The poorest are caught up in the vicious cycle of poverty because of

illiteracy and lack of education. Poverty keeps one generation after
another spiral down more and more into incompetent and incompatible in
society where survival is often based on education and skills.

Through Porshee Foundation Education Program we provide education to

the children of the most needy who otherwise couldn’t afford the luxury of
buying a book of alphabets or feel ashamed to send their children to
school because they can not even afford the small school fee, let alone
the cost to pay for the school dress and regular costs.

Mostly our schools deliver the early education of learning the alphabets,
words, basic arithmetic, teaching about hygine, good health and character
building.

We also identify individual adult students who are under serious threat of
leaving their education due to economic pressure.

Beginning from Scratch

The First School of Porshee Foundation (Amader Eskool) was established

in June 2010 at a small community who, generations after generations are
cleaners, sweepers and sewerage workers. With diligent interest on the
part of the community members, Porshee Foundation has began its first
class room on the porch of a house.

books and other materials are provided
as well as the education is given freely.
We not only teach them alphabets and
word meanings but also emphasize on
hygiene, basic health care, character
building and recreation.

After few days of its journey, we rented a single room at the community
and our students have go their school dress which they are so very proud
of, so are we. After all it’s a new dress for them in years, many of whom
used to come to school with no shirts on.
