RESUMO
SUMMARY
Given the importance of renal function in our organism and the high prevalence of
hypertensive patients, this study aims to analyze the data acquired from the patient
and to compare them with the literature, for an accurate diagnosis and an appropriate
treatment. In order to achieve this goal, an outpatient clinic was carried out with the
patient and an extensive bibliographic research was conducted in the scientific
databases Pubmed, Medline, Brazilian Journal of Hypertension, "Brazilian Society of
Cardiology", "Brazilian Archives of Endocrinology & Metabology and Scielo" Of the
descriptors, "Unilateral renal agenesis", "hypertriglyceridemia" and "hypertension".
Through the data collected from the patient, it was possible to observe that it was not
classified as a renal disease, but was predisposed to it, associated with the lipid
profile, which could also lead to some cardiac complications. It was possible to
observe in the last service that after the application of the dietary guidelines, the
patient obtained weight loss and a good acceptance of the diet, where it is expected
that there will be improvement in lipid levels and prevention of renal and
cardiovascular complications.
Key words: Unilateral renal agenesis, Hypertriglyceridemia, Hypertension
