and why's of the series'
biggest mythos. I am a huge fan of storytelling. Graphics matter little to me and gameplay is only a small
part of the fun. To truly make a great game, you need a great story that will keep the player yearning for
more. Legends did that for me. After finishing the first game years ago, I impatiently awaited the coming
of MegaMan Legends 2 and just like its predecessor, it did not disappoint. New characters, new enemies,
new Legends. However, like a TV series with little funding, MegaMan Legends 2 ends in a cliffhanger
that has left a void in its world. A void that needs to be filled, a story that needs to be written. A legend
that needs to be told. Once more, I whole-heartedly believe that MegaMan Legends 3 needs to see the
light of day for this wonderful tale to reach its true ending. Please, get Mega Man off the moon.

A long time fan:

Kristopher Fanning
I could name many reasons Mega Man Legends 2 deserves a sequel. Its unique gameplay. Its fun art style
and graphics. Its ambitious story. Its many MANY secrets, references, and homages. Its complete twist on
the tropes and stereotypes that both adorn and plague the prior "traditional" Mega Man titles. And, most
of all, its incompleteness.
But above all those things, the reason the Mega Man Legends series deserves its third true installment is
because of the faith and dedication of its fans who grew up with MegaMan Volnutt. Even while born in
'85 and being exposed to all the original Mega Man games that came out, classic and X alike, nothing
truly grabbed my attention like the first Legends game. The atmosphere, the in-game animations, even the
voice acting! This was a great first step into the sort of gameplay that's been popularized by many
developers today. And while we want to say this was because of the vision of one man who wanted to
give his fans a love-letter of the future for Mega Man, this could not be anything like the game it is
without the dedication, hard work, and pure PASSION of the rest of the dev team and crew who worked
tirelessly to make this dream a reality.
I think the dream is still not dead. Legends is not dead. Mega Man is not dead. They're just resting and
rejuvenating. The best thing we can do is keep cheering him on, showing him he's still important to us and
the gaming community, and wish him a speedy recovery!
And to his creator;
Don't let the Light go out on you, yet.

- Dustin "OZKai" Wilkinson

I did an illustration a few months ago (one you guys actually showcased) of Volnutt, along with his
forgotten brethren, the Elysians. I hope you will be kind enough to add this to the book, along with the
above letter! (I also added the pics I'll be adding for "Operation Network of Legends," just for good
measure!)
Hello GMOTM Team,

While the MegaMan Legends series was only introduced to me two years ago, I still feel like I should
write this. It's not possible for me to have even a modicum of the love for this game as people who've
loved these games since they first came out, but I believe I can at least try. I am still quite young, but I
feel that age doesn't matter when it comes to gems like MegaMan Legends. I've always preferred older
games over new-gen ones with lifelike graphics, so when I came across a copy of MegaMan Legends in
my big brother's attic, I felt inclined to give it a try.

After cleaning as much dust as I could from my old PlayStation, I popped in the disc and started playing.
Once the Capcom logo faded and the "now loading" message vanished, I was greeted with the same
opening cutscene as everyone else.

Skip forward a couple days. I've reached the fight with the Gesellschaft, and once I finally beat it (after
three tries), I realized that this game was definitely bumped to one of my favorites.

Later that night, I decide to hop on my computer to see if there were any sequels. I discovered there was a
MegaMan Legends 2 and 3. Immediately, I started browsing prices for both of them. While there were
plenty for Legends 2, I noticed there wasn't a three. Spoilers had never been much of a big deal to me in
the past, so I Googled "MegaMan Legends 3."

What I found was that the third game was in production in 2010, but was canned in 2011. At first I didn't
think much of it. Big game companies cancel lots of their games, so it wasn't that surprising. But after
seeing the ending to Legends 2, I felt lost. MegaMan Volnutt was just left on the moon, and there wasn't a
third game to finish the story.

I craved an
ending. I needed
it. Cliffhangers
always make
someone want to
see what happens
next, and no one
had known how
this story ends for
fourteen whole
years! (Now it's
sixteen years.)

Enraged, I
returned to my
computer and
searched for "MegaMan Legends 3'' again. Then I came across "100,000 Strong for Bringing Back Mega
Man Legends 3" on Facebook. Without hesitation, I liked and followed the group.

Two years later, and it's still burning just as bright as it was before. We still don't have a Legends 3, but
with the recent release of both Legends titles and Misadventures Of Tron Bonne on PSN, hopefully
awareness will have been raised. I haven't bought any of the games from PSN, because my PS3 conked
out and I haven't gotten a new one, because I have a PS4.

Sixteen years is quite a stretch, but anything is possible, so long as your will is stronger than anything that
makes you want to give up and move on. You, reader, have that willpower, because you support Legends
3, even after all these long years. This is why Legends 3 needs to be made. To give the loyal fans like you
and I an ending to the story that has left its hero on the moon, separated from his friends and family.

On another note, I drew a picture of Volnutt a year ago. It's very crude and low-quality, but I certainly put
passion into it, and provided the highest-quality picture my potato computer can produce.

Sincerely, Your Loyal Supporter,

TJ Stroad.

Hello,

I know the Mega Man Legends franchise deserves another installment from seeing the effect
the first two and The Misadventures of Tron Bonne had on my friend. I have rarely heard him speak so
fondly before of a game series that made him smile. I also played through the games and found that
although they were a bit rough around the edges, they were excellent titles with a broad spectrum of
characters. The story was also great. My friend and I would be ecstatic to see another installment in this
series.

Sincerely,

Connor V.
Honestly, it's been an insane time for the Mega Man franchise. A downright insulting one as well.

With Mighty #9 simply existing and the core series coming closer and closer to being a forgotten relic, it's
kind of a scary age for Mega Man.

However, I noticed that amongst the deletion at Capcom, a certain MegaMan Legends 3 was canceled and
I honestly can't see why that is today.

Even as the series is kinda forgotten, it's clear that Legends has a very vocal fanbase and many dedicated
fans, willing to repeatedly buy merchandise and support it long after it's cancelation, so I can't help but
wonder why Capcom stays adamant in keeping it canceled.

It was basically complete and ready to even send out its first demo, yet they pulled the plug on it.

That's basically a huge waste of money for the company. They turned down what would have been a very
profitable game.

I may not be that huge on Legends due to the controls and whatnot, but I do want to have the game series
be updated to the modern standards and improve the image of MegaMan as a whole, and MML3 will be a
proud start for that

- Drew Finn

Dear Capcom,

First off, I just wanted to thank you for bringing all the games from the Mega Man Legends series
(Mega Man Legends, The Misadventures of Tron Bonne, and Mega Man Legends 2) to the PSN store. I
and all Mega Man fans really appreciate you giving this underrated series a chance to be played by fans
both new and old. Thank You.

Mega Man Legends is easily my favorite video game series. Period. No other game that I have
ever played has given me such a strong connection the games world as Mega Man Legends does. Every
character is super likable and are so charismatic with each other. The games are so immersive; I really
feel like Im blindly traversing through an ancient ruin. Everything about these game just clicks together
so perfectly.

I imagine you can see where I am going with this.

The initial announcement of Mega Man Legends 3 was an incredibly joyful moment for me. At
the time it was announced, I had just gotten the first game and was looking for the second one to buy. I
practically leapt out of my chair in excitement at the prospect of my favorite game series continuing. I
followed the MML3 Dev Room blog every day, thoroughly reading every post, eagerly awaiting the
game's release. I remember how the hype for the game was felt throughout the entire community, Mega
Man Legends 3 was often on lists of most anticipated Nintendo 3DS games. It was a good time to be a
Mega Man fan.

So, as you can imagine, I was crushed to see the game was cancelled. It was such a shame to see
all that hard work the community and the developers put in the game was now gone. It was a very
personal project for many of us in the community. We felt like we were part of something great. A great
moment in video game history was being made. It has been about 5 years since the cancellation. Im sure
you hear this all the time, but I think you should revive Mega Man Legends 3.

I realize it may seem risky, but the original Mega Man Legends games have been more and more
well received as time goes on. Many now consider the series to be some of the best games on the
PlayStation. If money seems like an issue, I feel that a crowdfunding campaign would solve that.
Shenmue 3s record-breaking Kickstarter campaign is proof enough that audiences are interested in
seeing their favorite games continue. In fact, I would even bet that a Mega Man Legends 3 crowdfundin g
campaign could shatter Shenmues record!

The Mega Man franchises 30 anniversary is just around the corner, and what better way to
celebrate than by reviving MML3 like so many people want. There are so many questions that have not
been answered. Like does Roll get both her parents back? Who or what are the Elders? Who is Barret? In
the end, I think I speak for all Mega Man fans when I say that all we really want is closure.

Again, thank you for bringing the Mega Man Legends series to PSN so it can be enjoyed by
everyone.

Best of luck,

Adam
I'm supposed to write about "why Mega Man Legends deserves a sequel," but I think the proper
question should be, why not?

No Mega Man series has given me so special feelings towards it other than Legends. I love the whole
Mega Man franchise, but Legends is so particular that it stands out as something that, even if we were to
rename it as something other than Mega Man, it would still sound credible.

Not also extended that consideration to the series as a whole? The Mega Man games hold a special place
in my heart. The Legends series in particular stand out to me the most. I believe that even if we were to
rename the title as something other than Mega Man, it would still stand strong.

My first experience with Legends happened back in 2006, when I was still a primary school student.
Frankly, as kid I had never played an action-adventure game before so I was taken by surprise by how
aggressive Reaverbots and the bone machines were in the game. This experience almost gave me a couple
heart attacks. Literally.

The more I played, the more I wanted experience the world. Keiji Inafune and his team have created an
extraordinary universe. The characters are interesting and deep, the storyline is engaging and fit perfectly
with the esthetic of the world where ancient and modern technologies met.

So when I saw the more recent concept artwork for legends 3 it gave me more chills when I looked at the
recently shared concept arts, which made me wonder how much that man has conceived for this series.
Such ideas surely didn't come effortlessly; the brilliant artwork shows us just how much time and love
this man has put into his creation.

Five years have passed, Capcom. I've turned from a high school student to a grown adult. There are those,
too, who have married. Yet our support for Legends has never died. Given Papa Inafune's effort and our
everlasting love and support, although we were very hopeful, we still question why there isn't an
opportunity for this game to shine again. Still I thank you for bringing us Legends; So please keep on
doing it. Bring Legends back. Let it live on.

I just want to say that Megaman Legends has been one of my favorite games of all time and would be a
fantastic franchise to make a come back. I use Mega Man Volnutt on nearly all of my avatars and when I
started doing Let's Play videos, MML was my first one :)

In a time so full of dark and gritty games, I would love to see the bright and colorful world, especially one
that could be shared with a younger generation. MML had a fantastic world that peaked our imaginations
and made us eager to explore more. So many untold stories with an unlimited, untapped potential.

I would like to thank Capcom for making great colourful games and for being a beautiful part of my
childhood. The Megaman Legends series are very memorable to me and its stories always brings me
positive energy. The comedy, the love triangle, the art graphics, and the plot twists in the story, I really
love these unique aspects of the game. This experience encourages me to feel motivation enough to take
on game development so that one day I can create colourful and unique fun games as well.

After I heard the game was coming out as a demo. I decided to buy a 3DS is just for this game But sadly,
the project was cancelled. you guys nearly made me cry. But I have deep hope for this project and I will
continue to wait. I think the story deserves better ending, than just being stuck on the moon, instead Id
like to discover the secrets origin of ruins and go on adventure together with my favorite characters once
again. Megaman Volnutt deserves better than this. This game series deserves better than this.

Sincerely,
Nate

Megaman Legends was my childhood. I had played this game

so much and it was filled with so many memories. The
characters were so beloved even the antagonists the Bonnes.
The atmosphere and setting of the game was unique. There
were not many games like it. The music was incredible as
were many of the boss battles. I was devastated when
legends 3 was cancelled. Since a kid I have wanted to know
how Megaman's story was going to end. Legend's has always
been my favorite Megaman series. I never really got into any
other series. I grew up with the game and it would mean a lot
to me if Capcom could finish it. I wanted to see my two
favorite characters Tron and Megaman again. I wanted to see
if Tron was ever going to admit her feelings towards
Megaman. I had never gotten to play Tron's game until
recently and I loved every moment of it. However, it made me
very sad knowing there was no Legends 3. From a veteran
Legends player Capcom I hope that you reconsider the project
one day. You have thousands of dedicated fans like me and
many others who have been fighting for this game for years.
Please listen to us the game would be a tremendous success.

BRING VOLNUTT HOME HE HAS SO MANY BABIES TO TAKE CARE OF.
Kittens aside, Legends has been a big part of my life. It was my first Mega Man game! I was a SEGA girl
growing up, so when the PS1 launched, that's when I got my first taste of Mega Man.
Out of all the Mega Man games I've played though, Legends by far has the most heart poured into it, and
what Mega Man fans need these days is some heart.
Legends 3 is the heart the gaming community needs right now.

Dear Capcom,

I may not have followed the Megaman Legends 3 project all that closely during its development cycle, but
when I heard of its sudden cancellation, I took it quite heavily. This series, in particular Legends 2, was
quite nostalgic for me. Its the only one of the games I had played in my earlier childhood, and in my
opinion, its the best out of the saga thus far.

When I wrote reviews of the two Legends games for my blog

(http://strawberrydragonproject.blogspot.com/...), I gave the first Legends a score of 75%, and scored
Legends 2 at 90%. I especially enjoyed the varied and unique environments, the more detailed graphics,
and the new lock-on aiming system. At the same time, however, it still had room for improvement
itself, mainly in how the lock-on system doesnt always pick the target you want. Weve learned so much
about 3D action games since Legends 2 was released in 2000, that could have been applied to make an
even better sequel.

But more than anything, this is a matter of trust. I, and many others, lost our trust in you and your brand
after you made a promise to revive the Legends series, only to break that promise so suddenly. I dont
know if you have been focusing so much on making short-term profits from the Japanese home market,
but there are many more people out there who would buy Legends 3 in a heartbeat. As a member of the
100,000 Strong for Bringing Back Mega Man Legends 3 movement, I have witnessed support for our
cause from all over the world, with members hailing from nations like Malta and Bahrain. The network of
social media has brought us together by our common interests and our wishes, all for a good cause, and
that in and of itself makes me feel a little better about humanity as a whole.

But thats not enough. We have been raising our collective voices for five years now, and deserve some
sort of recognition for our efforts. That is why I appeal to you, Capcom. Resume development on
Megaman Legends 3. Put the Prototype version out for sale on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. Make amends
with Keiji Inafune if you have to. The Japanese video game industry may be fading into irrelevance,
compared to the golden years of a few decades ago, but if you were to earn our trust again, you may just
reverse that trend and rekindle the magic of the video games I grew up with.

Thank you for listening to us.

Legends never die.

Sincerely,
Kevin M.

P.S. I have also made videos based on the Legends and Legends 2 reviews I mentioned earlier, and drew
my own title artwork for those videos. The titlecard for my Legends review, based on a scene from
Raiders of the Lost Ark, was based on an observation I made comparing MegaMan Volnutt to a shonen
robo-punk anime version of Indiana Jones. But for Legends 2, I went for something more evocative.
Apart from an homage to Star Wars, where Luke Skywalker -- or in this case Roll Caskett -- gazes off
into the desert sunset, I chose this scene to represent the patient determination of not only Roll herself, but
all of us fans, who have been waiting for MegaMan to return from the cliffhanger ending of Legends 2
and back into our worlds.

My reason for what I want Megaman Legends return:

Ive been a Megaman fan girl for a long time. Ever since I was a little 5 year old I used to watch my big
brother play the NES games. Seeing him really made me fall in love with the series so much that ever
since I wanted to play the games myself, including the Mega Man Legends games.

when I first saw Megaman 64 at first I thought it looked odd since it was a huge departure from what we
were used to when the franchise focused on 2d platformers, but nevertheless this series grew on me and I
thought it too was interesting and pretty. Once I got to play it, I could not stop playing. I even replayed it
for the PS1, from there I also played Megaman Legends 2 and Misadventures of Tron Bonne. I played
these games every afternoon, I really liked progressing in the story, while exploring all the areas in the
game to get all the items and weapons. It was so much fun, especially when seeing new characters and
new challenges.

The day I heard about Mega Man Legends 3 being released I was so thrilled and I wanted to join the
Devroom but then I was so sad when the project was cancelled. I thought it was unfair because the
Legends series deserve so much love like the other Mega man franchises. I strongly believe that Legends
3 deserves an opportunity to tell its story because there is so much to exploring yet to be done. Everyone
wants this game so much, and they all miss Megaman, Roll, Tron and the Bone family. There so much
from Barrett, Aero, and the bright bats.

So please Capcom make the series come back. Let Megaman return to Terra. We are still eagerly waiting.

Asking me why I love Megaman Legends is a hard question, because to be honest I can't put my finger on
why I love this game series so much. There's so many different reasons to like these games, and telling
you why these games are great is quite the task, but I'll give it a shot and tell you why you should play
these games. Let me start at the beginning, when I was about six years old I went over to my neighbor's
house to play video games, one of those games was Megaman 64. Now when I first played it as a little kid
I thought it was okay, nothing to special and that was that. I always remembered Mega Man 64 for years
and years, until just a couple years ago.

Now at this time in my life was bored with most modern games. I wasn't interested in playing the new
Nintendo games, Sony games and, Microsoft games I thought they were all boring and generic, so I
decided I would play some older games. You know Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Nintendo
Entertainment System and of course Nintendo 64. It was a blast playing my old games, but those old
games also became stale and boring for me. I needed something different, a game that I haven't beaten a
million times before and that's when my friend told me he was selling Megaman 64. I thought to myself
that's exactly what I needed, I always liked Megaman games, I loved the classic Megaman games along
with the Megaman X series and I hadn't really played Megaman 64 legitimately, the last time I played it
was with my neighbor's house, and I had only played it for about five minutes.

What did have to lose he was selling it for only five dollars, and I wanted a new game so I bought it from
him and that's where my love for Mega Man Legends began. I put the cartridge into my old Nintendo 64
and started playing, Immediately as soon as the Title screen appeared I knew I was in for something
different and I was excited. I watched the first cutscene and thought it was okay sure it didn't look the best
and the voice acting was pretty cheesy, but there was something about it that I just found charming and
special, something that a game hadn't done for me in a while. The game felt like an adventure for me, I
felt like was actually exploring ancient ruins and discovering lost treasures, Megaman 64 awoke that
sense of childhood wonder something that most games failed to give me. I kept playing and playing, I
didn't want to stop playing I was hooked. Everyday after school that's all I would do is play Megaman 64,
I felt like I was eight years old again, where all I wanted to do was play video games and go on
adventures. After a week I finally beat it and it was official, I loved the Mega Man Legends series. I
remember my little brother making fun of me and saying that the game was terrible and I wasted my
money, but that didn't stop me from playing I was in love with it.

After I beat the first one I was hungry for more Megaman Legends and I wanted it right now. Then I
looked up the prices for the other games and got a bit discouraged. They were pretty pricey especially The
Misadventures of Tron Bonne, that price tag hurt me the most because Tron Bonne is one of my
favourite characters in video games, heck Tron Bonne is one of my favourite characters out of any work
of fiction. Any how all I could think about was those games and how I would probably never be able to
afford them....that's when it happened. Tron Bonne was released to the Sony Playstation Network and I
went nuts. I didn't own a Playstation 3 at the time so I saved up and bought a used one, just for The
Misadventures of Tron Bonne alone. After that I bought a physical version of Megaman Legends 2 (this
was before it was on PSN, it was even before the first game was on PSN) My friend lent me his
playstation and I fell in love with the rest of the games, just like I did with the first game.

One of the biggest reasons I love these games is because of the character designs and art. I just loved how
the characters looked, it was very unique and really stood out from all the other games I was playing. Not
just the design of the characters either the personalities of these characters Megaman Volnutt, Roll
Caskett, Barrell Caskett, Data, The Bonnes, Megaman Juno, Appo Dah and Shu, Lex Loath, Glyde and,
The Servbots. They were all fantastic and memorable, the cast of this series was hilarious and sad at the
same time. I always remember feeling sad about Tron Bonne and how she loves Mega Man but doesn't
know how to control her feelings about him, and ends up lashing out at the boy she has a crush on. The
art of Mega Man always inspired me, and I developed a lot of my art style around Megaman. Megaman
Legends then inspired me greatly even more so than before and I started to base a lot of my character
designs around the characters of Mega Man Legends

These games mean a lot to me all three of them are in my top 10 favourite games of all time, sure there
not the greatest games ever, but there is something so special and charming about these games that I just
can't help but love. The art, the characters, the setting, the atmosphere, the exploring, the gameplay, the
music, the story, the voice acting all of this stuff combines together and creates Mega Man Legends one
of the most unique, charming and, inspiring games I have ever played, if you haven't played these give
them a shot, you won't find anything else like it. I love these games, I base a lot of my art style and
character designs around these games and I wanna complete that love. These games have so much going
for them that they deserve a conclusion, they deserve a proper send off. Capcom make it happen, bring
back Mega Man Legends......Bring Back Mega Man Legends 3

-Chatman
Hello, I almost want to start by apologizing for being quiet for so long. And what I mean is, I have
desired to be a name or a face in the Mega Man community for over fifteen years. But I've always
watched from afar quiet and patient. I honestly believed that it was so niche and unheard of, that people
didn't really care about Mega Man anymore for that matter the "Legends" series. And then one day,
unexpectedly I heard that Inafune wanted to release a third installment in the series. I thought it a fluke at
first but I figured, "hey, it could happen!" As I started to look into it, I became optimistic. And a little
nervous. This wasn't just any Mega Man... This was MY Mega Man! THIS IS HAPPENING! 2011 was
going pretty good for me anyway, I got married, got moved in a nice house, Archie released the Mega
Man comic. The D-Arts and Kotobukiya kits had also just launched, what could go wrong!? I started
online shopping for a 3DS, confident of how I would be spending my spare time for the next decade.
Ecstatic and emotional, I started to follow the progress very closely. To the point that it got obsessive. :/
Mostly because I couldn't believe what I was seeing, fan projects, live updates, prototype version!? And
here I thought I was all alone in my fan hood. So I came home from work one day to find that the project
was struggling... And my long time idol and hero was leaving the company. Why? I don't understand.
(Pause) I think I started to cry that day. I'm not kidding. WHY!? I probably sounded like a spoiled brat!
LOL! And you know what? I just blocked it out, I gave up. I said, "To hell with it." This franchise seemed
doomed anyway. And then you guys happened. A Facebook page, a fan project, the rocket launch,
Inafune's launch of Comcept, more and more people coming together and showing a visible and real
interest in something I literally believed I was one of the only people to appreciate. And I just can't stay
hidden anymore. Here I am. I'm your guy. I'm the guy who loved every inch, every square, every pixel of
a series so obscure and so unusual that it barely registers a blip on the radar anymore.

You see, this series is so much more than just a game to me, it's like... It's almost like a religion! I know
that sounds crazy but I find myself implementing it into everything I do, from daily tasks to remembering
things. My sense of direction, my need to explore, how I save money. Even my social life and learning to
forgive the "Bonnes" in life, 'cause even pirates are people right? I was starting to fall in love with the
Mega Man franchise in general as a teenager in the 90's because of its vibrant colors and cool music. A
friend told me about Rockman Neo and how it was going to change everything about 3D gaming from
locking onto enemies to RPG situations where you interact with others to progress in an almost "sandbox"
environment. It took me a minute to grasp all of what he was saying but once THE Legends/DASH title
was actually IN my PlayStation and I was playing it my jaw had dropped! I didn't own a Nintendo 64 as a
teen, not 'till years later. I asked for a PlayStation as I had become loyal to the Mega Man games. Oh no,
don't get me wrong, I love and own an unhealthy library of games ranging from the 70's to all that jazz we
play nowadays! I just LOVE Mega Man. So as time went by I typically followed whatever console it
flourished on. (Which was almost everything.) Now I'm 32 and have a six week old baby boy. I own at
least one version of every Mega Man released in the U.S. And some Rockman titles too. I'm seasoned,
veteran to the series and beating any Mega Man on the NES is a cakewalk to say the least at this point.
But even after all these years and all these great titles, (and the weird ones,) I would set aside any time,
pay whatever price or buy whatever hardware I needed if I thought it would bring Mega Man Trigger
closer to home. I've never been more intrigued by a story than the one in this series. Could you imagine
waking up with a scrambled memory in a world where only islands and the scars of a forgotten past
remain? Your only means of survival are scavenging and searching tirelessly for something you barely
understand because it's valuable? (Actually, that sounds like trying to find a copy of this game.) Anyway,
what I mean is you learn a sense of value, grateful for simple things like family, you help a little girl in a
hospital, rebuild towns, make things out of junk, fix a boat! Or you can be a JERK! Kick drink machines,
lie, be a Hippopotamus, you don't care, you're a rebel! And your choices have outcomes, just like life. In
Tron's game you learn just how desperate people can be when money's at stake, was it worth it Teasel?
These are age old lessons that are shared in a light-hearted fun manner anyone can enjoy proving a
timeless adventure that would hold up in any decade weather it was ten years ago, 2011 or right this
instant. We may be a niche crowd or a small group. Or we may be bigger than you think. But we fans and
gamers showing interest deserve a sequel! Even if it's not the best selling blockbuster franchise in history,
there are people who WANT to see this game! The first two are accessible on PSN so people can go back
and see what it's all about! It's time to move forward in a story that's all about moving forward! Why
make Mega Man Legends 3 and ending? This could be the beginning of something so big, that the world
never need fear of running out of entertainment! I mean let's do this thing! Who knows? If they slap a
label on it and call it a day maybe fans will stop pestering Capcom so much!

Back in the old days my friends and me used to throw a week long event at my house called Dash Days,
no joke! We would play all three games taking turns, draw fan art and come up with some crazy fan
stories and wild theories about being connected to the X series years before ever actually hearing about it.
We made posters decorations and well, we really loved this game. I would love to throw a reunion party
after all these years where we all whip out the 3DS or whatever and talk about how astonishing and
wonderful it is to finally play Mega Man Legends 3. Wouldn't that be nice? Plus my little boy's gonna
want to know what happened to that blue guy when he gets old enough to play.

I already sent a message on Twitter showing my purchase of the PSN titles on my PSP, but I will
enclose another image just for good measure. There's a portion of my collection regarding the (Legends)
series in the image as well. There's a soundtrack from the first game not pictured as it is in storage at the
moment. I will also send some fan art from way back when if I can find it in an additional email/emails
just for fun. (Mind you it's really dated.) I'm not really worried about the raffle (despite everything in it is
awesome) as much as I just want whomever sees this letter to understand the desire to play MML3 still
stands for myself and a lot of people. I can only hope it helps put that blip on their radar again. Thank you
MML3 community for helping me open my eyes again and showing me that there's still hope for MY
Mega Man!

-Red Neo
Dear Capcom.

It's just one Megaman fan, but I wanted to express my feelings for the Megaman franchise, especially the
X series, that got me into the whole Megaman universe.

I remember my first Megaman game was Megaman X5 on the PC. It wasn't from the store, I don't know
how we got the game, but I remember my first time playing it. At the time, I didn't get the story at all, but
I remember having fun. I played with my brother; he always picked X, and I chose Zero all the time. I
think the very first time I started the game I picked Zero, because he looked so cool. :) Years passed. I
hadn't played Megaman for a while, but one day I just said: "Let's play some Megaman X!" So I
downloaded the game, I used an emulator because I didn't have an SNES or PS. There is something
special about these games that just leaves you charmed, and even if you stop playing Megaman, you
never really forget about it. To this day, I await the continuation of the Megaman games, whether it come
in the form of Megaman X9, Battle Network, or Megaman Legends 3. Heck, I'd even be happy if a new
series is announced.

I think there's still hope for the Blue Bomber.

Sincerely:

A Megaman fan.

Dear Capcom,

Like a fair amount of Megaman fans out there, I have been following the series for well over decade,
initially starting off with Megaman X on the SNES and years later I happened to find Megaman Legends
in a shop. Besides the now obscenely priced Legends, there was Battle & Chase; however, I could only
get one game that day and I'm forever grateful that I decided to acquire Legends first. Since it was the
first 3D Megaman there was no way for me to know what I should expect; however, I was in for one heck
of a ride.

I never expected to enjoy the game so much, from the exploration of the interconnecting ruins, special
weapon creation, crazy large boss fights which had me side rolling constantly, spending hours on mini
games to gather the almighty Zenny for
upgrades and many hilarious character
interactions often involving the Bonnes. I'll
never forget how much of an adventure it
felt like as you were travelling all around
Kattelox Island dealing with threats, helping
out those in need in the occasional side
quest or randomly being evil yourself! The
memory of walking through the City gates
after saving the day only to be greeted with
a tank still fills me with shock, it completely caught me off guard! Furthermore, getting hit by the moving
cars inside the city always made me cringe. Sure, jumping on top of them was a great way to travel
without the jet skates, but it wasn't without risks.

Legends 2 was another kettle of fish entirely as it gave us access to multiple locations in the world,
introduced us to a wide assortment of new characters and more of the comedic antics from the Bonne
family. In addition, it served up a juicy chunk of plot as it delved into the backstory of Roll's family and
how it intertwines with our protagonists and who can forget the moon, err cliff hanger ending...not us!
We fans are patient (as you can see) and will continue to support Megaman Legends for as long as it takes
to get a conclusion to this series, so please consider reviving the game.

Also, we appreciate the addition of Megaman Legends 1,2 and The Misadventures of
Tron Bonne onto the PSN, I know us fans have definitely jumped onto getting these gems
for such a reasonable price!
I'm still confused as to why Megaman Legends 3 was cancelled, it was the perfect opportunity to gauge
the market via the 3DS and fans were ready to show their support. This was the entire reason I bought the
handheld in the first place, needless to say I was not thrilled after hearing the news regarding the
cancellation besides after all the work put into the game (not to mention the Devroom) it seemed like such
a waste. If you don't think the game would be viable then you can always test the waters anytime with the
demo, I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised at the numbers should you consider this route.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Yours Sincerely,
Darren Wilson
The first time I played Mega Man Legends 2, I really got the feeling that there was a much bigger story
beneath the surface.

Legends 2 was a great example in storytelling of not just what to tell the audience, but also what NOT to
tell the audience. The mystery and intrigue I felt thinking about the world and the backstory to the
DASH universe must have been how the Diggers in the story felt when they would discover new treasures
and relics.

Even though it was a lighthearted Playstation game with low-poly graphics, the people and the world of
the DASH series felt very much alive. I could tell a lot of love had gone into the creation of these games,
and this is one of the reasons why the series sits at the top of my list of all time favourites!

So to Capcom, thanks for creating these fantastic games!

P.S: I'll be sure to pick up Mega Man Legends and Legends 2 on PSN again should they ever come to
Europe's digital store (and, er, Legends 3 if you ever get round to giving us that one! ;) )

Thanks again.

Mike Harley
In a world covered by endless water, I hope this letter finds you well...

My name is Adam, I live in a small town in Florida, and I've been gaming for over 20 years. The
first game I can recall playing was Super Street Fighter II Turbo. There was a skating rink not far from
where I lived, and they had a few arcade cabinets; Mortal Kombat, Super Street Fighter II Turbo, and
Rampage. I instantly fell in love with Street Fighter, and have been following the franchise ever since.

I was quite young at the time, and had only played a handful of games, so the name CAPCOM at
the beginning of the game really didn't mean much to me. But, as I got older I understood that most of my
favorite games, such as Street Fighter, Mega Man X, and Saturday Night Slam Masters, were all being
made by this Capcom company. So, I started following them. When I'd visit the local Block Buster
Video (yes, I'm that old) I would search for two things: anything made by Capcom, and any Mega Man
title I could get my hands on.

I absolutely loved the Mega Man franchise, particularly Mega Man X4 and Mega Man 8. I
distinctly remember, even after so many years, returning a copy of Mega Man 8 to the store and picking
up Mega Man Legends. I was blown away when I flipped it over and saw that it was 3D! Non-Stop 3-D
Action! Mega Man had been many things, but up until then, he had never been three-dimensional. It was
very exciting, to say the least.

I rented the game, and started playing as soon as I got home. I was overwhelmed by the colors,
the voice acting, the graphics, and nearly everything to do with Legends. However, the one thing I
couldn't understand was why Mega Man didn't have his trademark Charge Shot. I eventually figured out
that you could upgrade the Buster, and make Special Weapons. But it was still kind of strange to
somebody who had been playing Mega Man for years, and was used to certain staples.

As I made my way through the many ruins, meeting fascinating characters, and defeating some of
the most interesting enemies in the Mega Man franchise, I began to understand that this was not the Mega
Man I had known. This was a new Mega Man.

Many theories have filled my mind ever since I came to realize that the classic Mega Man, and
Mega Man Trigger, as well as Mega Man X are not the same person. I started out confused, but quickly
became intrigued. Why were there 3 Mega Mans? Or Mega Men? What happened to the first one, and
why did X also receive the name of Mega Man? For that matter, where did Voulnut fall into all of this?

As I followed the series I began to wonder if perhaps Legends was some kind of alternate time
line, or perhaps Voulnut was a predecessor to classic Mega Man. After all, there were many mentions of
Ancients, and Voulnut seemed to be one of these Ancients, or at least like them. But, I think it was Mega
Man ZX that did it for me. I saw the connection. The Mega Men... It wasn't a mere name, it was a title
passed down to great warriors who, when needed most, stood against all odds to save us. But surely there
was more to it than that. Proto Man and even Bass have helped save the world before, but they were never
dubbed a Mega Man. So what does it mean to be a Mega Man? What was it twisted into in the time of the
Mothers, Gatz, Geetz, and Trigger? Just look at Mega Man Junohe certainly wasn't a hero. Then again,
perhaps he was at one time. Maybe he found himself stuck in the role of the hero for too long, and
became the villain just to escape the responsibility... Never before had a video game sparked such
thoughts in me. I had never found myself staring at my ceiling in the middle of the night, theorizing about
possible events that could have led up to the near flooding of the world, and the name Mega Man
becoming a sort of title. Legends made me wonder...made me think... It made me anxious to know what
would happen next.

We, the loyal followers of not only Mega Man Legends, but the entire Mega Man universe,
deserve answers. We deserve to know what happened to Juno. We deserve to know what it means to be
called Mega Man. What happened to Bass, Proto Man, and the Mega Man who started it all? Why is the
Earth of Legends covered with so much water? Will Tron ever come out and tell Voulnut how she feels?
Will we ever get a real romance going in a Mega Man series? What's a Purifier? Who was the Master?
These questions, and countless others, need answers. The franchise is incomplete. While that may seem
acceptable to a numbers man, it's a tragedy to all true fans of Mega Man.

Legends was more than just some experiment with 3D. Inafune intended it to be the grand finale.
The Legends series was meant to link Classic to X, X to Zero, Zero to ZX, and ZX to the present situation
of Terra (Earth of Legends). Everything would be answered in this series. We would finally have
resolution. This is why Mega Man Legends 3 is so crucial. One of the longest running series in video
game history, and one of the most popular platformers, and by far one of the most famous games Capcom
has ever made, is unfinished. That alone is enough to make a real gamer outraged, and should outrage the
company that owns Mega Man.

Mega Man Legends became my favorite game the first time I played it, and now, more than a
decade and half later, it's still my favorite game. When I was a teenager I was a very active member of a
Mega Man message board, and my username was Juno, after the final boss of the first Legends ga me. I
even roleplayed as Juno in a very lengthy roleplay thread we had on that message boardand when I say
lengthy, we're looking at about 7 or 8 years of posts and nearly 600 pages. I've played probably close to
500 video games in my life, some of them are older than me, and some of them are new releases. I have
played virtually every Mega Man game that exists, but nothing can touch Mega Man Legends in my
opinion. Heroes get remembered, but legends never die...

Please, I've been following Mega Man basically since I learned how to jump & shoot at the same
time. I, and thousands more, desperately want to see this game completed. It is my deepest wish that you
will take to heart the many letters that have been sent, and will likely continue to be sent to you regarding
what could be one of the greatest games in Mega Man history, and find a way for Mega Man Legends 3 to
be made.

- Adam
Hello. My name is Garrett Crowl from Lincoln, NE.

I first played Mega Man 3 clear back in '91 and grew up with the franchise. I actually got a Playstation
solely for the additional Mega Man games that came out on it (never was interested in Final Fantasy or
the typical Playstation games), and I really fell in love with the Mega Man Legends games. It was still
Mega Man, but different and thoughtful enough to live alongside the main games without outcry. When I
heard that a new one was coming out, I was excited and it was an attributing factor to buying a 3DS with
the hopes of playing a bit of it at eShop launch. Even when it was only the "Prototype Version" that was
going to be released for a few bucks, I was still excited because after so long I'd finally be able to play
another game in the series. I was deeply saddened by the announcement that we'd not even get the
"Prototype Version". I actually cried a bit.

Till this day, people don't understand this decision, including me. I've been racking my brain as to why
Capcom would do this to no avail. It wouldn't have been that bad if we had the "Prototype Version", and
it would've been a win-win regardless of the outcome for Capcom. There is a good documentary on
Youtube made recently entitled "Mega Man Legends 3 Documentary by Get Me Off The Moon". It does
a really good job of summing up what we were put through, and why there is such controversy toward
you from fans. Canceling a game is one thing, but you owed us the "Prototype Version", and in my mind,
still owe us it. The worst part is, that from the sources we have, it was completely done and ready to be
released.

I really hope you didn't delete the project in it's entirety and have a working version still. As, I will buy it
day one release on eShop or wherever you put it up for sale. Or, at the very least, I hope we get
reasonable answers to why the completed "Prototype Version" didn't even get released. As, the reasons
you publicly mentioned, I'm calling a load of bull.

Thank you for your time.

At the time, the Mega Man Legends games were a fresh look to an already great franchise, the new vision
for Mega Man simply blew my mind, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one. At the time, the game gave me
hours upon hours of fun finding secrets and trying to understand the game (I'm from Mexico, and at the
time, my English level wasn't that good). We were left with an unfair cliffhanger at the end of Legends 2.
We deserve closure for a game that gave us so much at the time. And maybe we will thanks to you guys
at GMOTM. Congratulations on your 5th Anniversary and thanks for the hard work you've done to try to
get back one of our friends from the moon _

Capcom, has made plenty of questionable sequels. Dino Crisis 3 comes to mind. They have made tons of
sequels, squeezing out old content. Resident Evil comes to mind. Cancelling Megaman Legends 3,
though, was simply a blunder.

They developed a huge part of Megaman Legends 3 before scrapping it, after leaving Megaman Legends
2 on a cliffhanger. If ever they gambled on a sequel, it wasn't with Megaman Legends 3, and not releasing
it, was the real waste of company resources. The release couldn't have been less profitable, than scrapping
a mostly completely developed product.

Hey, I mean, you could have done a survey, to see how many potential customers are interested, but you
did exactly that, expecting less than 100,000, and when there was much more than 100,000, it was still
scrapped. You could even do a Kickstarter now, and see the interest involved, and despite the negative
image Kickstarter currently has, the goal would STILL likely match Shenmue 3. Planetary Annihilation
had 44,000 backers and earned $2mil, what could 100,000 backers do?

We are begging, but we shouldn't have to be, because it's a financially sound investment with a player-
base to support it. Despite our convincing arguments, we are still begging. We are begging, because it's a
precious and important series to us, if ever we could ask for one to revive.

It's cancellation is probably what drove me to sardonic humor and following developments of indie and
spiritual-successor games for most my adulthood. Which I probably owe you my thanks for, not to
mention, Electronic Arts for "Sim City", Konami for "Silent Hills", Electronic Arts for "Mercs Inc.", Uber
Entertainment for "Monday Night Combat", Electronic Arts for "Command and Conquer", Electronic
Arts for "Need for Speed"... did I mention that I strongly dislike Electronic Arts?

I get the risk of game development, and the structural integrity of publishers, but all the evidence is there,
the long-term support of internet communities, the begging, the huge sales of Megaman Legends on
Playstation Network... the risk is nonexistent, and the reward is a huge surge of fame and reputation for
bringing it all back to the grateful fans.

We, as committed consumers, will recognize and appreciate how honorable a decision it is for a publisher
to nurture it's fanbase, setting you above and ahead of Nintendo for filing Cease&Desist against non-
profit fan-art, and Electronic Arts for obtaining studios just to make short work of shutting them down.
Capcom isn't "evil" or "stingy", they have always been above other companies in that regard, and
Megaman Legends 3, would be a way to strengthen that reputation, AND profit off selling it as a high-
demand product.

Megaman Legends. When I hear or see the words Megaman Legends, I feel two emotions: Joy and
Sadness.

Joy.
Megaman Legends was one of the pillars of my childhood.
It let me explore new worlds, meet new people. It wasn't just a game, it was an experience.
It was one of the games that made me realize that hey; I WANT TO MAKE GAMES LIKE THIS. I want
to let the next generation to experience the marvel that I had when I was a kid.

Sadness.
I felt devastated when Legends 3 was cancelled. I remembered dropping everything and just staring at
nothing. Up to this day, I've never got over it.

I am now an working on the Game Industry and on my way to fulfull my childhood dream.
I would like to thank you guys for helping me be the person that I am right now.

Megaman Legends is a game that the New Generation deserves to experience. Megaman Legends
deserves a proper closure to everyone of us who kept it alive in our hearts through all these years.

Let us not forget of the little boy who sacrificed his life to save everyone.
Let us not let his legend die.

- Sincerely,
Franz
Hi, I am a big fan of Megaman Legends series. (>,<)b

I bought this game when I was in elementary school. I enjoyed playing this game so much. I loved the
story, the characters design, the music, the scenery, the gameplay, and all I could say this is a masterpiece
game for PS.

I spent many hours to finish the game, then play it again to explore the dungeons looking for items and
collecting zenny or just goofing around the cities, doing the side quest, kicking cans and vending
machines, interact with NPCs, or just simply listening to music on apple market and museum. I'm so
amazed of how the sub-gates connected to each other.

This world in Megaman Legends, the peaceful ambiance of watery world is something that always sticks
in my mind till now. I was so eager to play the sequel of this game.

The 2nd game (Megaman Legends 2) was sooo amazing, that it has a bigger world to explore, more
characters, more new items, and a new episode to be unfold. However, the ending on MML2 just left
many questions and story untold. T___T

"Will Roll and Tron work together to save Megaman?"

"How will Megaman Volnutt get off the moon?"

when the 3rd game was about to release in 3DS, years

ago, I was so excited and about to buy 3DS only to play
MML3. But it got cancelled and I got so disappointed.

I really wish for the Megaman Legends 3 to be released

in the future.

Hey, Team. My position on the "Get me off the moon" and "100k strong" have been pretty lacking of late,
I've been taking a patient eye hoping for some news on the project. But after watching the Legends 3
Documentary, man, it just sparked up my fire all over again, call it rage at the circumstances, or passion at
my favorite game, let's hope we pull through. I personally don't care about the raffle, the prizes are cool
and I'll accept should I win by miracle, but I don't expect anything from it, my favorite gift would be
Legends 3.

Testimony: I am a video game addict, not literally, but I have more games and game time under my belt
than most people. As someone who loves customization and creativity, on finding the megaman games I
was interested, and enjoyed the character designs immensely. However, I never considered myself a
Megaman fan, despite playing most Megaman and Megaman X era games to near completion, I was a kid
after all. However, I remember as a kid walking into a Blockbuster and looking for a new game for my
N64, and lo-and-behold, Megaman, a game that while I didn't love, I knew it meant quality. And boy, was
I wrong on that first note. Over the years I had checked out Megaman 64 a dozen times, playing it to near
completion, before starting it all over again, which was rare. I don't typically restart games that I've
completed or near-completed. In time, I found a copy of Legends 2, which I state with no trepidation I
pirated. The game was far to hard to come by, and pricey for a lower-middle class kid. Needless to say,
Megaman Legends 2 is my favorite game in existence, and that is a hard title to come by. Upon hearing
Misadventures of Tron Bonne was on the PSN, I was ecstatic,

I've bought all three Legends games on PSN, I've logged hundreds of hours into each one alone (My first
playthrough of misadventures alone took me 100 hours, well, 93) but that's all just my, and I'm sure many
other fan's emotional attachment.

My other point is this: Skyrim, Legend of Zelda; Breath of the Wilds, Fallout 4, Minecraft, No Man's Sky,
Horizon: Zero Dawn etc. All of these games are the BIGGEST selling and hyped games in recent years,
notice a trend? All of which are a gameplay style that was previously hindered by hardware, "Open-
World" a term I used prior to describe Legends 1, and that was the most closed box out of the three
legends games. Put simply, not only do the fans want Legends 3, as the entire development was directed
at us. The current face of gaming is screaming for more Open world, for more customization, for more of
what Legends 1 and Legends 2 had LONG before it was the norm.

That, and I'm getting bored, I need another game to sink a couple hundred hours into.

I recall going to the local Blockbuster Video and renting Mega Man Legends for the PS1. I didnt have a
memory card at the time, so I would just play as much as I could without dying or turning off the game.
One night, my Play Station worked overtime and kept the game paused while I slept so I could continue
my quest in the morning.

I finally got past a super difficult boss fight just before one of the final ruins, and wouldnt you know the
rental game would freeze In the same spot every time I loved the game so much, that I would play
through it over and over, defeating the difficult boss and getting to the same spot with fingers crossed, but
the game froze each time.

Finally one day, I bought a memory card, and then purchased the game for myself so I could make it past
the point in the game that kept freezing. It was one of the best days for gaming that I can remember. The
wonder and awe of whats next, and I was not disappointed.

Sadly, this is where I again find myself with Mega Man Legends 3. I play the first two over and over,
hoping the games dont freeze But they do. There is no Mega Man Legends 3 for me to purchase to
continue this story.

I know now that there are more important things in life than video games. But, I would still greatly
appreciate the ability to invest my hard earned money toward a game that I strongly want to play and
enjoy. And it would be great to have the continuation of the Legends story that my children will get to
enjoy in the near future.

Operation Legendary Resolve - Megaman Legends 3 Project

Hi guys, my name is Fernando, but you can call me (Fer.I.am), and Im from S.L.P. Mxico. Recently I
heard about your most recent campaigns and became very excited because Id love to be part of one of the
most dedicated efforts to bring back Megaman Legends 3. Im amazed at how your passion for this series
helps to motivate people around the world to raise their hands for a common cause.

With all this energy and these good desires, I share with you some of my experiences with the Megaman
franchise for the Operation Legendary Resolve campaign.

First of all, you must know that Megaman is my favorite video game franchise, I think that this is because
the first VG I played in my life was Megaman 2 on the NES. I still remember the day when my father
came to the house with the console and showed me the entire intro of the game. I was totally impressed
with everything: the music, the colors, and the mechanics. I remember that I was very bad. I fell off every
cliff or died instantly with any spike. Sometimes I was just fine watching my father play the game and I
remember being immensely happy when he finished the game because I could finally watch the ending.

I think I was 5 or 6 years old and I spent endless nights trying to beat
robot masters or just watching my dad play. I love Megaman because it
created a moment where I could share something with my father. Later
my dad gave me his NES so that I could play for more time. I have
never been a lazy/conflicted boy, so it was a reward for my good grades
in school, and even to this day I keep that console as one of my beloved
goods in my VG collection.

Moving on in my life, I remember finding it difficult to play games in

general because they were expensive and my family couldnt afford to buy another console (this was in
the years 2002-2005, when everyone was playing X-BOX, PS2, GC). That was until one day when my
father came back to the house with a second-hand X-BOX with some games. I was happy because we
could finally play something in common again, but my excitement went down when I discovered that the
games he brought were Van Helsing and Fifa 2006, and here, let me explain something to you: I like
video games that provide some kind of fun challenge, but when it comes to shooters or sports video
games, Im complete garbage.

I know this because even when I try to do what the games tell me, I fail miserably and end up quitting as a
casual. That never happened with Megaman, because eventually I would memorize the patterns and
become good at the game. Im not saying that those genres are bad, Im just saying that I dont know how
to play them and theyre not appealing to me. I later discovered that I was more into RPG games like
Mother 3, Earthbound and Pokmon.

So, I just didnt give a damn about that X-BOX and stopped playing it. My dad noticed that, and this is
when he gave me my first Megaman Collection as a Christmas present. It was the Megaman Anniversary
Collection for the X-BOX. You can imagine how happy I was when I discovered that I could play the
whole storyline of the Classic Megaman franchise on one console.

I finished every game and started caring more about the Megaman lore. The new characters were
charming and cool. I also liked the concept of futuristic robots trying to destroy the world in general.

After this game, I remember stepping away from the world of gaming. This was, in part, due to the peer
pressure of my schoolmates at a time when everyone was dating and hanging out. I live in a small town
called San Luis Potos. Were about two million people, and in the neighborhoods, everyone knows
each other, so I started playing casually with my Gameboy SP. At this time, I discovered the Battle
Network series. I liked it because, as I said earlier, I enjoy RPG video games. I finished Blue Moon, but it
wasnt until Starforce when I really got back into video games.

At that time I was 14 years old, and along with a friend I started playing Megaman Starforce. I remember
that I chose Pegasus because It was the only one in the store when I found it. I identified a lot with the
game because the characters were kids like my friends and I, and the topics that the game showed were
some of the same things that I was experiencing in school. Then Starforce 2 came out during the Nintendo
NFC WI-FIs year of glory. Pokmon, Mario Kart and Megaman Starfoce 2 were the games that I spent
the most time with online. Here, I can show you how many battles I fought in Star Force 2:

Now that I think of it, I really had a lot of time back then. I remember playing all night long until morning
and feeling amazed with the battles that I had. I really, really enjoy Starforce 2. After that, Starforce 3
came out, but unfortunately, I couldnt buy it on time and the game became very rare here in my city.
Later the WI-FI was shut down, and I felt heartbroken because I never got the chance to experience that
game online.

Later on, my friend bought another Megaman game that I didnt know about. It was Megaman ZX
Advent, and I was jealous because I wanted to own it but it was very rare to find.

Those were the games that got me into the Megaman franchise, and I liked them all, so I decided to start
looking up the other games in the franchise that I was missing. I discovered the X, Zero and ZX sagas
when I started working. In the last 6 years I have been working and studying non-stop, hunting down the
Megaman games that I can afford. Ive been looking on the internet, in my city and even on Facebook
pages. I love to preserve the games and introduce other people to the franchise.
This is the result of all those years of hard work and dedication. It may not be the most amazing collection
ever, but Im really happy with what Ive acquired by my own efforts. There are also some games in this
collection that my father and my family helped me buy, so its very special to me:

As you may have noticed, I havent mentioned the Legends games in this letter thus far. Dont think that I
have forgotten about them. Of course, those games are incredibly expensive here as well. The amount of
money that people ask for them is ridiculous, but at least this is when PSN come in handy.

When a friend of my dad told us that he would lend us his PS3, I didnt lose a moment to buy a PSN card
and get the 3 Legends games. At the moment, I have just finished Legends 1 and now Im playing
Legends 2. I just dont want to finish the game because I know theres still no sequel to finish the saga,
but eventually its going to happen.
Finally, I want to say Hi to every person behind the 100,000 Strong for Bringing Back Mega Man
Legends 3 page and @GetMeOffTheMoon. Sometimes its difficult to find someone in real life to talk to
about the things you like, and even more if the thing you like is Megaman, but your posts and notes have
kept my interest alive, and the proof of that is this very letter. Even if my English grammar is trash, I want
to share this with you.

Anyone who loves Megaman and sees your work should be proud of being a part of this fan base. Thanks
for the opportunity, the effort, the presence, and the passion. I cant thank you enough for all you have
done, guys. Just always keep in mind those 100,000+ people who support your work. We are dedicated
Megaman fans who wish to see Megaman back. MEGAMAN LEGENDS 3 DESERVES TO BE MADE,
BECAUSE, LEGENDS NEVER DIE!
