    Utilitarianism is a consequentialist moral theory that judges the rightness of actions based on their consequences. It holds that an action is right if it maximizes overall well-being and happiness, also known as utility. Utilitarianism focuses on outcomes and contends that the morally best action is the one that produces the greatest amount of good for the greatest number of people.
