Comparative study of specific heat capacities of some vegetable oils obtained by DSC and
microwave oven. J Therm Anal Calorim 2005;79:2837. doi:10.1007/s10973-005-0050-x.
DESCRIPTION
The heat exchanger will be used to pre-heat the rice bran oil from room temperature (30 C) to 90 C, for the
purpose of decreasing the viscosity of the rice bran oil from. Pre-heating the rice bran oil will aid in the transport of
rice bran oil from its storage to the fluidized bed reactors with less amount of pumping requirements.
ASSUMPTION(S)/BASIS
1. Steady state.
2. The reference temperature used to calculate for the enthalpy of a specific stream is 0 C.
3. No reaction along the pipes reaction only occur at the reactors.
