FUSE BLOCK SERVICE PROCEDURE

MT700C & MT800C TRACK TRACTORS
SUBJECT

To ensure that the fuse block is serviced properly a new procedure has been identified on the MT700C and
MT800C Track Tractors. The new procedure provides instructions on how to service the fuse blocks, wiring or wire
connectors. Use these procedures when servicing the fuse blocks to prevent additional damage and/or
unnecessary part replacement or repairs.

8. Figure 5 shows an exploded view of the fuse block, the back side of the front panel and front cover seal.

Notes:
The front cover has a top and a bottom as seen by the label area indicated by the red arrow in
Figure 5. The fuse block can be damaged if installed incorrectly.

Pins can be inserted into a fuse block without removal of the front panel.

It is sometimes easier to install the front panel before pins are reinserted. Pins should snap into
place when fully installed.

9. After front cover of fuse block is removed, the pin connectors can be accessed and individual wires can be
removed.

10. Make sure all plastic wire connector

retaining clips are in the locked position
tight against the pin as seen In Figure 6
before attempting to install the front cover.
Note:
The front panel has webbing that assists
the pin locks against the pin.

If the plastic tab is not locked to the pin,

parallel with the pin, the tab will push
away from the pin and prevent proper
front panel installation.

It is easier to:
o Remove front panel to remove the
wires being repaired.

o Reinstall front panel so webbing

can support pin retaining clips.

o Then reinstall wire connectors into

fuse panel after assembly.

o You should feel each wire click

into the retaining lock during
installation.
