SPECIFIC COURSE INFORMATION
a. Course Description
This course will provide the students a review of mathematical principles and chemical
engineering principles. General engineering includes basic mathematics starting a review of
algebra, trigonometry, and analytic geometry progressing to calculus, differential equations,
physics, mechanics and strength of materials.

SPECIFIC GOALS FOR THE COURSE
a. Course Objective
Students are expected to apply chemical and physical principles, general engineering concepts and
chemical engineering fundamentals in solving problems as a general review of the chemical
engineering course.
b. Course Outcomes
By the end of the course, the students will be able to:
1) Analyze chemical engineering problems as to its requirement given specified
conditions;
2) Provide detailed solutions in solving general engineering problems;
3) Explain basic knowledge concerning physical and chemical principles;
4) Evaluate chemical engineering problems using Perrys handbook as a source of physical
and chemical data; and
5) Reflect on personal transformations along the TIP Graduates Attributes.
