Greetings from Mrs. Tatomer

Can you believe it is already May? The school year has flown by so quickly. We would like to thank all of you for
what has been a wonderful year. All of us have enjoyed teaching and watching each student learn and grow in so
many ways. The joy they have brought to us has enriched each day of this school year.

Redeemer Lutheran School will celebrate its 50th anniversary on August 21, 2011. A special celebration will fol-
low our 10:00 A.M. service on that day. It has always been the desire of Redeemer Lutheran Church and School
that every child be drawn closer to our Lord and Savior, through their educational experience here, and for 50
years, from 1961-2011, we have been blessed to be a part of the lives of thousands of children.

The Lord has been gracious by allowing us to keep most of our teachers and staff for the coming school year.
We are thrilled that Mrs. Cathy Fischer, Miss Susan Steinburg, Mrs. Piper Nuetzel, Mrs. Janet Johnson, Mrs.
Jean Robinson, Mrs. Krystal Cochran, Mr. Mark Nuetzel, Mr. Bob Brown, Mrs. Genie Murphy, and Mrs. Kathy
Morrison, will be returning for the 2011-2012 school year. We have been richly blessed by all of these people
and look forward to having them return. Miss Eileen Marting will return in August to teach first grade. Please
continue to keep her in prayer, as she continues to heal.

We would like to thank Mrs. Kelly Wilkerson for the terrific job she has done teaching our first grade, in the
absence of Miss Marting this year. Mrs. Wilkerson has been a refreshing addition to our faculty and we will
miss her positive and professional personality. She will be moving to Louisiana and will be a blessing to another
school there.

A special thank you to all of our Redeemer church and school families for giving me the honor of being your
principal. As I prepare to go back to classroom teaching next school year, I feel blessed by the experience I
have had here. I am not moving away and look forward to attending Redeemer functions next school year. A
special thank you to Pastor Fischer, Kathy Morrison, and all of our awesome teachers. It has been a pleasure
working with each of them. I also want to thank our students who have been the sweetest and most well-
behaved students I have had in any school. I have had such pride in knowing that they are bright, caring, and
wonderful Christian examples. There is no doubt that I will miss them daily. They have brought tremendous joy
to my job and life.

As we finish out the last month of school and continue to plan for the coming year, do not hesitate to bring any
questions you might have to my attention. Please continue to keep our church and school in prayer. Have a ter-
rific summer! School will resume August 22, 2011.

By His Grace,
Mrs. Tatomer
“I thank my God every time I remember you.
In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray for joy.”

Lutheran High Lynx News

A Word From

Lutheran High School:

And now it’s May! The school year is rapidly drawing to a close and it’s time to prepare for the next school year already. I
am just amazed at how quickly this year has gone by! In April, Mrs. Mousley and the drama students put on their wonderful
production of The Ransom of Emily Jane at our Lutheran elementary schools and at St. John’s. I hope you were able to at-
tend at least one of the performances.
By the time you read this, we may already know if we will be moving to a new campus! Lutheran High has been told that the
LCEF loan committee will meet on April 27 to discuss (and hopefully approve) our loan for the new campus in Riverton. Also
through May, Cornerstone Stewardship Ministry will continue to conduct a feasibility study for a Partners In Ministry capital
campaign in conjunction with the transformation that the Task Force is working on.
May has some other exciting events in store for us as well. On May 4-5 we will have our National Lutheran Schools Ac-
creditation team site visit. This is an important couple of days for us to showcase the amazing education and ministry that
occurs every day at Lutheran High! The Junior class will have the Jr/Sr Prom on May 14th at La Caille. On May 19th, we will
host our annual Awards Night beginning at 6 p.m. On Friday, May 27th, Lutheran High will host the annual Lutheran
Schools’ Field Day at Cottonwood Park. If you have an opportunity, I highly encourage you to attend this entertaining day!
In addition, our Soccer, Track and Golf teams continue to wrap up their seasons.
As you know, we are now accepting applications for enrollment from all students for the 2011-12 school year. Applica-
tion packets are available on our website, www.lhs-slc.org. If you, or any of your friends or acquaintances, are looking for a
high school home for next year, please come by to visit about the wonderful things Lutheran High has to offer. We are a
school that provides an excellent college-prep education; have teachers that get to know and care about their students on a
personal level; and most importantly, we share the Good News of the saving work of Jesus Christ with our students and
families every day! Some important dates to note concerning enrollment for next year are:

At Lutheran High, we are truly blessed by God to have such a great student body, talented faculty, dedicated staff, faithful
supporters, and committed families and congregations. For more than a quarter of a century, Lutheran High has had the
privilege and mission to teach God’s Word and its saving message to our students and families. You have been an active
and integral part of that ministry and we are thankful for you. Please continue to keep Lutheran High and its students, fami-
lies, and staff in your prayers. Please continue to support Lutheran High with your time, talents, students, and treasures as
God has blessed you. Please continue to promote Lutheran High with your friends and acquaintances and share our story.
You are our best ambassadors! Thank you!
You are always more than welcome to stop by Lutheran High whenever you are in the area. I encourage you to visit so you
can see the amazing things God is doing here. Thank you for your continued support and prayers!
