Course Description
Welcome to Social Studies
Grade 7. This year we will
cover the first half of
American History starting
with the Native Americans
and ending with the Civil
War.
In this class, you will learn to
be a historian, a geographer,
a political scientist, an
economist, and many others.
Through the lens of history,
you will learn to look at

Classroom Policies, Procedures, & Grading
Entering Class: Gather any
necessary materials, quickly find
your seat, and begin working on

Your do nows will be graded as
quiz grades. If there are students
from a previous class, do not
enter until everyone has left the
room. Line up, quietly, against
the wall.
Bathroom Usage: School wide
policy states students may not
leave class in the first or last ten
minutes. Unless it is an
emergency, do not ask to use the
bathroom during direct
instruction or during directions.
Food & Electronic Devices:
Electronics should not be seen or
heard in the classroom (unless
given permission)
Exiting Class: The teacher, not
the bell, dismisses you upon
completion of these tasks.
