PRODUCT OF THE BUSINESS

The main product of Shreeji Traders is textile clothes, specially dealing


in Kanga- which is a traditional dress of people of East Africa

OBJECTIVES OF THE BUSINESS

The main objective of formation of ‘Shreeji Traders’ was earning profit.


As the industry was fresh, there was wide scope of textile business in
the market. This gave a perfect platform for the company to rise and
capture its place in the market.

COMPANY INFORMATION

Shreeji Traders was established in the year 1994. It’s a


registered partnership firm. Mr. Praveen Rughani and his son Mr.
Bhavik Rughani are the two partners of the firm. Initially setup by Mr.
Praveen and later taken over by his son Mr. Bhavik.The Company has
also got a registration from DGFT. Shreeji Traders is an Export
Company of textiles mainly dealing in ‘KANGA’ which is a traditional
dress worn people of East Africa. In 2007 the company decided to
diversify its activities to new line of products. Later on export of
Sanitary Wears was also the part of company’s activities.
ORIENTATION

This firm is oriented to Ethno-centric business as it facilitates trade to


East Africa only.

GOVERNMENT POLICIES

1. Timely delivery of funds.


2. All the government procedures regarding the international export
of textile goods should be followed.
3. Payment of warehousing charges and Octroi.
4. Timely filing of necessary documents regarding insurance and
tax.

PULL FACTORS

1. The domestic market of textiles were weak and more over there
was wide scope in the area of export of textiles to East Africa
which pulled the company towards international trade with
South Africa.
2. The partner of Shreeji Traders Mr. Bhavik Rughani had new
ideas as he was of the modern business age. His innovative ideas
led the company to greater heights into international trade.
PROCEDURE FOR EXPORT

1. The buyer of the product is approached by the seller through way


of contacts from well set firms existing in the market.
2. The buyer places his order in advance
3. The product is manufactured
4. Then its checked and verified for any rectifications
5. Packaging is done with the necessary details
6. Goods are stored in warehouses
7. All the necessary procedures for export of goods are fulfilled
8. The goods are loaded into the cargo ships
9. The goods are exported as per the order

The payment of the goods exported to the buyer is transferred


by the buyer through proper sources.

DIFFICULTIES & TRADE BARRIERS

1. One of the major difficulties is procurement of raw materials


needed for the manufacture of the product.
2. The textile product market is facing tough competition from its
competitors, so there should be uniqueness in the product, and
the company faces a challenge in this aspect also.
3. Delay in payment of previous consignments.
4. Changes in government policies regarding the export of products
is another trade barrier.

 Working Capital requirements of the company is met by the
financial institution.
 Special schemes provided from the bank to promote more usage of
funds for business related purposes
